Warta Pariwisata is a journal that accepts various articles related to tourism. The aim of this journal is to raise awareness, consideration and analysis of issues in the tourism field, and also promotes the exchange of ideas related to tourism development. This journal is aimed primarily at various people who are concerned with tourism and tourism-related issues in Indonesia, for example: * Those involved in planning, policy-making and consulting positions on tourism field; * Those involved in tourism and tourism-related activities; * Those involved in education and research on tourism or tourism-related issues.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and formulate development strategies for the Lake Toba Region as a super priority destination in supporting national economic development and equitable distribution of development. The Lake Toba area is a National Strategic Area (KSN) and a National Tourism Destination. The vision and mission of the Lake Toba Region are sustainable development, preservation of diversity, integrated development between districts, increased attractiveness, and sustainable tourism development. The Integrated Tourism Master Plan (ITMP) and the Integrated and Sustainable Tourism Development Program (P3TB) support tourism development in the Lake Toba Region. This research will formulate a comprehensive planning strategy for the Lake Toba Region by considering the territorial integrity and infrastructure supporting tourism. Infrastructure development, including the Tebing Tinggi-Serbelawan toll road, will support the development of the Lake Toba area. This research will contribute to the development of the Lake Toba Region as Indonesia's leading tourism destination.

Abstract

Ciburial Village is one of the tourist villages in Bandung Regency, with several tourist attractions such as the Juanda Forest Park, the Keraton Cliff, Dutch Cave, Japanese Cave, and cafes scattered throughout the Ciburial Village area. The mushrooming of these cafes is due to the strategic location of Ciburial Village and high demand, this has resulted in the conversion of agricultural land into commercial buildings. The land function change has an impact on the lives of the people of Ciburial Village. This study aims to identify the factors that influence the impact of tourism and analyze the impact of tourism on socio-cultural and economic aspects of the life of the people of Ciburial Village. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection is done by means of observation, interviews, and secondary data from the internet or related agencies. The analysis in this study uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions.

Abstract

Ecotourism is a sustainable tourism activity that utilizes nature and displays environmentally friendly tourist attractions. Ecotourism has several parameters for managing tourist attractions. These parameters include travel to the location, minimizing negative impacts, appreciation of local culture, economic impact on society, environmental awareness, economic benefits through conservation and freedom of management. This research aims to analyze the application of the ecotourism concept. A qualitative descriptive use to investigate the Patihan tourist village. The informants in this research were the Patihan tourist village manager, the surrounding community and tourists. The Miles Huberman method to analyze the data. The research results show that the ecotourism concept has yet to be fully implemented by tourism village managers. Instruments providing an economic impact on society, environmental concerns, and economic benefits through conservation have not been fully implemented. Attention to developing tourist villages through ecotourism needs to create sustainable tourism.

Abstract

Destinasi pariwisata memerlukan daya tarik yang menjadi poin utama yang akan dijual pada industri pariwisata. Pariwisata berbasis gastronomi menjadi salah satu yang menarik saat ini. Dalam rangka pengembangan suatu destinasi pariwisata, maka dibutuhkan strategi yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat dan mengidentifikasi strategi yang cocok untuk diterapkan dalam memulai pengembangan destinasi wisata berbasis gastronomi di Pulau Bangka yang memiliki berbagai potensi dan kekuatan sebagai destinasi pariwisata gastronomi. Sehingga nantinya dengan strategi yang disesuaikan dengan target tersebut dapat dilakukan pengembangan secara bertahap di Pulau Bangka untuk membantu meningkatkan perekonomian melalui pendapatan daerah serta branding terhadap Pulau Bangka.

Abstract

Festival merupakan sebuah kegiatan yang diselenggarakan guna menggunakan massa dalam jumlah besar. Salah satu festival yang memilki cluster peminat terbanyak adalah peminat dari festival kuliner. Festival kuliner biasanya dapat berdiri sendiri maupun digabungkan dengan festival lainnya dalam satu lokasi yang sama. Kolaborasi dengan kelompok masyarakat juga berperan penting dalam berjalannya sebuah festival yang mengundang massa dalam skala besar. Festival kuliner berpotensi mengundang wisatawan dari wilayah sekitar maupun luar kota sehingga datang dan menikmati festival yang diadakan. Para wisatawan yang berkunjung secara tidak langsung memerhatikan komponen 3A pada saat pelaksanaan sebuah kegiatan yang diselenggarakan. Hasil ini menjadi dasar penilaian bagi para wisatawan dalam menentukan keputusan untuk datang mengunjungi sebuah festival ataupun tidak serta bersama siapa mereka datang.

