Abstract

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia face the threat of large volumes of imported goods exploiting loopholes in customs regulations. This study aims to analyse the vagueness of the phrase ‘per consignee per consignment’ in Article 29 (2) of Regulation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia No. 96 of 2023, as amended by Regulation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia No. 4 of 2025, and to formulate a legal reconstruction of the article in order to provide protection for MSMEs. This normative legal study employs two approaches: the statutory approach and the conceptual approach. The findings indicate that the current provision suffers from vagueness due to the absence of measurable restrictions on frequency, quantity of goods, and identity verification. Importers exploit this loophole in customs law by splitting documents to obtain exemption from import duties below the de minimis threshold of USD 3.00, which harms the domestic MSME market and undermines the principle of corrective justice. It is therefore necessary to amend this article by introducing restrictions on frequency, quantity of goods, and verifiable identity checks. These identity checks must be integrated in real time via the Customs-Excise Information System and Automation (CEISA) with the databases of the Directorate General of Civil Registration and Population (Dukcapil) and the Directorate General of Taxes. This revision of the legal substance is urgently needed to close loopholes that allow for the misuse of customs facilities, whilst also providing preventative legal protection and legal certainty for the sustainability of MSMEs, in accordance with the mandate of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia

Abstract

This study examines tourists’ experiences across each stage of the visitor journey at Keranggan Ecotourism Village. The village is a community-based tourism destination that was recognized among Indonesia’s Top 75 Tourism Villages in the 2023 Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI). The research was motivated by a research gap identified in previous studies, which primarily focused on promotion and destination management from the perspective of destination managers, while tourists’ experiences have received limited attention. This study employed a qualitative approach, using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The informants consisted of five tourists and two destination managers selected through purposive sampling, and the data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings indicate that during the pre-visit stage, tourists obtained information through Instagram, Google Maps, and recommendations from friends; however, they experienced limitations in accessing information regarding available activities and visitation procedures. During the during-visit stage, tourists appreciated the natural environment, tranquil atmosphere, and interactions with local residents, although challenges related to limited information and supporting facilities were still encountered. In the post-visit stage, tourists generally expressed satisfaction with their overall experience; however, some were hesitant to revisit due to accessibility constraints and the quality of certain facilities. The study also identified a gap between digital promotional content and the actual conditions of the destination. Therefore, destination promotion should focus on providing clearer and more accurate information that reflects the actual experiences of visitors

Abstract

Academic burnout has become an increasingly important mental health concern among medical students due to the demanding nature of medical education, characterized by intensive academic workloads, clinical responsibilities, and sustained psychological pressure. Understanding the psychological and environmental factors associated with academic burnout is essential for supporting students' well-being and academic success. This systematic review aimed to synthesize current evidence regarding the roles of academic stress, resilience, and social support in academic burnout among medical students. The review was conducted following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) 2020 guidelines. Literature searches were performed in PubMed, Scopus, ProQuest, and Google Scholar. A total of 1,358 records were initially identified, of which 10 studies met the predefined eligibility criteria and were included in the final narrative synthesis following the PRISMA 2020 selection process. The synthesized evidence consistently identified academic stress as the principal psychological risk factor associated with academic burnout, whereas resilience and social support emerged as the primary protective factors associated with lower burnout levels. Additional determinants, including personality traits, academic adaptability, anxiety, workload, psychological well-being, and life satisfaction, were also associated with academic burnout, indicating that burnout is influenced by multiple interacting psychological, academic, and environmental factors. Overall, the findings highlight that academic burnout among medical students is a multifactorial phenomenon, highlighting the importance of integrated psychological and institutional strategies that address both psychological risk factors and protective resources to support students' well-being and foster healthier learning environments in medical education. However, the findings should be interpreted with caution because most included studies employed cross-sectional designs and substantial methodological heterogeneity precluded quantitative meta-analysis

Abstract

The landslide in the Bawakaraeng Caldera in March 2004 produced approximately 200–300 million m³ of debris, which flowed into the Jeneberang River and caused sedimentation in the Bili-Bili Reservoir. This study aims to analyse the potential for landslides, the impact of landslides on sediment transport at Sabo Dams 7-7, 7-6, and 7-5, and the rate of sedimentation entering the reservoir. The methods employed include the MUSLE (Modified Universal Soil Loss Equation) for erosion analysis, the Meyer-Peter Müller (MPM) method for bedload sediment transport, and analysis of suspended sediment discharge using AWLR data. The results indicate that the landslide potential reaches 313.349 tonnes/year (830.593 m³/year), classified as very high. The highest sediment transport occurs at Sabo Dam 7-7 at 787.171m³/year, followed by a decrease at Sabo Dam 7-6 at 753.491m³/year and Sabo Dam 7-5 at 228.439 m³/year. Sediment entering the Bili-Bili Reservoir exhibits a seasonal pattern, with total accumulation reaching 799,170,000 m³ by 2025. The conclusions of this study indicate that landslides from Mount Bawakaraeng have a significant impact on increased sedimentation, and that the presence of sabo dams is capable of retaining some sediment, although they are not yet fully optimal

Abstract

This study examines how experiential meaning is constructed in The Sea Eagle through the transitivity system of Systemic Functional Linguistics. It aims to identify the process types and interpret how their distribution contributes to its descriptive character. The study employed a descriptive qualitative design and treated the text as a single documentary source. Clause segmentation and functional classification followed Halliday and Matthiessen’s transitivity framework and Eggins’s clause-based analytical procedure. The calculation comprised finite clauses that could be classified. One ambiguous construction was excluded because its clause boundary could not be established without reconstruction, while two nonfinite material extensions were discussed but omitted from the percentage calculation. Thirteen finite clauses were retained. Relational processes occurred eight times (61.5%), material processes four times (30.8%), and verbal processes once (7.7%). No mental, behavioral, or existential processes were identified. The relational clauses were evenly divided between possessive attributive and intensive attributive patterns, enabling the text to represent the eagle through its physical attributes, possessions, and functional characteristics. Material processes added habitual actions, particularly hunting and walking, whereas the single verbal process introduced an explanatory relation through means. These choices support the text’s descriptive purpose and also suggest a limited affinity with descriptive reports because several statements refer to eagles generically. Since the analysis concerns one text containing grammatical irregularities, the findings describe this specific textual configuration and should not be generalized to descriptive texts or learner writing more broadly.
