Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) offers pedagogical solutions to address the global learning crisis, but the literature specifically examines its application to learning personalization is limited. This study aims to examine how AI technology can personalize students' learning experiences and why AI needs to be mastered as an educational productivity tool, not avoided. The method used is a literature review with a search through Google Scholar using the combined keywords "Artificial Intelligence", "Personalized Learning", and "Literature Review", with publication inclusion criteria for 2021–2025. Of the 50 articles found, eight passed the inclusion and exclusion selection for analysis. The results of the review show that adaptive AI systems have been shown to improve learning outcomes by 14–30% compared to conventional methods through three main mechanisms: real-time content adaptation, automatic misconception detection, and targeted feedback. AI acts as a teacher's tool, not a substitute. The main implementation challenges include data privacy, algorithm bias, and teacher readiness gaps. It was concluded that AI is a productivity tool that must be gradually integrated with the support of teacher training, ethical regulations, and cross-stakeholder collaboration so that its benefits can be felt equally.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of an e-book and interactive quizzes based on Quizizz to enhance students' engagement in learning evaluation at the elementary school level. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg and Gall development model, which consists of ten stages of product development. However, this research was limited to the product development stage and theoretical evaluation through a literature review approach without conducting direct field testing. Data were collected through a literature study by reviewing various scientific sources, including books, national journals, and relevant previous research findings. The results of the review indicate that the use of digital learning media such as e-books and Quizizz has the potential to increase students' motivation, engagement, and active participation in learning evaluation activities. Therefore, the developed media are considered theoretically feasible as an innovative learning evaluation tool that aligns with the characteristics and needs of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model, which consists of four stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The define stage involved analyzing learning needs, student characteristics, tasks, and concepts. The design stage focused on developing assessment instruments, selecting appropriate formats, and designing Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based learning activities. The develop stage included expert validation, product revision, and limited trials conducted with fifth-grade students. Finally, the disseminate stage involved the limited distribution and implementation of the developed worksheets. The findings revealed that the HOTS-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) were valid, practical, and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. The developed worksheets encouraged active student participation, promoted analytical thinking, and connected learning content to real-life contexts. This study contributes to the development of innovative instructional materials that align with the demands of 21st-century learning and provides practical implications for enhancing the quality of elementary education.

Abstract

This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The analysis stage involves identifying learning needs, student characteristics, and problems encountered in mathematics learning, particularly on the topic of plane figures. The design stage focuses on planning the spinning wheel learning media, including the preparation of materials, questions, visual appearance, and media usage procedures. The development stage includes the creation of the media, product revision, and improvement based on development results. The implementation stage conceptually involves the use of the media in learning activities by engaging students actively through educational games. Finally, the evaluation stage includes theoretical assessment based on literature studies and previous research regarding the feasibility and effectiveness of the developed media. The results of the study indicate that the spinning wheel learning media on plane figures has the potential to improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes by creating a more active, interactive, and enjoyable learning atmosphere. The media helps students understand the concepts of plane figures more concretely through direct learning experiences. In addition, the use of the spinning wheel media can increase student engagement, learning motivation, and participation during the learning process. This study contributes to the development of innovative mathematics learning media that are appropriate to the characteristics of elementary school students and supports the implementation of meaningful learning.

Abstract

Education in the digital era demands learning media innovations that are not only informative but also interactive and capable of stimulating students' active engagement. At the elementary school level, the use of conventional Student Worksheets (LKPD) often faces various challenges, ranging from visual limitations and monotonous displays to students' low interest in reading and learning. The rapid development of information and communication technology has encouraged educators to transform printed LKPD into Electronic Student Worksheets (e-LKPD), which offer multimedia integration and more interactive learning experiences. This study aims to systematically review research findings related to the development of Canva-based e-LKPD in elementary schools. Specifically, this study seeks to identify the dominant development procedures, determine the validity level of Canva-based e-LKPD according to expert evaluations, and analyze its effectiveness in improving elementary school students' learning outcomes. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by examining relevant research articles published between 2020 and 2026. The findings indicate that the ADDIE and 4D models are the most frequently used development models. The validity level of Canva-based e-LKPD consistently falls within the "Very Valid" category based on evaluations from material experts, media experts, and language experts. Furthermore, Canva-based e-LKPD has proven effective in improving students' learning outcomes across various subject areas.

Abstract

Numeracy skills are fundamental competencies that constitute a primary demand in 21st-century education, particularly for elementary school students. The low level of students' ability to solve mathematical word problems remains an urgent issue that needs to be addressed through more contextual and engaging learning media innovations. This study aims to develop contextual-based digital comic media to improve the numeracy skills of Grade II elementary school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The participants consisted of 28 Grade II students from SDN Makassar 1. Research instruments included expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, observation sheets, and pretest-posttest instruments. The validation results showed scores of 87.5% from the material expert, 84.2% from the media expert, and 89.0% from the language expert, all categorized as highly valid. The practicality level of the media reached 88.3%. The effectiveness of the media was demonstrated by an increase in the average score from 58.6 in the pretest to 82.4 in the posttest, with an N-Gain score of 0.57 (moderate category). Therefore, the developed contextual-based digital comic media is considered valid, practical, and effective in improving the numeracy skills of Grade II elementary school students.

Abstract

The development of teaching materials in elementary schools is one of the efforts to improve the quality of learning and help students better understand learning content. One of the most widely used models in developing teaching materials is the ADDIE model because it has systematic stages and is easy to apply. This article aims to review the use of the ADDIE model in developing teaching materials in elementary schools through a literature study. The method used is a literature review by collecting various sources such as books, journals, and relevant research findings. The results of the study show that the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, can help produce more structured teaching materials that are in accordance with the needs of elementary school students. In addition, several studies show that the use of the ADDIE model can increase students’ learning motivation and understanding in the learning process.
