Abstract

Mojokerto Regency is one of the districts with a high number of pregnant women who experience chronic energy deficiency (KEK) and continues to increase every year. Chronic energy deficiency is a nutritional problem due to lack of food consumption and energy sources containing micronutrients. Though the intake of quality nutrition in sufficient quantities is needed for the health of pregnant women and the fetus in the womb. Therefore, this study aims to analyze whether there is a relationship between nutritional intake and the incidence of KEK in pregnant women at the Gedeg Mojokerto Health Center. Where the independent variable in this study is nutritional intake in pregnant women and the dependent variable is KEK in pregnancy. The design in this study was a cross sectional survey and the population was all pregnant women in the working area of Gedeg Mojokerto Health Center with a total sample of 75 respondents. The data from this study were processed using the Chi-square statistical test which was then followed by the Odds Ratio test. And from the results of the study, it was found that there was a significant relationship between nutritional intake of pregnant women and the incidence of KEK (Chronic Energy Deficiency) in the Puskesmas Gedeg Mojokerto, this was evidenced by the acquisition of a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05) which was further emphasized. with the results of the Odds Ratio (OR) which obtained a value of25.227 (> 1), where pregnant women with poor nutritional intake had a 25.227 times greater risk of experiencing KEK (Chronic Energy Deficiency) than pregnant women with good nutritional intake.

Abstract

Cataracts are the world’s second leading cause of blindness, trailing only uncorrected refractive errors. Based on the 2014-2016 RAAB survey, the blindness prevalence in 15 Indonesian provinces ranged from 1.4% in West Sumatra and 4.4% in East Java. A cataract is a clouding of the intraocular crystalline lens, in which this cloudiness can lead to a decreased vision function, and even it may trigger the emergence of blindness. The blindness caused by cataracts is preventable. This research aims to identify and collect data on the frequency of cataract patient profiles at the Eye Polyclinic of PKU Muhammadiyah Rogojampi Hospital in 2021. The research method utilized in this study was a retrospective descriptive study by applying a cross-sectional approach. The research data were attained from the secondary data, particularly in medical record examinations at PKU Muhammadiyah Rogojampi Hospital. This study was conducted from June to October 2021. The population of this research consisted of all cataract patients at PKU Muhammadiyah Rogojampi Hospital, in which the sample comprised 41 respondents. The data analysis using univariate analysis was denoted in the frequency distribution table. The results demonstrated that out of 41 respondents, 19 patients (46%) were about 60-69 years old, 26 patients (63%) were males, and 12 patients (29%) worked as farmers.

Abstract

One of the most common occupational diseases is noise-induced hearing loss. Noise-induced hearing loss is a decrease in the function of the sense of hearing caused by exposure to noise. Noise exposure greater than 85 dB and exposure for more than 8 hours will increase the risk of hearing loss. Hearing loss due to noise can cause an increase in the risk of work-related accidents which will have an impact on the safety of workers or the community. The purpose of this publication is to determine the relationship between duration of exposure and noise intensity to noise-induced hearing loss. The library method used is in the form of 31 literature sources consisting of 8 textbooks and 23 national and international journals with a time span of 2013-2020. From the results of the analysis there is a relationship between the length of exposure and the intensity of noise on the hearing loss of factory workers. It can be concluded that the duration of exposure and the intensity of noise affect hearing loss due to noise. Other factors that can affect the occurrence of hearing loss due to noise such as age, habits outside of work, and the use of PPE can also affect the occurrence of hearing loss due to noise.

