Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze a problem solving ability of students in mathematic to finished the question of problem solving for material linear program. This research applied for students grade XI in one of vocational high school in cimahi city with the sample 29 students. The method of the research is descriptive qualitative. The instrument is question of problem solving. The result by the task of students were score and analyze the mistake of the answer. The result show is the student who can not finished the problem of understanding a problem is 6 students. Students who can not planing the strategy or transformations is 11. Student who can not finished the problem solving is 18. Student who can not conclude the answer is 23. The conclution is the problem solving ability os students in one of vocational high school in cimahi is low, then efforts need to be made to improve.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the identity of the shadow of the pyramid concept based on the students' mathematical conception. This study was conducted by surveying participants through a question. Survey questions contain two concept definitions, namely the length of all ribs equal to 4 cm, and have diagonal sides. The participants were students of class XII-IPA in one of the Belitung District High School in the academic year 2018/2019. The answer to the survey question was the students' conception of the concept for the shape of the pyramid building. Analysis of student conceptions focused on identification points, such as ribs, shapes, side diagonals, base fields and pyramid erect sides. From the data analysis, four kinds of student shadow concept identities were obtained. Level geometry thinking students who stated that not all pythons were the same. length is at the level of analysis. While students who state the pyramid side do not have diagonals indicate their level of thinking is at the level of visualization. While students at the level of thinking abstraction are characterized by the identity of the yaitulimas concept having diagonal sides, irregular rectangular pyramid with diagonal sides on the base to identify the relationship between the diagonal side, pyramid height, and elements of the pyramid forming field.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the effect of the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum in mathematics learning according to students of class XI in one West Bandung District School. The research method used is a survey. Data obtained by giving questionnaires to students, then analyzed descriptively. Questionnaire consists of 16 items of statements regarding the implementation of 2013 Curriculum implementation and how students learn in mathematics learning. The research subjects consisted of 36 students. The results showed 36% of students agreed to the use of the 2013 curriculum in learning mathematics, but as many as 31% of students did not approve of mathematical classifications of interest & compulsory, besides students objected to the addition of class hours to the 2013 curriculum. The 2013 curriculum also has an impact on how students learn mathematics.

Abstract

The title article is influence model Discovery Learning to learning outcomes Mathematics Students Class VII SMP. This research problem formulation is there influence significant model Discovery Learning to Discovery Learning to learning outcomes mathematics students class VII SMP?. The aim research is to know influence model Discovery Learning to to learning outcomes mathematics students class VII SMP. The research used method is true experimental design by comparing model Discovery Learning with learning conventional. The research population is all over students class VII SMP amount to 263 student, and sampel the research s student class VII.6 and class VII.3 taken by random. Class VII.6 given learning with model Discovery Learning while class VII.3 with learning konvensional. Technik collection data used is Technik tes. The Average value student class used learning model Discovery Learning big as 80,31 while to class learning used learning conventional big as 73,73. The data collected analyzed used uji-t at a significant . Based on the results of calculations uji-t is thit= 2,13 >ttab = 1,671 can concluded that there is significant influence Model Discovery Learning to learning outcomes mathematics student class VII SMP.

