Abstract

The Directorate General of Water Resources of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (2014) stated that the problem of scarcity and unequal access to clean water in Indonesia is caused by increasing water demand, such as population growth, increased agricultural, industrial, mining, hotel activities, and the expansion of residential areas [1]. The clean water crisis and scarcity are also occurring in Tanjungbalai City. The President Director of PDAM Tirta Kualo invited the Director of UNESCO Asia Pacific, Prof. Shahbaz Khan, to conduct research on the crisis and poor water quality in Tanjungbalai City. One area of Tanjungbalai City that is urgently affected by the scarcity and unequal access to clean water is the community of housewives in Perumnas Sijambi, Tanjungbalai City. The Perumnas Sijambi housewives social group became partners in this community service activity. These partners are customers of PDAM Tirta Kualo, whose service utilizes drilled well water as a source of clean water, although the water quality is not suitable for drinking. The main problems that are obstacles to the business of the Sijambi Housewives Group partners in Tanjung Balai City are 1) Production Aspects, because the income level of partners is still very low and the local PDAM has not fulfilled the provision of clean water to customers, resulting in the quality of water production; 2) Social Aspects of the Community, the Health Condition of the partners' drilled well water is in an unhealthy condition and is not suitable for drinking. The solution provided by the community service team to overcome the business obstacles mentioned above by designing and making a PILOT PROJECT of Appropriate Technology Tools (TTG) "SMART WELL WATER FILTER in the form of a DRILLED WELL WATER FILTER with a Green Building Concept, namely combining a Water Purification System from Natural Materials with a Paludarium that has Business Value. The tutorial on using the TTG Smart Well Water Filter Tool was carried out by the community service team to partners through several stages, namely: a) Coordination in the Preparation of Educational Socialization Activities in PKM Implementation Activities and Designing/Making the TTG Tool Pilot Project and Mentoring the TTG Smart Well Water Filter Tool Installation Workshop to Partners; b) Carrying out the activity "Mentoring the Installation Workshop for the Utilization of Appropriate Technology Smart Well Water Filter Tools in the Perumnas Sijambi Area, Tanjungbalai City"; c) Carrying out the activity "Socialization and Education on the Utilization of Appropriate Technology Through Smart Well Water Filters in the Perumnas Sijambi Area, Tanjungbalai City"; Sijambi Region, Tanjungbalai City"; d) Carrying out the Inauguration of the Smart Water Filter Appropriate Technology Tool for Borehole Wells, which was Inaugurated by the Head of Perumnas Sijambi with Partners and Local Community Members; e) Carrying out the activity of "Workshop and Education and Mentoring of Business Strategy for Housewives of Perumnas Sijambi in Marketing the Smart Water Filter Appropriate Technology Tool for Borehole Wells"; f) Carrying out the activity of "Workshop and Education and Mentoring Tutorial on Using the Smart Water Filter Tool for Borehole Wells to Get Healthy Water According to Permenkes No. 23 of 2023". The impact of the TTG Smart Water Filter Tool for partners is estimated to increase in: 1) Increasing the level of partner empowerment: Production Aspect (Increased Income) as evidenced by the increase in the quality of the partner's well water production to be healthy and drinkable will create business opportunities to increase the partner's household income by 5% with the existence of this appropriate technology tool that can be marketed/sold to the wider community; 2) Increasing the level of partner empowerment: Social Aspects (Health Improvement) as proven by the TTG Smart Well Water Filter Tool being able to improve the health quality of partner's well water. Based on laboratory tests after using the Smart Well Water Filter, iron levels returned to normal and the water was odorless and no longer brownish in color, in accordance with the standards of PERMENKES No. 2 of 2023 concerning drinking water quality requirements, namely with a Ph of 6.8.

