Abstract

The purpose of this Community Partnership Service (PKM) program is to provide the residents of Mela II Village with an understanding of the key aspects of a business feasibility study that should be considered before starting a business. This training also aims to increase the community's income through beach tourism businesses, so that the tourism sector in Mela II Village, Central Tapanuli Regency, can develop like other beaches in the area. The implementation of the training consists of 3 stages: (1) Training Preparation Stage, (2) Training Implementation Stage, (3) Final Evaluation Stage. The PKM community service partner is the people of Mela II Village, Tapian Nauli District, Central Tapanuli Regency. The main issue of the partner is how to convey to the community that Mela II Village also has the potential to develop like other areas, as long as the entire community has the intention and purpose to grow. In addition, the people of Mela II Village, Tapian Nauli District, Central Tapanuli Regency, are expected to further understand business opportunities by utilizing regional potential with limited capital, but which can provide substantial profits. It is anticipated that this program will proceed effectively, leading to an increase in the community's knowledge.

Abstract

Community service plays a vital role in empowering communities and driving economic development, especially in technology and business. In the electrical equipment industry, international cooperation is key to enhancing global competitiveness through the exchange of technology and business information. This activity, held in September 2024 in collaboration with partners in Wenzhou, China, aimed to introduce advanced technologies and business practices to Indonesia’s electrical equipment sector. The program included technical training, discussions, and technology demonstrations, focusing on business management, marketing, and supply chain skills. It also sought to strengthen ties between Indonesian industry players and their counterparts in China. Participants gained valuable knowledge on cutting-edge technologies, expanded their international business networks, and improved their competitiveness in global markets. The positive impact of this initiative is expected to significantly contribute to the growth of Indonesia’s electrical equipment industry. It is recommended to continue expanding international cooperation and offering ongoing training to further enhance industry competitiveness.

Abstract

Seminar "Accounting is Fun" merupakan kegiatan edukatif yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman peserta mengenai prospek jurusan akuntansi serta berbagai profesi yang dapat dijalani oleh lulusannya. Jurusan akuntansi menjadi salah satu bidang studi yang banyak diminati karena memiliki prospek kerja yang luas serta peran yang sangat penting dalam berbagai industri. Lulusan akuntansi dibutuhkan oleh perusahaan lokal, nasional, hingga internasional, serta lembaga pemerintahan yang memerlukan tenaga profesional dalam bidang keuangan dan akuntansi. Seminar ini menguraikan berbagai profesi yang dapat dijalani oleh lulusan akuntansi, di antaranya Akuntan Publik, Auditor Internal, Konsultan Pajak, Akuntan Pemerintah, Akuntan Pendidik, dan Akuntan Manajemen. Akuntan Publik adalah profesi yang memiliki izin resmi dari Menteri Keuangan untuk memberikan jasa akuntansi publik di Indonesia, termasuk audit, penyusunan laporan keuangan, serta konsultasi perpajakan. Auditor Internal merupakan seorang akuntan yang bekerja secara langsung di dalam suatu perusahaan untuk mengawasi dan memastikan kepatuhan terhadap standar akuntansi serta efisiensi operasional. Konsultan Pajak berperan dalam memberikan jasa konsultasi terkait perpajakan kepada wajib pajak agar dapat memenuhi kewajibannya sesuai dengan peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku. Selain itu, Akuntan Pemerintah memiliki peran penting dalam mengelola serta melaporkan keuangan di sektor publik, termasuk pemerintah pusat dan daerah. Profesi Akuntan Pendidik bertanggung jawab dalam bidang pendidikan akuntansi, melakukan penelitian, serta menyusun kurikulum pendidikan akuntansi di perguruan tinggi. Akuntan Manajemen berperan dalam membantu pengambilan keputusan strategis perusahaan dengan menyediakan informasi akuntansi yang mendukung perencanaan dan pengendalian operasional. Dengan adanya seminar ini, peserta diharapkan memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif mengenai prospek karir dalam bidang akuntansi serta pentingnya peran akuntansi dalam dunia bisnis dan pemerintahan. Pemaparan mengenai berbagai profesi dalam bidang akuntansi diharapkan dapat membantu peserta dalam menentukan jalur karir yang sesuai dengan minat dan keahlian masing-masing. Selain itu, seminar ini juga menegaskan bahwa akuntansi bukan hanya tentang angka, tetapi juga tentang analisis, strategi, serta pengambilan keputusan yang berkontribusi terhadap pertumbuhan dan keberlanjutan sebuah organisasi.

Abstract

In the era of Society 5.0, Generation Z is faced with new challenges in financial literacy and career management. This research aims to develop a digital ecosystem based on Blockchain technology and NFC (Near Field Communication) as a solution to enhance financial literacy and career management for Generation Z. Through specially designed training, participants will gain a better understanding of digital financial concepts and how to leverage technology for career development. The outcomes of this training are expected to have a positive impact on participants' abilities to manage their finances and plan their careers in the future.

