Abstract

Violence against children with disabilities remains one of the most complex human rights and criminal justice issues in contemporary society. Children with special needs are positioned as highly vulnerable groups due to communication limitations, social dependency, psychological vulnerability, discrimination, and limited access to legal protection mechanisms. This article analyzes the implementation of policing strategies in handling violent crimes against children with disabilities, particularly sexual abuse cases within the jurisdiction of Polresta Serang Kota. The study aims to examine police responses, investigative procedures, institutional barriers, victim protection mechanisms, and legal implementation regarding child victims with disabilities. The study employs a qualitative research method using a case study approach. Data were collected through literature review, legal document analysis, media reports, scientific journals, previous empirical studies, and comparative legal analysis. The research applies thematic qualitative analysis to identify patterns related to policing practices, victim-centered justice, accessibility of legal systems, and institutional effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of learning facilities and infrastructure as well as teaching motivation on teacher performance effectiveness. The research employed a survey method. The participants consisted of 80 respondents who were randomly selected from SMA Negeri 7 Tambun, Bekasi. Data were collected using a questionnaire based on a Likert scale. The validity and reliability tests confirmed that the research instrument was valid and reliable, while the normality test indicated that all data were normally distributed. The findings reveal that learning facilities and infrastructure have a significant effect on teacher performance effectiveness. Likewise, teaching motivation has a significant effect on teacher performance effectiveness. The coefficient of determination (R²) indicates that learning facilities and infrastructure, together with teaching motivation, have a strong relationship in explaining teacher performance effectiveness. These findings suggest that improving educational facilities and fostering teachers’ motivation can contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of teacher performance in the learning process.

Abstract

The birth of a baby is a highly anticipated and meaningful event for married couples. However, empirical evidence indicates that approximately 57% of mothers in Indonesia experience baby blues syndrome, placing Indonesia among the countries with the highest prevalence of this condition in Asia. The significance of a husband's assistance in reducing postpartum emotional disorders is shown by this phenomenon. The purpose of this research was to look at first-time mothers and how much impact a spouse's support has on baby blues syndrome. Participating first-time postpartum mothers were the subjects of this quantitative study that used a purposive sampling method. A measure measuring husband support and the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression measure (EPDS) were used to gather data. With the help of Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) version 25 for Windows, we performed data analysis using basic linear regression. A correlation coefficient of R = -0.813 and a significant value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05) showed that the husband's support had a highly significant impact on infant blues syndrome. These results show that first-time moms are less likely to experience baby blues syndrome if their husbands are more supportive. Women experience less emotional distress after giving birth to their first child when they have their husband's support.

Abstract

Social media has become a primary channel for government public relations practices in building public communication, yet few local government institutions have adopted public relations models that balance informative and dialogic approaches. This study aims to analyze the government public relations practices of the Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) – the Vocational Training Center of Tangerang City – through its Instagram account @blk_kotatangerang in fostering digital public participation. BLK Kota Tangerang is a Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) under the Manpower Office that organizes competency-based vocational training to reduce unemployment rates. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach, utilizing the Excellence Theory and the Four Models of Public Relations (Grunig & Hunt, 1984) as analytical frameworks. The findings reveal that BLK Kota Tangerang's communication strategy applies a hybrid model, characterized by the dominance of one-way information dissemination (public information model) combined with creative approaches (press agentry model), as well as dialogic efforts (two-way symmetrical model) through polling features and responsive interactions to capture public aspirations. This study contributes as a reference for local government institutions in optimizing social media as a participatory and effective public communication tool.  Keywords: Government Public Relations, Digital Public Participation, Excellence Theory, Four Models of Public Relations, Instagram

