Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengkaji apakah model inkuiri menggunakan LKPD berbasis diagram berpikir multidimensi berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap keterampilan proses sains terintegrasi dan hasil belajar pada siswa MTS. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MTS Nurul Ulum dengan metode purposive sampling area yang dilakasankan dengan menentukan beberapa pertimbangan. Teknik sampling jenuh digunakan untuk memilih sampel. Model pembelajaran inkuiri bantuan LKPD berbasis diagram berpikir multidimensi dipakai pada kelas eksperimen sedangkan kelas kontrol mengikuti pembelajaran dengan cara tradisional. Uji statistika yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar yaitu uji normalitas independent sample t- test serta uji t pihak kanan. Hasil   independen sampel t-test keterampilan proses sains yakni sig.(2-tailed) adalah 0,003, hasil belajar didapatkan sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,001 sehingga nilai signifikansinya > 0,05, Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Uji t pihak kanan keterampilan proses sains terintegrasi didapatkan hasil (3.224) > (1.701) sedangkan hasil belajar diperoleh (3.624) > (1.701) . Nilai t hitung > t tabel maka, keterampilan proses sains terintegrasi serta hasil belajar kelas eksperimen  lebih unggul  dibandingkan kelas kontrol, sehingga kesimpulannya model inkuiri menggunakan LKPD berbasis diagram berpikir multidimensi berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap keterampilan proses sains terintegrasi dan hasil belajar siswa MTS.

Abstract

Scientific reasoning is one of the important skills students and graduates need today. Scientific reasoning is part of high-level thinking skills and is one of the skills required in school curriculum implementation. Even though it is an important skill, research data shows that students' scientific reasoning is still unsatisfactory. The purpose of this study is to examine how junior high school students' scientific reasoning is affected when the 5E learning cycle model and multi-representation-based E-LKPD are used to execute learning. The study was carried out during the even semester of the 2022–2023 school year at SMP Negeri 2 Panti. Students in classes IX B and IX E served as the research samples, while all IX students comprised the study's population. The study used the quasi-experimental design method in conjunction with a quantitative methodology. Examinations, observations, interviews, and documentation were used to gather research data. Research data was analyzed by applying several tests, including the N-gain test, the normality test using Shapiro-Wilk, and the independent sample t-test. The research results show that implementing the 5E learning cycle model using multi-representation-based E-LKPD positively influences and impacts the scientific reasoning of students.

Abstract

Creative thinking skill menjadi suatu hal yang penting pada pembelajaran IPA  untuk menghadapi tuntutan abad ke-21. Faktanya keterampilan peserta didik dalam keterampilan berpikir kreatif masih rendah. Rendahnya creative thinking skill salah satunya disebabkan oleh perangkat pembelajaran yang digunakan belum dapat membuat siswa untuk berpikir secara kreatif. Pengembangan E-LKPD berbasis liveworksheet ini mengacu pada penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan oleh Simanjuntak (2021) yang menunjukkan bahwa siswa terlihat lebih aktif dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan sebagian sudah dapat mengungkapkan gagasan, sehingga mampu meningkatkan creative thinking skillnya. Meskipun E-LKPD berbasis liveworksheet sudah diteliti berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan creative thinking skill peserta didik, namun belum terdapat penelitian yang membahas keefektifan E-LKPD berbasis liveworksheet pada pembelajaran IPA. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan pengembangan E-LKPD menggunakan website liveworksheet. Kegiatan penelitian dilakukan di SMPN 1 Jember pada siswa kelas VII I dengan, metode yang digunakan adalah R&D yang merujuk dengan model ADDIE.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria sebagai berikut: (1) sangat valid berdasarkan uji kelayakan oleh kelompok ahli yang mendapatkan presentase rata-rata sebesar 88%; (2) Praktis, berdasarkan lembar keterlaksanaan yang disi oleh tiga observer yang mendapatkan presentase rata-rata sebesar 90%; (3) peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kreatif memperoleh nilai N-gain sebesar 0,72 dengan kriteria tinggi dan angket respon yang diperoleh sebesar 87%.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah mendampingi guru menyusun perangkat pembelajaran berbasis riset dengan pendekatan STEM dan menyusun artikel hasil penerapannya sebagai wujud guru kreatif-inovatif dalam pembelajaran. Metode yang dilakukan adalah pelatihan terkait materi, pendampingan dalam penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran dan penerapannya serta pembimbingan dalam menyusun artikel hasil penerapannya. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the results of the development of chatbot media tailored to the indicators of creative thinking skills to improve students' creative thinking skills. This research includes Research and Development which uses the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Data collection was obtained from media validation forms, implementation observations, student response questionnaires, and tests (pretest and posttest). The results of chatbot media validation from three validators were 84.48% with a valid category. The results of the practicality of chatbot media from three observers were 93.23% with a very practical category. The results of the effectiveness of chatbot media from the N-gain results were 0.72 with a high category and student responses obtained 84.09% with a very good category. Based on the results of the study, chatbot media is valid and practical to be implemented in science learning and can improve students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of this service is to provide training to teachers regarding students' environmental literacy which can be utilized in learning through RBL-STEM to improve teachers' creative skills.  The partner in this service is SMP Negeri 7 Jember. The method used is training related to material, students' environmental literacy, RBL-STEM, and the application of the school environment in learning. Abstract

