Abstract

The education is the important actor to ensure national live continuity. Many of criminal case, student fight, underage rapes, drugs disseminating, and corruptions case was the indicator of moral degradation. Therefore, character and personality building by including religion values have to be applied. Refraction method in character and personal building is the important act to prevent those morals degradation. Children’s characteristic values will grow and develop positively appropriate with Islamic education teach, if school’s environment and children’s live domain espouse children growth with any goodness. This paper aims to reveal students Islamic characteristic values establishment by refraction method in SDN Babakan Sirna Sukabumi, by including sub focus in: (1) Aims of Islamic characteristic values establishment by refraction method in SDN Babakan Sirna Kota Sukabumi. (2) How is refraction form to establish Islamic characteristic values in SDN Babakan Sirna Sukabumi. (3) How is the evaluation system, and what character shaped in student’s personality by refraction method in SDN Babakan Sirna Sukabumi. (4) What is endorsement and obstacle factor to establish student’s Islamic characteristic values by refraction method in SDN Babakan Sirna Sukabumi.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the cognitive workload of students on mental arithmetic tasks. This study is a qualitative descriptive research. Data collection was conducted on students of Class VIII-C SMPN 1 Situbondo consisting of 32 students and taken 10 students as research subjects. Data collection techniques of this study were mental arithmetic tasks, NASA-TLX questionnaires, and interviews. The data collection instruments used were mental arithmetic task questions, NASA-TLX questionnaire rating sheets, and interview guidelines. 10 research subjects were selected based on the cognitive workload and mental arithmetic of students. The results of this study showed that 6.25% were in the category of very low cognitive workload, 12.5% were in the category of low cognitive workload, 25% were in the category of moderate cognitive workload, 43.75% were in the category of high cognitive workload, and 12.5% were in the category of very high cognitive workload. Subjects with very low cognitive workload did not experience stress or difficulty when solving mental arithmetic tasks. Subjects with low cognitive workload did not experience stress or difficulty when solving mental arithmetic tasks. Subjects with moderate cognitive workload experience slight difficulties when solving mental arithmetic tasks. Subjects with a high cognitive workload experience stress to the point of making the subject feel irritated when solving mental arithmetic tasks. Subjects with very high cognitive workload experienced stress to the point of making the subject feel irritated when solving mental arithmetic tasks.

Abstract

This study aims to compile a Roadmap for Language and Literature research in the 2016-2025 period and to predict lecturers' interest in research in the field of Language and Literature in accordance with the vision and mission of the study program and UPPS. This research refers to the results of research policy documents at the faculty and university levels, as well as documents of achievement of policies that have been previously determined. The FGD method is directed at reviewing existing documents. The analytical method used in this research is secondary data analysis or existing statistics. The results of this study are that in the next 10 years, the previous 5 years 2016-2020 represent basic research, the next 5 years 2021-2025 are development research. The priority topics that can become the umbrella for the Language and Literature research roadmap of FBS Surabaya State University for the 2016-2025 period are elaboration of Microlinguistics, Macrolinguistics, Literary Studies, Curriculum Studies, Learning, Literacy, Entrepreneurship for 2016-2020. This can be interpreted that the lecturers have implemented an efficient learning system that supports the careers of graduates later.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain how counseling guidance which includes planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring or evaluating at Karya Bunda Middle School. By using data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation studies. This research is descriptive, data collection is done by reduction, display, and drawing conclusions. Members of the guidance and counseling structure of SMP Karya Bunda were used as research subjects, and supporting subjects for two students and one homeroom teacher were used as subjects for research carried out at SMP Karya Bunda. The findings show that planning begins with the preparation of guidance and counseling service programs, namely in the form of lesson plans, annual, semester, and daily programs. Those providing counseling, advice, and services are prepared before planning begins. All parties, including the school principal, deputy headmaster and homeroom teacher, are involved in organizing guidance and counseling at Karya Bunda Middle School. The coordinator and counseling teacher decide on the formation and implementation of counseling as part of the student organization process. At Karya Bunda Middle School, daily supervision of counseling is carried out by supervising each program implemented and then evaluating it every two weeks to find out how successful the implementation of guidance and counseling services has been.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of teacher learning at Karya Bunda Mandiri Middle School, kec. Precut Sei Tuan, Kab. Deli Serdang. This study uses a description method with qualitative data analysis. This method aims to intensively study the background of the current situation and the environmental interactions of a social unit, be it individuals, groups, institutions or society. A descriptive research with a qualitative approach was carried out by digging up data sourced from the location. Data collection was collected through a qualitative analysis approach, by means of interviews, observation, and documentation. This research was conducted at Karya Bunda Mandiri Middle School, Kec. Percut Sei Tuan, Kab. Deli Serdang. The subject of this research is the teacher. This research is collaborative between researchers and teachers. The results of this study indicate that in the learning process, of course there is learning management under the teacher.

