Abstract

Nagari Piobang is the hometown of Haji Piobang, one of the purization figures of Islam in Indonesia. As his homeland, the Piobang people should also inherit the spirit of Haji Piobang's struggle to uphold Islamic teachings. But in reality, people are no longer passionate about religious activities. This action research aims to revive the community's spirit of implementing Sharia in Nagari Piobang, West Sumatra. This research method is Action Based Community Development, which is action research that seeks to revive the spirit of the community by bringing up the glory of its characters in the past. Through this action research, it is hoped that it can regenerate the spirit of the community to uphold sustainable Islamic law with positive activities for the young generation of Piobang. Several programs are designed to spark public interest in religious activities, including Tahfiz Quran and Tahsin. Both of these programs are very popular, considering that this kind of activity has been absent in the community for a long time. The program's sustainability is also guaranteed by special funds from the community, amounting to approximately 30 million, for the fulfillment of infrastructure facilities. The Action Based Community Development activity carried out during Ramadan 1444 H was very satisfying. All success standards designed at the beginning of the activity are achieved with indicators that exceed expectations. Although it had dimmed, it turned out that the spirit of Hajj Piobang did not die in the Nagari Piobang, West Sumatra community. This is evidenced by the revival of religious programs for the younger generation with a form more following the times.

Abstract

The low ability of the community in Asam Jawa village, Torgamba sub-district, Labuhan Batu Selatan district in terms of reading the Al-Qur'an. Recitation of the Qur'an that is not in accordance with the place where the letters come out (makharijul letters) and the laws of tajwid. Then do not understand the meaning or interpretation of what is read from the Qur'an. The above has encouraged KKNT(Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik) Students to channel the knowledge learned to the community through Thematic Community Service activities. The KKNT activities carried out are an effort to increase Al-Qur'an literacy among mothers and children by introducing hijaiyyah letters, makhraj letters and increasing understanding of the Qur'an. KKNT is held in the month of Ramadan to take advantage of the momentum of Ramadan when the majority of Muslims are enthusiastic about worshipping and studying the Qur'an. The KKNT method used to achieve the expected goals uses the Community Based Research (CBR) method. This method has four stages: laying basic principles, research planning, data collection and analysis, and action on findings. The results of this activity show that the quality of reading the Qur'an among children is still low due to their lack of basic knowledge and their lack of discipline in participating in existing activities. As for mothers, there were significant results in improving their reading skills and comprehension. This is supported by enthusiasm, high motivation to learn, and discipline in following the study. It can be concluded that adult students who are active and have basic knowledge find it easier and faster to understand the lessons being delivered.

Abstract

Madani's people can be defined as civilization society in building, living, and fulfilling his life. Madani society will happen when a society properly applies the principles of democracy, and the purpose of this activity is to form productive reforms in the society of children. In the Al-Qur'an itself, it is explained that the best people to form a more humanistic and tolerant human civilization "you are the best of mankind born to man, called on the ma 'ruf, shut out the munkar, and put faith in Allah. If the book of faith were possible, it would have been better for them; Some were believers, and most were wicked." (Q.S Ali Imran [3]: 110). This method is community-based research (CBR), a scientific discovery that many children want to study religion. From this activity, it has been found that creating positive reforms in especially small communities through CBR's activities going well, this can be seen in the competition of research teams at the end of activities that make a growing religious presence and a habit in the future for them to do well.

Abstract

This KKNT activity aims to enlighten the public about the importance of mosques for Muslims and how to empower mosques as centers of Islamic community activities, especially as a means for tafaqquh (understanding) Islamic sciences. The method used in this community service activity is Participatory Action Research. Sarugo Village, Nagari Koto Tinggi, Gunuang Omeh District, Fifty Cities District, West Sumatra is the target of this year's STAI As-Sunnah KKNT activities. This place was chosen because, based on observations and interviews conducted with the people in the area, it was concluded that there were several mosques, but the number of Muslim people who had the awareness to prosper the mosques with worship activities was very minimal, this was due to the absence of preachers who provided enlightenment to the public about the importance of mosques for Muslims, and how to empower mosques as centers of Islamic community activities. KKNT activities are carried out for two weeks, from March 25 to April 9, 2023. The forms of activities carried out to achieve the above objectives are conducting Islamic study activities at mosques, reviving the role of mosque youth, visiting local communities at mosques by holding positive activities such as cooperation in mosques, breaking the fast together, and sticking up posters of Islamic knowledge, such as posters for ablution prayers, prayer posters for entering mosques, and so on. It was concluded that through these activities, Kampuang Sarugo's enthusiasm increased to come to worship at the Masjid and prosper the Masjid through other positive activities.
