Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of waste management innovations through the provision of specific trash bins and sorting practices in Nagrog Village, as an effort to mitigate the high volume of waste and low public awareness. The primary motivation for this study was to create a healthy and clean environment without relying on composting, while still increasing community participation in waste management. The methodology involved field observations, interviews with residents and village leaders, and the collection of quantitative data related to the volume and frequency of waste collection. The intervention focused on establishing separate trash bins (organic, inorganic, and residual) at strategic points in the village and educating the community about individual waste sorting. This practice aligns with similar models in other villages, such as Tenjolayar and Latsari, which focus on sorting with specific bins. The results showed significant improvement, as points that were usually filled with trash have now begun to decrease. This improvement indicates that the provision of special bins and intensive education can significantly improve environmental cleanliness, even without further waste processing. The researchers concluded that this simple model is effective for villages with limited resources. Sustainable success depends on consistent education, local government support for collection facilities, and the possibility of developing further schemes for organic and inorganic waste in the future.

Abstract

The objective of this community service activity is to enhance the information technology literacy of teachers and students at MTs Nurul Huda Situbondo through machine learning-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) training, with a focus on Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) implementation. The training program has been meticulously designed to introduce the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence and its practical applications in various domains, with a particular emphasis on its impact on education and agriculture. The training method utilizes a hands-on approach through open-source AI applications, such as Google Teachable Machine. The participants were trained to construct rudimentary artificial intelligence (AI) models that were capable of performing face recognition, fruit quality classification, leaf disease identification, and plant species classification. The findings of this initiative have demonstrated a substantial enhancement in the information technology literacy dimension of the participants, as evidenced by an augmentation in conceptual comprehension, proficiency in utilizing AI technology, and a favorable disposition towards the integration of technology in educational pursuits. A significant outcome of this endeavor is the development of an AI model for disease classification on mango leaves. The efficacy of this training program substantiates the notion that technology-based learning methodologies can effectively cultivate 21st-century competencies, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and digital proficiency. Furthermore, it fosters the development of an innovative and adaptable learning environment within the madrasah context.

Abstract

Graphic design skills are becoming essential competencies to support visual communication in the digital era, especially within educational environments. However, many educational institutions have not yet optimized the use of visual media to effectively convey educational messages, including in school campaign activities. This article discusses the results of a community service activity in the form of a graphic design training using the Canva platform for students at MA Miftahul Ulum Besuki. The activity aimed to improve students' graphic design literacy and produce visual works such as posters and brochures that are engaging, communicative, and relevant to school-related issues. The implementation method involved hands-on practice, project-based learning, and intensive mentoring in using Canva. The results show a significant improvement in students' technical and conceptual skills in designing educational visual content. The produced materials were also utilized directly by the school for PPDB (new student enrollment) campaigns and other social promotions. This article's discussion highlights Canva as an effective, inclusive, and adaptable platform for enhancing students’ graphic design capabilities in the digital age. This activity is recommended to be replicated in other schools as a strategy for strengthening students' digital literacy and creativity.