Abstract

This study discusses the process of amending Sidoarjo Regency Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 8 of 2021 into Perda No. 1 of 2025 concerning BPR Delta Artha. The main issues addressed are the urgency of regulatory adjustment in accordance with the Law on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (UUP2SK) and the need to enhance the competitiveness of BPR Delta Artha as a regional bank. This research employs a narrative qualitative approach to provide an in-depth depiction of the dynamics, experiences, and processes involved in the amendment of the regulation through document studies, interviews, and public policy analysis based on William N. Dunn’s framework, which includes problem identification, impact forecasting, recommendations, and policy evaluation. The results indicate that the amendment process was carried out quickly and in a structured manner without the formation of a Special Committee, driven by community needs and instructions from the Ministry of Home Affairs. The main implications of this change are the expansion of BPR’s functions, the change in nomenclature to Bank Perekonomian Rakyat (People’s Economy Bank), and the improvement of financial access and support for MSMEs in Sidoarjo.

Abstract

The transformation of the agricultural sector toward the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has become a strategic necessity in addressing challenges related to increasing food demand, limited resources, and climate change. However, the adoption of modern agricultural technologies among farmers remains relatively low due to limited knowledge, skills, and access to technology. This community service program aims to enhance the capacity and productivity of farmer groups through assistance in implementing agricultural technology innovations based on Industry 4.0. The implementation methods include socialization of smart farming concepts, training on the use of Internet of Things (IoT)-based technologies for monitoring land and crop conditions, and hands-on assistance in applying the system directly in partner farming areas. Program evaluation was conducted by measuring improvements in farmers’ understanding, technology adoption rates, and comparisons of crop yields before and after technology implementation. The results indicate an increase in farmers’ knowledge and skills in utilizing agricultural technology, as well as improvements in land management efficiency and food production. Therefore, assistance in implementing Industry 4.0-based agricultural technology innovations serves as a strategic solution to support increased food production and sustainable farmer independence.

Abstract

The rapid growth in the use of e-money applications in society has provided convenience in conducting cashless transactions; however, it has also increased the risk of cybercrime, such as data theft, account hijacking, and digital identity misuse. Low levels of digital security literacy remain one of the main factors causing users to inadequately implement independent account protection measures. This community service activity aims to strengthen the digital security literacy of e-money users through the implementation of a two-factor authentication (2FA) system as an effort to enhance the security of digital transactions. The methods employed include digital security awareness sessions, training on the use of two-factor authentication in e-money applications, and direct assistance to participants during the activation and utilization of security features. The activity was conducted among groups of e-money users using a participatory approach. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding of digital security risks as well as an increased ability to activate and utilize two-factor authentication systems in e-money applications. Furthermore, participants demonstrated more cautious and responsible behavior in maintaining the security of their digital accounts. This activity is expected to contribute to building public awareness and resilience against cybercrime threats and to support the development of a secure and sustainable digital transaction ecosystem.

Abstract

Land rights are part of human rights guaranteed by the constitution as stipulated in Article 28H paragraph (4) of the 1945 Constitution. However, practice in the field shows that many people still face land disputes due to weak administration and a lack of legal understanding. In the Lumpue sub-district of Pare-Pare city, there were overlapping claims of land ownership and transfers of land rights under the table without involving a notary. This community service activity was aimed at providing legal education in the form of interactive and participatory discussions on the theme of Land Rights as Human Rights: Mitigating Land Disputes. The activity was carried out in three stages: a pretest, legal counseling, and a post-test. The counseling and discussion activities were held at the Lumpue Village Office in Pare-Pare City and were attended by community members, village office officials, and resource persons from the Pare-Pare City Land Office as well as academics with expertise in land law. The land issues faced by the community are diverse, such as transfer of rights without going through a PPAT (Land Deed Official), lack of land title certificates, boundary disputes, land measurement, land use taxes, and land use in coastal areas. This program successfully built legal awareness and strengthened the community's capacity to avoid land disputes and conflicts. The handling of disputes through the district/city land office needs to synergize with the local government, especially at the village and sub-district levels, so that the resolution of disputes experienced by the community can be optimized