Abstract

This study aims to determine the communication strategies used by Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) families to maintain household harmony during long-distance marriages (LDM), particularly among KOPASGAT soldiers serving in the UN UNIFIL mission in Lebanon. Furthermore, this study explores the factors influencing successful communication and the obstacles that arise in long-distance relationships. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with five TNI KOPASGAT UNIFIL FBB soldiers in Lebanon as key informants, five wives, two children aged at least 10 years, and one expert informant in the field of family psychology. The theories used in this study are Family Systems Theory and The Interactional View. The results show that the communication strategies implemented emphasize openness, consistent communication, emotional support, and the use of digital technology. Factors supporting successful communication include trust, commitment, social support, and emotional maturity. Obstacles encountered include technical constraints, time differences, and psychological stress due to assignment situations in conflict areas. In conclusion, appropriate, adaptive, and systematic communication strategies play an important role in maintaining family harmony even when physically separated for a long period of time.

Abstract

Taxation is a crucial instrument for national development; however, its implementation in Indonesia continues to face psychological challenges, particularly when taxpayer adherence is driven more by coercion or fear of sanctions (obedience) than by voluntary awareness (compliance). This study aims to analyze how a psychological communication approach can transform taxpayers’ attitudes from compulsory obedience into voluntary compliance through the implementation of the integrated digital Coretax system. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach within a constructivist paradigm, drawing on compliance-gaining theory and attitude theory. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the application of five compliance-gaining strategies—rewarding, punishing, expertise, impersonal commitment, and personal commitment—effectively influenced taxpayers’ perceptions and behavior. Positive attitude changes were reflected in cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects, as shown by taxpayers’ understanding that Coretax is a more accessible and transparent system, reduced fear and anxiety, and the emergence of pride and trust in the state. Behaviorally, account activation increased to 92%, the compliance rate rose to 80.7%, and reporting patterns shifted toward more disciplined and proactive behavior. This study concludes that the success of tax modernization depends not only on technology, but also on persuasive, clear, and psychologically grounded communication. The implication of this study is that the Coretax system can help transform formal tax obligations into moral responsibility and tangible contributions to national development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the management of the Pelita Hati Library as a means of promoting public literacy in NanggerangJaya Village, Mandirancan Subdistrict, Kuningan Regency, as well as to identify the factors that support and hinder such management. This study employs a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. Informants were selected through purposive sampling and consisted of the Village Head of NanggerangJaya and the Manager of the Pelita Hati Library. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation, and the data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model based on Richard M. Steers’ theory of organizational effectiveness, which encompasses four dimensions: goal attainment, integration, adaptation, and sustainability. The research results indicate that, in terms of goal achievement, the library has organized a number of literacy programs, community participation remains suboptimal due to relatively low reading interest. In terms of integration, there is good communication and cooperation between the village government, the library manager, and the Posyandu Remaja (Youth Health Post) activities. In terms of adaptation, the library still faces constraints related to human resources, space, and budget, yet it continues to strive to maintain its literacy activities. Regarding sustainability, there is a commitment from the village government and library administrators to ensure the library’ continued operation through the establishment of a management board and the allocation of funds. Overall, the Pelita Hati Library has been quite succes activities, but it still requires strengthening of human resources, improvement of facilities, and community participation so that the library’s function as a literacy resource can be optimal in the village.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the implementation of a restorative approach in the management partnership between the school and the school committee influences student discipline at SMAN 4 Southeast Maluku. The restorative approach is an alternative form of discipline to punitive disciplinary practices, focusing on relationship repair, responsibility, and students’ social reintegration, as stated by Pranoto and Suwarjo (2021) and Hopkins (2016). This research employed a case study design with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies involving the principal, teachers, student representatives, and school committee management. The results indicate that there is a synergistic partnership between the school and the school committee in implementing restorative practices, such as peer mediation, restorative circles, and disciplinary conferences. These practices were effective in reducing repeated disciplinary violations, increasing students’ sense of responsibility, and fostering an inclusive, participatory, and respectful school climate. It can be concluded that strong collaboration between the school and the school committee is a key factor in the successful implementation of a restorative approach to discipline as an educational process for the school community.
