Abstract

This research examines the legal protection for notaries in Indonesia, particularly concerning the legal vacuum that arises in the context of the time limits on notary authority. Although notaries play a vital role as public officials who authenticate authentic deeds, existing regulations, including the Notary Position Law (UUJN), still contain gaps that threaten the integrity of this profession. This study highlights the urgency of reforming legal protection for notaries by identifying unclear provisions and providing concrete recommendations to strengthen legal protection. By analyzing the implications of legal vacuums on public trust and professional integrity, this research aims to offer effective solutions to enhance legal protection for notaries and strengthen their position within the Indonesian legal system.

Abstract

The increase in the number of motor vehicles in Indonesia has a significant impact on increasing exhaust emissions that contribute to air pollution. One way to reduce these emissions is through optimizing the combustion process by using variable spark plugs and remapping the ECU (Electronic Control Unit). This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of standard, platinum, and iridium spark plugs, as well as ECU remap at 5° and 10° ignition angles on the exhaust emissions of Vario 125 cc motorcycles. The research method used is an experiment with a pre-test and post-test research design. The test was carried out on three spark plug variations (standard, platinum and iridium) with ignition at angles of 5° and 10°. The testing process involves measuring exhaust emissions, specifically carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC), at four engine rev levels (rpm) of 1500, 2000, 2500, and 3000. The data was obtained using a gas analyzer and analyzed using mean statistics and percentage of change. The results showed that the use of platinum and iridium spark plugs significantly reduced CO and HC emissions compared to standard spark plugs. At 10° ignition with an iridium spark plug, the largest difference in CO was recorded at 2500 rpm with 23.12%, while the highest HC difference was at 2000 rpm with 37.67%. Platinum spark plugs also provide quite good results with consistent reductions in CO and HC emissions. Remap ECUs with an ignition angle of 10° have proven to be more effective in reducing exhaust emissions compared to 5° ignition.

Abstract

Legal reform of mediation in the resolution of industrial conflicts is a crucial concern given the increasing complexity of disputes between workers and employers. The mediation process, which is expected to serve as an effective and fair middle ground, often encounters obstacles due to regulatory weaknesses and the lack of understanding and trust from the parties involved. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the current legal framework for mediation and propose solutions for improvements in order to achieve more equitable conflict resolution. This study employs qualitative methods with both normative and empirical approaches. Data is collected through literature reviews, legal analysis, and interviews with relevant stakeholders such as mediators, employers, and workers. The research findings indicate that although mediation has significant potential in resolving industrial conflicts, weaknesses in implementation and regulatory oversight often render this process suboptimal. Therefore, legal reform is necessary, encompassing the enhancement of mediator capacities, the revision of regulations pertaining to the rights and obligations of the parties, and the strengthening of monitoring and evaluation mechanisms. This reform is expected to improve public trust in mediation and create fair and equitable resolutions for all parties.

Abstract

In the manufacturing and logistics industry, operational efficiency is key to increasing productivity and reducing operational costs. One technological innovation that plays an important role is the use of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) equipped with GPS-based navigation systems. This research aims to implement a GPS navigation system on AGVs using the waypoint method with a focus on improving movement accuracy and vehicle route optimisation. The waypoint method is used to determine the coordinate points of the destination that must be reached by the AGV. Tests were conducted on several movement scenarios, which included setting waypoints on the trajectory. The test results show that the developed navigation system is able to reduce distance deviation and improve the consistency of AGV movement towards predetermined waypoints. In the first test, the AGV successfully reduced the deviation from 9 metres to 3 metres, demonstrating the system's ability to gradually adjust the position. The second and third tests also showed significant deviation reduction, reinforcing the reliability of this method in varied environments. The conclusion of this research is that the integration of GPS technology with the waypoint method is effective in improving AGV performance for applications in the manufacturing and logistics industries.

Abstract

Digital banking has become a major trend in the global financial sector, offering ease of access and efficiency for customers. However, this development also brings new risks, particularly related to the loss of funds due to cyber attacks. This research analyzes the legal vacuum in the regulations protecting customers of digital banking in Indonesia, particularly as regulated by POJK No. 12/POJK.03/2021 and POJK No. 13/POJK.03/2021. Despite the existing legal framework, this study identifies the weak legal protection for customers regarding the risk of losing funds due to cyber attacks, as well as the lack of clarity regarding the bank's responsibility in such situations. By examining national and international case studies and providing recommendations for regulatory enhancement and security standards, this study aims to contribute to the ongoing efforts to protect consumers in the increasingly complex context of digital banking.

Abstract

This thesis concludes that the boundaries of tolerance in the Tafsir Tematik Moderasi Beragama Kementerian Agama RI are generally relative and tentative. The intensity of interpretation conducted by the Kementerian Agama RI is not static or monotonous; rather, it dynamically evolves in line with the changes of the times. This conclusion is based on the findings that the boundaries of tolerance in the Tafsir Tematik Moderasi Beragama by Kementerian Agama RI emphasize the preservation of Islamic aqidâh as a rahmatan lil âlamin. In ibâdah, tolerance includes the freedom to practice rituals according to each individual’s religion, but it does not permit the mixing of rituals from different religions. Lastly, in muâmalah, tolerance involves an attitude of mutual respect and appreciation for moral values while still adhering to the principles of religious morals. This thesis aligns with the views of Anis Malik Thoha (2015), Abd. Moqsith Ghazali (2009), and Ulil Abshar Abdalla (2001) that tolerance is a behavior that creates a more peaceful and harmonious environment, where individuals from various religious backgrounds can live together with mutual respect and support. Despite these similarities, this thesis differs from the perspectives of Firanda Andirja (2021), Muhammad Rifqi Fachrian (2018), and Majelis Ulama Indonesia (2005), which assert that the boundaries of tolerance are determined by the beliefs of each individual. Islam teaches respect for adherents of other religions while maintaining these boundaries to avoid recognizing the truth of other religions. This thesis employs a qualitative method and is a literature review (library research) using the maudhû’i interpretation theory framework. This method is utilized to examine the boundaries of tolerance in the Tafsir Tematik Moderasi Beragama by the Kementerian Agama RI through a thematic interpretation approach with an inclusiveism perspective.