Computational thinking skills are one of the supporters of the achievement of 21st century skills. Computational thinking is recognised as the third pillar of science, along with theory and experimentation. This study aims to improve students’ computational thinking skill through implementation science module integrated with Google Colaboratory. Computational thinking skills in students can be improved through learning programming. Students must be guided to connect concepts and activities from students by creating computer programming. This research uses one group pretest-posttest, then the result will be analyzed using N-gain and paired sample test. The object of this research is 36 students in junior high school level. The result of this study shows that the mean of the pre-test score is 27,25 and the mean of the post-test score being 62,36 with the N-gain score is 0,48 in the moderate category. Results of paired sample test show a Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000, which is smaller than the threshold of 0.05. This result shows that the implementation of the learning module had a significant positive effect on improving computational thinking skills.

Abstract

Scientific Reasoning is a high-level thinking ability to think scientifically, systematically, and logically in the scientific method process. The scientific reasoning of junior high school students is still low in Science learning. In fact, scientific reasoning is an essential component of the cognitive flow of 21st-century skills. This study aimed to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of scaffolding-based Science e-module in improving the scientific reasoning of junior high school students. This study was a developmental study with the ADDIE model. The subjects were 35 7-E students in SMP Negeri 7 Jember with the implementation in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, validation sheets, implementation observation sheets, tests (pretest and posttest), and questionnaires of student response. Based on the research results, the implementation of a scaffolding-based Science e-module obtained a validation value of 89.8%, which was included in the valid category and can be used in the learning process. The results of the practicality analysis obtained a value of 88%, which was included in the very practical category to be used in the learning process. The effectiveness was obtained from the results of the pretest and posttest with an N-Gain value of 0.73%, which was included in the high category, and the results of student response were 89.4%, which was included in the very good category and effective in improving scientific reasoning of the junior high school students.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pembelajaran saat ini menekankan pada keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS). Hal yang berkaitan kecakapan yang harus dilatih kepada siswa adalah berpikir kritis. Namun, keterampilan berpikir kritis masih jarang diutamakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di Indonesia. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu mengkaji dampak model Problem Based Learning melalui pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP. Jenis penelitiannya adalah quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest control group. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa di kelas eksperimen lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan siswa di kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil data uji Independent Sample T-test diperoleh nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,020 yang menunjukkan nilai signifikansi  < 0,05, sehingga H0 ditolak Ha. Berdasar hasil uji t-pihak kanan diperoleh nilai bahwa thitung > ttabel (2,400 >1,675) yang menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima bahwa rerata nilai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol memiliki perbedaan. Berdasar bahan keterangan yang didapat, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning dengan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP.Abstract:  Current learning emphasizes higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). One of the crucial skills that need to be developed in students is critical thinking. However, critical thinking skills are still rarely prioritized in the learning activities in Indonesia. The objective of this study is to examine the impact of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model through the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach on the critical thinking skills of junior high school students. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The results of the study show that the critical thinking skills of students in the experimental class are superior to those in the control class. Based on the Independent Sample T-test, the significance value (2-tailed) was 0.020, indicating a significance value < 0.05, thus rejecting H0 and accepting Ha. Based on the right-tailed t-test, the calculated t-value was greater than the t-table value (2.400 > 1.675), indicating that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning there is a difference in the average scores between the experimental class and the control class. Based on the obtained information, it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning model with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach has a significant impact on the critical thinking skills of junior high school students.

Abstract

Critical thinking is a skill needed to solve problems in the 21st century. However, the critical thinking skills of Indonesian students are still considered low, as confirmed by PISA research results. This low critical thinking ability is due to students' limited understanding of factual and conceptual information when solving problems. One learning model that can serve as an alternative to improving students' critical thinking skills is the Inquiry model with a STEM approach. In this model, students are actively engaged in learning, as the process focuses on them. Additionally, the STEM approach enhances students' critical thinking abilities because it integrates various fields of knowledge, enabling students to think from multiple perspectives and become accustomed to critical thinking. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of the Inquiry learning model with a STEM approach on students' critical thinking skills. This quantitative research was conducted at Mts 1 Jember during the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The sample included class VIII B as the experimental group and class VIII D as the control group, selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques involved tests as the primary instrument, with supporting instruments such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Independent Sample t-test, which showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. The results indicated a moderate increase in students' critical thinking skills, with a score of 0.68. From this analysis, it can be concluded that the use of the Inquiry learning model with a STEM approach has a significant positive impact on improving students' critical thinking skills.