Abstract

Stress, regular diet, and consumption of irritating food are some of the risk factors for dyspepsia. Medical students at the first level undergo a fairly high density of activities, where this requires an adaptation process that can cause stress. In stressful conditions, the regularity of eating patterns is disrupted. There are also many incidents of students consuming irritating foodstuffs.Aims of researchto analyze stress factors, regularity of eating patterns and consumption of irritating foodstuffs onthe incidence of dyspepsia in first-year medical faculty students. This research is an analytic observational study with a cross sectional study approach. The research activity was carried out at UMM Medical Faculty in November 2019 involving 60 students of the 2019 class. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The data analysis was carried out by the ichi-square test which was then carried out by the logistic regression test. This research shown76.7% of students suffer from dyspepsia, 65%experience stress, 61.7% have irregular eating patterns and 40% of students consume irritating foodstuffs. Stress and regularity in eating patterns affected the incidence of dyspepsia (p=0.022 and p=0.006), while irritative foods had no effect on dyspepsia (p=0.998).Stress and regularity of eating patterns affect the incidence of dyspepsia.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is a chronic and contagious infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tubeculosis. In terms of TB treatment, it still can’t be handled optimally, but there is a new problem namely Multidrug –Resistant which is now a global problem in various worlds. In Jember Regency, the detection of Multidrug –Resistant TB cases was known to increase rapidly in 2018. In the occurrence of a disease, according to H.L Blum (1981), there are 4 main factors the occurance of a diseas: lifestyles, environment, health care services, and pshycobiology. Environment have the biggest role out of those factors. This study to analyze the relationship between environmental factors and the incidence of Multidrug –Resistant Pulmonary TB patients in Jember Regency. This study used SEM –PLS (Structural Equation Modeling –Partial Least Square) correlation test. The samples are collected using area sampling method and the sample size is determined using Slovin’s formula becausethe population size is already known (144 respondents). Questionnaire that has been tested for validity is used as measuring instrument in this research.Based on the analysis of the SEM –PLS (Structural Equation Modeling –Partial Least Square) program which was carried out in a multigroup analysis of environmental factors. The Outer Model shows that the loading factor of occupancy density, family and job’s values is >0,6. Furthermore, the inner model shows that t-count of physical variables in MDR –TB cases is higher than the t-table(1,96). The results of the structural model for SEM –PLS analysis indicate a relationship between the occupancy density of the physical environment variables and the incidence of MDR –TB.There is a relationship between occpancy density in physical environment variables and the incidence of MDR –TB in Jember Regency.

Abstract

Hypertension is called the silent killer because most people with hypertension do not show symptoms. A decrease in blood pressure in people with hypertension can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, while an increase in blood pressure can damage blood vessels that affect organ function and can be life-threatening. 2018 basic health research, the incidence of heart and blood vessel disease is increasing from year to year. The level of awareness and individual behavior to control and manage hypertensionneeds to be increased so that hypertension can be detected and treated immediately so that it does not cause complications and even death. This study aims to analyze the relationship between behavioral factors and the incidence of hypertension in the Kanigoro Health Office, Blitar Regency. This study used the SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling –Partial Least Square) correlation test. Sampling using multistage random sampling method with a sample of 379 people. The analysis uses the SEM –PLS (Structural Equation Modeling –Partial Least Square) program. In the Outer Model, the results of motivation indicators, blood pressure monitoring cards, and the role of health workers have a loading factor value of > 0.7. The results of the structural model from the SEM –PLS analysis show that there is no relationship between behavioral factors and the incidence of hypertension. However, the relationship between behavioral factors has a t-count value above the t-table value (1.96). The results of the structural model from the SEM –PLS analysis show that there is a relationship between behavioral factors. The findings of this study indicate that there is no relationship between behavioral factors and the incidence of hypertension in the Kanigoro Public Health Center, Blitar Regency.

Abstract

Globally, it is estimated that around 422 million adults had diabetes in 2014. Diabetics then have a higher risk of developing other diseases, such as: stroke and heart attack. Circadian rhythm disorders such as sleep disorders are one of the factors causing type 2 diabetes mellitus. This study isintended to increase knowledge and as a basis for further research on the effect of circadian misalignment in type 2 diabetes mellitus and to determine the effect of sleep disorders on type 2 diabetes. This research is a literature review with a database of articles on Google Scholar, PubMed, and Science Direct from 2016 to 2021 from national journals, and international journals indexed by Scopus and ISSN. Circadian misalignment discussed in this study is that sleep disorders affect the incidence of type 2diabetes mellitus. Lack of or little sleep will affect type 2 diabetes mellitus. This effect is mediated by a number of hormones such as melatonin, cortisol, leptin, and ghrelin. There is an effect of circadian misalignment on the incidence of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