Abstract

Power quality issues are a critical concern in industrial environments, including automotive workshops and light manufacturing sectors. Disturbances such as voltage sags, harmonics, and low power factor can directly impact machine performance, energy efficiency, and the lifespan of electrical equipment. This outreach program aims to enhance the understanding of workshop operators and technicians regarding the importance of power quality improvement and to introduce practical, cost-effective solutions. The activity was conducted through interactive presentations, group discussions, and demonstrations of power quality improvement tools such as capacitor banks, automatic voltage regulators (AVR), and harmonic filters. Participants included workshop owners, technicians, and electrical maintenance staff from small and medium industries. Evaluation was carried out using pre-tests and post-tests to measure the improvement in participants' comprehension of the topics delivered. The results show a significant increase in participants’ understanding, with post-test scores improving by an average of 35% compared to pre-test scores. Participants also expressed strong interest in applying energy efficiency solutions and maintaining electrical systems. This activity is expected to encourage workshop operators to implement basic power quality management practices, leading to better energy efficiency, improved operational safety, and longer equipment lifespan. Abstract

In this era of globalization, international collaboration in higher education has become a key factor in improving academic quality, research, and technological development. Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), as an institution that focuses on technical and vocational education, utilizes the philosophy encapsulated in its tagline: "Knowledge, Sincerity, Excellence" to strengthen its international position. This article aims to explore how UniMAP utilizes this tagline as a strategy to strengthen international collaboration and improve global performance. Through the implementation of strategies based on knowledge, sincerity, and excellence, UniMAP has not only improved the quality of education and research but also built sustainable international partnerships. Significant achievements are evident in its international rankings, collaborative research networks, and high graduate success rates. Despite challenges such as geographical limitations, cultural differences, and university competition, UniMAP has successfully overcome these obstacles by encouraging cross-cultural communication and building similar partnerships. The results of this study indicate that the values ​​embedded in UniMAP's tagline play a significant role in strengthening the university's international position and driving sustainable improvements in global performance. Abstract

Education on the role of halal certification of products is very important in order to open horizons for food culinary businesses and the tourism sector so that with halal certification they are ready to compete and gain a larger market share. The implementation of this community service activity was carried out on food culinary business actors assisted by the Persati Beken Community at SMP Negeri 3 Medan. The method used by the service team is the method of education and socialization of the halal product assurance system. The results of this community service are that all participants / food culinary business actors respond positively to halal certification education activities and participants want this activity to be carried out in continuity so that they are assisted in obtaining halal certification for the products of food culinary business actors assisted by the Persati Beken Medan Community

Abstract

One of the problems often faced in several educational institutions today is the lack of information related to scientific databases, resulting in a lack of interest in high school students in studying this field. We all know that currently Information and Communication Technology (ICT) continues to develop rapidly, both devices or machines and so on. So in the future there is the potential for the world to be flooded with latent data problems. Thus, of course, human resources are needed who have special knowledge in the desired field. One way is to prepare the current young generation to play an active role and contribute in this matter. Therefore, training solutions are needed to trigger and strengthen understanding of basic database concepts that are applied and adopt the Merdeka Belajar curriculum in class X SMA Negeri 2 Binjai so that they can overcome difficulties in understanding basic concepts, using database software and understanding data models and writing questions.

Abstract

Community capacity building is a strategic element in creating superior human resources (HR) that are competitive in the global era. This article discusses the approach to strengthening community capacity through lecture methods, socialization, and cleaning activities in the Al-Qur'an Memorizer Village, Mekar Jaya Village, Sei Bingei District, Langkat Regency. The results of the activities show an increase in understanding, active community participation, and the growth of collective awareness in village development based on religious values. This activity strengthens the foundation of the character of religious, productive, and environmentally aware HR.

Abstract

Adolescents are residents in the age range of 10-19 years, according to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 25 of 2014, adolescents are residents in the age range of 10-18 years and according to the Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) the age range of adolescents is 10-24 years old and unmarried. The purpose of this activity is to improve the quality of the reproductive health conscious generation. Increasing their knowledge and skills, students can actively and independently maintain their reproductive health and become a generation that is aware of reproductive health. This community service activity uses the lecture and discussion method. The planning and preparation of this activity includes identifying respondents, preparing counseling materials and equipment, then the implementer identifies things that will be conveyed during counseling to teenagers. Counseling activities were carried out. The activity was attended The implementation of these activities included counseling activities on adolescent reproductive health, followed by a question-and-answer discussion with counseling participants and ended with an evaluation. The results of the evaluation after counseling showed that 85% of adolescents knew the definition of adolescents, 90% of adolescents knew the differences in adolescent physical changes, and 88% of adolescents knew the differences in adolescents' psychological changes.