Abstract

The teacher is one of the main components in the world of education, to carryout the main tasks in education in charge of teaching and education. Without teachers, activities in educational institutions will not be able to run even educational and teaching activities will stop. Teachers are a central component in educational organizations, therefore the management and performance of teachers must be designed in such a way as to achieve educational goals effectively and efficiently. As a unit in teacher performance management. In simple terms, the main objective of this research is to describe teacher performance management at Hasanah Integrated Islamic Middle School, Kec. Kotarih, Serdang Bedagai Regency. While the specific objectives of this research are to describe: 1) Management of teacher performance planning, 2) Implementation of teacher performance management, 3) Supervision and evaluation of teacher performance management, 4) Opportunities and obstacles in the implementation of teacher performance management. This research method is descriptive qualitative and data collection techniques are interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects are school principals, teachers, and stake holders in teacher performance management.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi modul fisika virtual berbantuan game dalam prosses pembelajaran pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Modul fisika virtual berbantuan game diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta sehingga akan mempengaruhi peningkatan pada hasil belajar siswa. One grup pre-test post-test adalah metode penelitian yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini. One group pre-test post-test adalah kegiatan penelitian yang memberikan tes awal (pre-test) sebelum diberikan perlakuan, lalu setelah diberikan perlakuan barulah memberikan tes akhir (post-test). 25 siswa dari kelas XI IPA 3 MAN 2 Madiun akan terlibat dalam penelitian ini. Hasil respon siswa setelah diterapkannya modul fisika virtual berbantuan game menunjukkan 78,16 keterangan baik. Selain itu modul fisika virtual berbantuan game ini dinyatakan ole kelima validator dengan hasil CVR sebesar 1 dengan kategori sangat layak. Nilai N-Gain rata-rata untuk tingkat hasil belajar siswa sebesar 0,88 dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil data penelitian tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul fisika virtual berbantuan game mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The theoretical research aim is to investigate statements written by Stephen Krashen in his book Free Voluntary Reading about the use of Narrow FVS (free voluntary web-surfing) in reading and its potential to foster reading interest, motivation, and understanding of readers. Based on the literature review analysis, several points can be obtained that will make it easier for readers to develop their language skills and make them useful to understand a text. Kindly separate the rationale of narrow FVS, including narrow reading, free voluntary reading, and free voluntary web surfing, all three of which can be concluded to have good potential in making it easier for readers to understand a reading text, get varied input material easily, and be a good solution for growing reading habits. The research can be concluded from several analyses of the three techniques, which have the same characteristics, including extensive reading and pleasure reading, so they can be combined. In addition, reducing reading lexical load and anxiety will positively impact readers' motivation to continue reading in large quantities with more confidence

Abstract

The leadership displayed by many leaders today is seen as ineffective and brings significant changes to people's lives. A leadership requires a figure who can manage and manage the system. It makes the effectiveness and efficiency of the system run well towards the expected point. The figure of the leader must be able to work together with those around him, because thus the leader can optimize the existing potential. Leadership is clearly not just talking about position, but rather about influence. Referring to the importance of leadership, the opportunity to learn to be a leader needs to be pursued from an early age. This study aims to prove the influence of understanding the concept of leadership and individual maturity of prospective leaders. This study used descriptive quantitative methods. Before conducting field studies, researchers conducted a literature review on transformative leadership within the framework of Christian education. Respondents were selected as many as 100 students randomly, then analyzed the causal relationship that occurred in it. The results of data processing show that the influence caused by understanding the concept of leadership on the maturity of prospective leaders is 40.9%. Leadership is directed and emphasized on transformative aspects by implementing ennobel, enable, empowering, and encourage.

Abstract

The concept of critical thinking that comes from an understanding of concepts can be formed through providing real examples accompanied by material explanations. This ability is a cognitive skill in translating, interpreting, and re-explaining concepts in its own way. It also refers to the ability to explain a concept that has been understood in the form of oral or written explanation to others. Students' low understanding of a concept affects students' ability to solve more complex problems. The low ability of students to think critically is reflected in the weak ability of students to rebuild a concept, provide practical examples, and apply a concept to solve problems. This study aims to prove the positive influence of students' critical thinking skills on affective learning outcomes. The research design used in this study is a causality research design. As part of quantitative research, data are obtained through random sampling. The sample taken must be completely representative because the conclusions drawn from the sample will apply to the population. Therefore, this study used a sample of 50 students. Through field tests, it was concluded that critical thinking skills can affect students' affective learning outcomes by 43,8%. The learning outcomes are illustrated by the participants the more understanding, the more sensitive, the better, and the more professional they are in doing something, as a result of learning in the affective realm.