Abstract

This research axamines about the influence of Quantum Learning model with presentation software media to students’ achievement on the integer multiplicationmaterial for the fifth grade at SD Negeri 5 Simpangkatis, which the purpose to determine whether or not the influence of Quantum Learning model with presentation software media to students’ achievement in integer multiplication material for the fifth grade at SD Negeri 5 Simpangkatis. This research was conducted in class V at SD Negeri 5 Simpangkatis in Academic Year 2018/2019.This research uses a quantitative approach with the “Pre Experimental design” method, and uses the design of One-Group Pretest-Posttes Design. The sampling technique in this research used purposive sampling. The population in this research were all students of fifth grade, while the sample of this research amounted to 24 students. The data collection techniques used in the form of tests consisting of 5 questions. The prerequisite test used is the Lillifors test in order to test the normality of the data. Based on the result of the Lillifors test it was found that the data were normally distributed. Based on the analysis of hypothesis test from the results of the T-test calculation with tcount>ttabel (18,06>2,05), it can be interpreted that Ha is accepted. So the result of this research show that there is a positive influence on the Quantum Learning model with presentation media to students’ achievement on the integer multiplicationmaterial for the fifth grade at SD Negeri 5 Simpangkatis.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of Indonesian Realistic Mathematical approach by using the colorful of sugar palm seeds to students’ mathematics learning outcomes of integers material for the fifth grade at used is SD Negeri 12 Simpangkatis.The method in this research is a quantitative research method with the type of quatitave research in experimental form with the design of one group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted in class V at SD Negeri 12 Simpangkatis, Bangka Tengah District, this research was conducted in the first semester of the Academic year 2018/2019. The population in this research were all fifth grade students at SD Negeri 12 Simpangkatis Academic Year 2018/2019 which consisted of 27 students. The sample in this research was the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 12 Simpangkatis with a total of 27 students, who were taken using Saturation Sampling techniquesThe results of this research indicate that the Indonesian Realistic Mathematical approach by using the colorful of sugar palm seeds to students’ mathematics learning outcomes of integers material for the fifth grade at SD Negeri 12 Simpangkatis. This is based on increased posttest results compared to the results of the pretest. In addition, the results of the hypothesis test obtained by the value of the results is tcount: 12.444 and ttabel: 1.703 based on criteria, tcount<ttabel then Ha is accepted tcount<ttabel Ho is rejected. The result is that there is an effect of Indonesian Realistic Mathematical approach by using the colorful of sugar palm seeds to the students’ mathematics learning outcomes in integers material for the fifth grade at SD Negeri 12 Simpangkatis.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effect of Van Hiele theory to material the understanding of mathematical concepts in the cubes for the fifth grade students at SD Negeri 46 Pangkalpinag. The type of research for the used quantitative research using the experimental research method “pre experimental design” (the one group pretest-postest design).The population in this research are the fifth grade students at SD Negeri 46 Pangkalpinang. The sampling technique used saturation sampling. The research sample are the fifth grade with totals 36 students. The data collection techniques in this research were in the form of questions, documentations and interviews. The data analysis techniques used the normally test, namely the liliefors test, and hypotesis testing using the related sample test in pairs with t-test. The result of this research shows that the Van Hiele theory influences the understanding mathematical concepts in the cube space material for the fifth grade students at SD Negeri 46 Pangkalpinang. This is based on the increased posttest result compared to the result of the pretest. In addition, the result of the hypotesis test are tcount: -4, 275 and ttable: 2, 028 based on criteria, tcount<ttable then Ha is acceptted tcount<ttable H0 is rejected. Based on the criteria on the hypotesis related curve for paired sampels namely if tcount is in the Ha acceptance area, the H0 is accepted, Ha is rejected. The result that there is the influence of Van Hiele theory to understanding mathematical concepts the cube space material for the grade students at SD Negeri 46 Pangkalpinang.

Abstract

This class action research aims to find out and analyze the improvement of mathematical problem solving abilities of students of class VIII-A of SMP IT Baitul Jannah through the Discovery method.Research problems in the form of low student interest and interest in mathematics so that the effect on the low ability to solve mathematical problems. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles. The research subjects were students of class VIII-A in the odd semester of Baitul Janah IT Middle School consisting of 12 male students and 19 female students, while the object of the research was the ability to solve mathematical problems. Data collection for each cycleuses test and observation techniques. Data analysis techniques consist of: 1) analysis of the results of observations, 2) analysis of the results of tests of problem solving abilities. To check the degree of data confidence, this study uses triangulation of other research sources, namely the principal, mathematics teacher, and students. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The increase is from pre-cycle that passed only 9 people or (29.03%) and did not pass 22 people (70.97%) increased in the first cycle to 20 people (64.52%) who passed 11 people (35.48%) did not pass, then in cycle II it became 26 people (83.87%) who graduated and 5 people (16.13%) who did not pass.

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the subjects that spearheads in other subjects. Mathematics is studied starting from elementary school to equip students with the ability to logically thought, analytically, systematically, critically, creatively, and the ability to work together. The sequential stages of aspects in mathematics are numbers, geometry and measurement and data processing. From the stages of the aspects mentioned it appears that the subject matter of numbers is the initial stage that must be mastered in mathematics. Numbers are the basic subjects that are very important for students to understand because they are the basic for other subjects. Integers is one of the mathematic subject. For this reason, this study aims to develop teaching materials in the form of student worksheet integer operation material for elementary school students. This research is the initial stage of development research. The subjectsof research were fourth grade students of elementary schools number 42 Pangkalpinang. The process of developing needs analysis teaching materials, modules are developed on concepts that are still not mastered by students, planning of unknow concepts by students, and developed to determine SK, basic competencies, indicators, syllabus, lesson plans, determining student worksheet elements, collect to material, prepare student worksheet drafts, and validate. From the design of this prototype produced the first prototype of the integer operation student worksheet for fourth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning device by usingapproach open-endedis good (valid, active and effective) to improve students' mathematical problem solving usingapproach. open endedTeaching material developed in the form of teacher books, student books. Student activity sheet, RPP. The development of teaching materials using theapproach open-endedand referring to the modified model of Thiagarajan 4-D teaching materials, namely defining, designing, developing and distributing. The results of the study showed that the teaching materials developed had the value of validity, practicality, teacher response, student response and the results of field trials. Based on the results of field trials, teaching materials developed using an open-ended approach can improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities so that their learning outcomes are better, from these results it is suggested that open ended approaches should be applied to schools.