Abstract

Desa Eureunpalay sebuah desa yang berada di Kecamatan Cibalong Kabupaten Tasikmalaya Terletak di daerah perbukitan dengan ketinggian diatas permukaan laut kurang lebih 300 m, tingkat curah hujan per tahun rata-rata 2.072 mm dengan suhu rata-rata harian 20° sampai 34° seperti daerah Jawa Barat pada umumnya. Masalah kesejahteraan sosial di desa Eureunpalay didominasi oleh masalah keluarga miskin berjumlah 478 dan ada sebanyak 82 keluarga yang rumahnya tidak layak huni angka pengangguran pun cukup tinggi yakni tercatat 1458 orang mungkin hal ini berkaitan dengan masih kurangnya lapangan pekerjaan yang ada di desa Eureunpalay. namun potensi sumber daya alam yang ada di desa eureunpalay sangat lah melimpah mulai dari produk kehutanan, produk perikanan, produk peternakan dan produk pertanian. karena keterbatasan mereka dalam pengelolaan sumber daya alam yang ada. oleh sebab itu kami pengabdi ingin menawarkan solusi berupa manajemen pengelolaan sumber daya alam yang tepat dan pemasaran digital yang tepat.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in driving economic growth and creating employment opportunities at the local level. However, many MSMEs still face various challenges, particularly in branding and packaging, which are not optimally developed, leading to low competitiveness in an increasingly competitive market. This study aims to provide assistance in branding strategies and packaging design to MSMEs in Karyamulya Subdistrict, Cirebon, to enhance product appeal and expand market reach. The methodology used in this study consists of several stages: identifying problems through surveys and interviews with MSME actors, analyzing branding and packaging needs, and conducting intensive training and mentoring in designing more attractive packaging that aligns with product characteristics. Furthermore, an evaluation was carried out to measure the effectiveness of the assistance by assessing changes in consumer perception and the potential increase in sales after implementing improved branding and packaging strategies. The results of this assistance program indicate an increased understanding among MSME actors regarding the importance of brand identity and packaging as key factors in building customer loyalty and attracting a broader market segment. Additionally, more professional and innovative packaging designs have proven to enhance the visual appeal of products, increasing market penetration opportunities both offline and online. Implementing stronger branding strategies also helps MSMEs establish clearer differentiation amid intensifying industry competition. In conclusion, branding and packaging assistance has positively impacted MSMEs in Karyamulya Subdistrict, Cirebon, by enhancing their competitiveness in the market. It is hoped that similar programs can be replicated in other regions as a solution to support the growth and sustainability of MSMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

Papaya (Carica papaya) is a plant that is widely found in Indonesia. Papaya flowers are rich in nutrients and have various benefits, both for health and for the culinary industry. Utilization of papaya flowers as a high-value product can be an opportunity to improve the community's economy, especially for farmers who have papaya plants but have not maximized other parts of the plant. During the training, participants were given steps in processing papaya leaves into Implementation Coordination: a) This community service is facilitated by the Jagatnata Maitreiya monastery which determines the training participants. b) The training participants were agreed to be groups of farmers and housewives in Jember. c) The training was carried out at the Jagatnata Maitreiya Jember monastery by providing materials on the benefits, efficacy of nutritional value and economic value. d) Evaluation of the implementation was carried out using direct interviews to find out feedback or expectations that had been achieved and desired by the participants.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) telah membuka peluang baru bagi peningkatan kapasitas komunikasi dan literasi digital di sektor kesehatan masyarakat. Posyandu sebagai garda terdepan pelayanan kesehatan di tingkat desa masih menghadapi tantangan dalam penyebaran informasi yang efektif, terutama akibat keterbatasan kader dalam memanfaatkan media digital. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mentransformasi kemampuan literasi digital kader Posyandu melalui pelatihan penggunaan ChatGPT sebagai media edukasi kesehatan masyarakat di Desa Jlodro, Kecamatan Kenduruan, Kabupaten Tuban. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan secara partisipatif dan aplikatif melalui lima tahapan, yaitu analisis situasi mitra, identifikasi masalah, perancangan solusi, pelatihan, serta pendampingan dan evaluasi. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 15 kader Posyandu aktif, dengan kegiatan berupa ceramah, simulasi, dan praktik langsung menggunakan smartphone. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test, post-test, dan observasi lapangan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan digital dan komunikasi kader. Persentase kader yang mampu mengakses dan mengoperasikan ChatGPT meningkat dari 20% menjadi 87%, sementara kemampuan membuat konten edukatif digital naik hingga 80%. Penerapan ChatGPT juga mempercepat proses penyusunan materi edukasi hingga 50%, serta meningkatkan keaktifan kader dalam penyuluhan.Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan ChatGPT efektif sebagai media inovatif dalam peningkatan literasi digital kader Posyandu sekaligus memperkuat peran mereka sebagai agen komunikasi kesehatan masyarakat di era digital.