Abstract

Business tourism events or better known as MICE events/activities (Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition) show significant development in Indonesia. Organizing various MICE events and other events on an international scale is able to attract quality international MICE tourists (quality tourists) who spend many times more than ordinary tourists (leisure tourists). This of course has a significant economic impact on destinations organizing international business tourism/MICE events. One of the aspects that drives the success of organizing MICE events on an international scale is the provision of immigration facilities that can simplify immigration procedures for foreign tourists who will attend international events. This immigration facility is provided by Indonesia and other countries to increase the number of international events held, such as providing visa on arrival facilities, single entry visas, temporary visit visas and other forms of ease of procedures. This research will focus on identifying the convenience of immigration facilities and procedures provided by the Indonesian state for foreign tourists who will attend international MICE events. The method used in this research is desk research and case study of international event management. The output of this research is a comprehensive description of the forms of immigration facilities and procedures provided by the Indonesian Government to foreign MICE tourists.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine millennial tourist behaviour regarding the decision to doing staycation in hotel during the Covid-19 pandemic. Study Design: This research in the study was descriptive using a quantitative method. Methodology: The study population was consumer or millennial tourist who have stayed in hotels and accommodation around Bandung City. The researchers determined a sample size of 235 respondents. The data collection was performed using a questionnaire consist of multiple choice by selecting a Likert scale. The data processed using SPSS 25. Result: From the profile of 300 respondents of millennial tourist with range 20 – 39 y.o who have stayed in hotel accommodation during the Covid-19 pandemic most of female tourist by 69.4%. Millennial tourist dominated with jobs as a new employees that explain a monthly expenditure budget that can belong to the lower middle class, this group has a good interest in staying at Budget Hotel. Conclusion: From this study we can concluded that the characteristics of millennial tourist choose staycation during Covid-19 pandemic because they need as relaxation. Millennial tourist considered stay at hotel accommodation that have implemented health protocol policies to maintain tourist safety as CHSE Certification.

Abstract

The general objective of this research was to analyze the potential of Bonjeruk Tourism Village as a wellness tourism destination based on tourism destination components and wellness tourism criteria. This study is a qualitative descriptive research. Data collection was done through literature review, observation and interviews. The results showed that Bonjeruk Tourism Village has tourism destination components in the form of attractions, amenities, accessibility, and ancillary services that are complete and in good condition. Bonjeruk Tourism Village also fulfills the criteria of wellness tourism, where tourists visiting Bonjeruk Tourism Village gain physical, mental, environmental and spiritual experiences. However, Bonjeruk's tourism potential is still in need of more focused development.

Abstract

Meskipun perhatian masyarakat dan akademisi terhadap geopark sedang meningkat, masih belum banyak penelitian yang mengkaji transformasi fasilitas pariwisata pasca menjadi global geopark. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada literatur geopark dengan melihat transformasi fasilitas yang mencakup akomodasi, transportasi, dan fasilitas lainnya di kawasan Kaldera Toba yang ditetapkan menjadi UNESCO Global Geopark pada 7 Juli 2020. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara perwakilan Badan Pengelola Geopark Kaldera Toba, pemeriksaan catatan, laporan, foto, dan dokumen pendukung melalui studi pustaka. Kaldera Toba terus dikembangkan dari berbagai aspek untuk menarik kunjungan wisatawan, salah satunya dengan peningkatan kuantitas dan kualitas fasilitas wisata. Aktivitas wisata di Geopark Kaldera Toba semakin berkembang, didukung oleh fasilitas seperti akomodasi Bobocabin dan peralatan untuk penelusuran gua di destinasi Seribu Goa Banuarea, pagar pengaman di Geosite Huta Ginjang, infrastruktur jalan, dan fasilitas umum lainnya. Namun masih terdapat kebutuhan akan fasilitas pendukung tambahan di beberapa geosite.

Abstract

Informasi wisata yang menarik dapat diperoleh dari berbagai sumber, salah satunya dari media sosial. Data bulan Januari 2024, terdapat 185,3 juta pengguna internet dan didominasi 139 juta pengguna media sosial di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dan menggunakan pendekatan mix method untuk mengetahui dampak media sosial terhadap perilaku perjalanan wisata mahasiswa rantau di Kota Bandung. Penyebaran kuesioner dilakukan kepada 50 responden. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode open coding dan menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial memiliki dampak positif dan digunakan dalam proses pencarian informasi untuk penentuan tujuan wisata, mengatur dan merencanakan perjalanan, hingga kebiasaan mahasiswa membagikan pengalamannya serta memberi ulasan terhadap destinasi wisata. Platform media sosial yang paling banyak digunakan mahasiswa rantau di Kota Bandung dalam perjalanan wisata yaitu Instagram 48%, Tiktok 22%, Youtube 20%, Twitter 4%, dan Media sosial lain 6%.
