Abstract

This research investigates the relationships between financial literacy, budgeting practices, financial behavior, and money management skills among individuals at BCA KCU Bandung. Using quantitative methods and path analysis, the study examines direct and indirect effects to uncover how these variables interact. The findings highlight significant direct relationships, such as the impact of effective budgeting on financial behavior and money management skills. Indirectly, financial literacy and budgeting practices contribute to improved money management skills through fostering responsible financial behaviors. These insights underscore the importance of promoting financial education and practical budgeting strategies to empower individuals in making informed financial decisions and enhancing their financial well-being. This study contributes to the field by offering actionable insights for financial education initiatives aimed at fostering financial stability and competence among diverse populations.

Abstract

In an era of advancing technology, air transportation has become the preferred mode of transport due to its efficiency. As air transportation continues to develop, issues related to aviation safety and security have become crucial in the aviation industry. Hence this study have a several objectives: (i). To analyse the impact of implementing the SSR towards security aspects; (ii). To analyse the impact of implementing SSR for economy; and (iii). Describing the rate of violation before and after the implementation. This study using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on Web of Science (WOS) databased with several criteria. This study finds that technology is an important aspect for enhancing the security, however in the economics perspectives profitability of the airlines affect managerial decisions that might be influence the service quality. The security aspect is also affecting the competitiveness among airlines. The other findings are human capital are the most important aspect to support the security aspect.