Abstract

Palang Merah Remaja (PMR) Wira merupakan wadah pembinaan generasi muda dalam pengembangan jiwa kemanusiaan dan keterampilan pertolongan pertama. Namun, masih terbatasnya media aktualisasi bagi anggota PMR untuk mengukur kemampuan dan kesiapan dalam menghadapi situasi kedaruratan menjadi permasalahan yang memerlukan solusi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pertolongan pertama, kepemimpinan, kreativitas digital, dan kepedulian sosial melalui penyelenggaraan YURECA Competition II di Jawa Timur. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi kegiatan secara daring, pendaftaran peserta melalui sistem informasi, technical meeting, pelaksanaan kompetisi secara hybrid (online–offline), dan evaluasi peserta berdasarkan rubrik penilaian pada sepuluh bidang lomba PMR. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 295 peserta dan 21 pembina dari 29 sekolah di 14 kabupaten/kota. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta dalam bidang pertolongan pertama dan kesiapsiagaan bencana, meningkatnya keterampilan literasi digital melalui lomba jurnalistik, serta terbangunnya jejaring dan motivasi kemanusiaan antarpeserta. Disimpulkan bahwa model kompetisi hibrida efektif dalam meningkatkan jiwa kemanusiaan, keterampilan teknis, serta partisipasi remaja dalam aksi sosial berbasis kepalangmerahan. Keberlanjutan program direkomendasikan melalui penguatan inovasi teknologi dan integrasi pelatihan secara berkala.

Abstract

Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi digital guru melalui pelatihan pembuatan dan pengelolaan microsite sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif. Dengan latar belakang minimnya pemanfaatan teknologi dalam proses belajar-mengajar di sekolah mitra, program ini memberikan solusi berupa pelatihan teknis, pendampingan, dan penerapan microsite guna meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini juga mendukung kebijakan Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) dan Indikator Kinerja Utama (IKU) dalam peningkatan kualitas pendidikan berbasis teknologi. Luaran yang diharapkan mencakup peningkatan keterampilan guru, akses pembelajaran yang lebih fleksibel, dan publikasi ilmiah terkait. Program ini dijalankan melalui berbagai tahapan, mulai dari sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, hingga evaluasi keberlanjutan. Metode dalam analisis data menggunakan Pre Test dan Post Test dengan menggunakan software SPSS. Guru yang mengikuti pelatihan microsite ini sebanyak 30 guru di SMA Plus Putra Melati. Hasil olah data diperoleh bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan Guru dalam penggunaan microsite. Nilai pre test diperoleh rata-rata 55, sedangkan nilai post test diperoleh rata-rata 86,33. Dari nilai tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi selisih yang meningkat mencapat 31,33, hal ini bagus untuk penggunaan microsite dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought ease of access to information and communication, but on the other hand, it has also given rise to the phenomenon of scroll culture, a habit of excessively browsing social media without a clear purpose. This behavior can reduce focus on learning, increase social anxiety, and impair students' psychological well-being. This community service activity aims to empower students through a digital well-being counseling program focused on strengthening self-awareness and emotional regulation in digital media use. The implementation method included an initial digital behavior assessment, a digital well-being counseling workshop, and individual and group mentoring using emotional regulation theory. This program was conducted over three months, involving students from various study programs. The materials provided included: (1) understanding the concept of digital well-being, (2) strategies for managing emotions in digital activities, and (3) applying mindful scrolling techniques to control the duration and quality of social media interactions. The results of the activity showed increased student awareness of the importance of digital balance and a decrease in the frequency of unproductive scrolling. Furthermore, students demonstrated improved abilities in recognizing emotions, managing online time, and using social media for self-development. This activity is expected to serve as a model of good practice for higher education institutions in developing counseling services that are adaptive to digital challenges and oriented towards student mental well-being.