Abstract

This study aims to estimate the effect of profitability, leverage, and operating costs on corporate income tax payable in construction companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2014 - 2023. This research uses a quantitative approach method. Based on the purposive sampling method, researchers obtained 4 sample companies of construction companies with a total observation data of 40 data. The data analysis technique used in this research is panel data regression analysis with the help of Eviews9. The results of this study indicate that partial profitability and operating costs have a positive effect on corporate income tax, while leverage has a negative effect on corporate income tax.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of blockchain technology on security, efficiency, and transparency in talent management processes at PT Pertamina Gas - Head Office. Using a quantitative approach and structural equation modeling, data was collected from a random sample of 80 employees. The results reveal significant direct effects of blockchain implementation on data verification efficiency and transparency in talent management. Additionally, data verification efficiency was found to significantly influence transparency in talent management. However, the study did not find a significant direct effect of security measures on transparency when mediated by data verification efficiency. These findings underscore the importance of adopting innovative technologies such as blockchain to optimize HR processes and promote transparency in talent management. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on blockchain technology in HR and provides valuable insights for organizations seeking to enhance their talent management practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between product diversity, brand image, lifestyle, and promotion with consumer purchase interest at Salon Sans Wellness Jodoh Batam, both individually and collectively. The population of this research consists of all consumers of Salon Sans Wellness Jodoh Batam, totaling 400 in January. A sample of 80 respondents was selected using the accidental sampling technique. The results indicate a significant positive influence of product diversity, brand image, lifestyle, and promotion on consumer purchase interest. Based on multiple regression analysis, brand image is found to be the most influential factor on consumer purchase interest. Additionally, the research instruments met the validity and reliability requirements. These findings highlight the importance of brand image in shaping consumer purchase interest.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between integrity, workload, and work ethic on employee performance in the Division of Procurement, Termination, Information, and Facilitation at the Batam Regional Civil Service Agency (BKPSDM), both individually and collectively. The population of this study consisted of all 32 employees in the aforementioned division, with no classification based on employee rank or status, as all employees were treated equally. The results indicate a significant positive influence of integrity, workload, and work ethic on employee performance. Improved integrity, higher workloads, and stronger work ethic among employees contribute to enhanced employee performance. The relationship between these variables is expressed through a multiple regression model, demonstrating how these factors collectively and individually impact performance. Validity and reliability tests confirmed that all instruments met the necessary criteria. Among the variables, work ethic had the most significant influence, suggesting it as the primary factor affecting employee performance.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of decentralization in Lingga, Indonesia, focusing on the performance of the local government (Pemda) and its impacts on community engagement and public service delivery. Utilizing a qualitative case study approach, the research reveals both significant successes and ongoing challenges associated with decentralization. While increased local autonomy has fostered greater community participation and responsiveness to local needs, persistent issues such as financial dependency, bureaucratic inefficiencies, and geographic isolation hinder effective governance. The findings highlight disparities in public service access, particularly for marginalized communities in remote areas. The study contributes to the broader discourse on decentralization by emphasizing the need for context-specific policies that address local realities. Based on these insights, several policy recommendations are proposed, including enhanced financial support for local governments, capacity-building initiatives for local officials, and the development of inclusive governance mechanisms. These measures aim to strengthen the implementation of decentralization in Lingga, ensuring that it delivers equitable and effective governance outcomes for all residents.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of women's empowerment on their participation in governance, examining the multifaceted barriers that hinder political engagement. Through qualitative methods, including case studies and focus group discussions, the research captures the experiences of women who have navigated these challenges. The findings reveal that cultural norms, economic limitations, and institutional inadequacies significantly affect women's political involvement. Empowerment initiatives, such as educational programs and supportive networks, were found to enhance women's confidence and motivation to participate in governance. The study emphasizes the need for targeted public policies, including gender quotas and mentorship programs, to create an inclusive political environment. Ultimately, the research highlights that fostering women's empowerment is crucial for ensuring diverse representation and improving the effectiveness of governance, contributing to more equitable decision-making processes in society.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of information technology on the effectiveness of government services in Lingga Regency, focusing on the role of technological infrastructure, information technology usage, and government policy support. A quantitative approach was employed, using total sampling with 30 employees from the North Lingga District Office as respondents. Data were analyzed using Smart PLS to test the relationships between variables. The results show that both the quality of technological infrastructure and the use of information technology have a significant positive effect on the effectiveness of government services. Furthermore, government policy support was found to moderate the relationship between infrastructure quality and service effectiveness, enhancing the impact of infrastructure investments on public service delivery. However, the moderating effect of policy support on the use of IT was weaker, indicating that IT can directly improve service effectiveness without extensive policy intervention. These findings highlight the importance of investing in both infrastructure and IT, while also developing supportive policies to sustain long-term improvements in government services. This research provides practical insights for policymakers and government officials in optimizing public administration through strategic technology integration.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain information regarding the relationship between independent variables, namely; Transformational leadership (X1), organizational culture (X2), work motivation (X3), and Competency (X4) with the dependent variable being the work productivity of the Principal of the State Elementary School (Y) Primary School Development Sector of the Batam City Education Service, both individually and collectively. The population of this study was all employees of the Head of SDN for Primary School Development at the Batam City Education Department, totaling 145 people. In this study, there was no classification of differences between State Primary School Principals based on type or class status, both types of State Primary School Principals had the same treatment. Samples were taken using simple random sampling techniques. By using the Slovin formula, a sample of 59 people was obtained. The research results show a significant positive influence of transformational leadership (X1), organizational culture (X2), work motivation (X3), and Competency (X4) on the work productivity of State Elementary School Principals (Y) as indicated by the F valuecount amounting to 30,627. This value is much smaller than the F valuecount at the alpha significance level of 0.05, namely 2.95, or F = 30.627 < F0,05(4:57) = 2.54. The relationship pattern of the four variables is expressed by the multiple regression equation = -9,643 + 0,357X1 + 0,328X2 + 0,167X3 + 0.597X4. This means that the better the transformational leadership of the Principal of the State Primary School, the better the organizational culture in which the Principal of the State Primary School works, the higher the work motivation of the Principal of the State Primary School, and the higher the competency received by the Principal of the State Primary School, the higher the work productivity will be. Principal of the State Elementary School. Previously, based on validity and reliability tests, all instruments met the validity and reliability requirements. If calculated per variable, the variable that has the most influence is the organizational culture variable, which has a coefficient of determination of 54.1%. This means that organizational culture is the factor that most influences the work productivity of State Elementary School Principals.
