Abstract

The challenge of drastic global climate change has urged a transition to a green economy. The contribution of SMEs as an engine of macroeconomic expansion that pays attention to and makes environmental issues a basic concept of their business model is very important. This study aims to investigate the factors that influence the behavioral intention of SMEs in tourism areas in Labuan Bajo to conduct green innovation using an integrated approach of Pro environmental planned behavior (PEPB). Offline questionnaires and interviews were used as data collection tools, and 205 SMEs that have conducted green innovation were respondents. The theoretical model was tested using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with top-level constructs. The findings of this study reveal that perceived authority support, perceived environmental concern, subjective norm, attitude, significantly affect the intention of SMEs to do green innovation. Meanwhile, perceived behavioral control are known to be insignificant. These findings contribute to the development and validation of an integrated model of green innovation in SMEs and provide all business stakeholders with an understanding of the rationale for green innovation.

Abstract

This study used a quantitative approach with a cross sectional design. The aim was to explore the relationship between the quality of social relationships, emotional intelligence, and work environment and psychological well-being. A total of 145 respondents who actively worked from various sectors or industries were selected through the purposive sampling method. The research instrument was a questionnaire with five Likert scales 1-5.  Data collection will be conducted from December 15, 2023 to January 15, 2024. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of AMOS software. Path analysis is used to test the relationship between the variables studied, while the validity and reliability of the instrument are examined through factor analysis. The results showed that the quality of good social relationships, high levels of emotional intelligence, and a supportive work environment have a strong and positive influence on the psychological well-being of working individuals. This research makes an important contribution in deepening our understanding of how the interaction between these factors together affects psychological well-being. With a deeper understanding of these dynamics, it is expected to develop strategies that are more effective in improving the quality of the work environment and psychological well-being of employees. Therefore, the results of this study not only provide empirical findings on the relationship between these variables, but also have the potential to be the basis for the development of policies and management practices that are more oriented towards employee welfare. By adjusting the work environment and paying greater attention to aspects such as the quality of social relationships and the building of emotional intelligence, organizations can strengthen the psychological well-being of their employees. This not only means improving an individual's working life, but also having a wider positive impact on productivity and overall work quality.

Abstract

Examine the relationship between workload, compensation, and work environment on work productivity, taking into account the role of work discipline as a mediator. This study applies quantitative approaches and survey methods to assess the impact of workload, compensation, and work environment on work discipline and work productivity. Likert questionnaires 1 to 5 were used as a comprehensive research instrument. Data was collected from 147 respondents at various levels within several companies. Data analysis uses Structural Equation Models (SEM) with the help of AMOS software to identify relationships between independent and bound variables.The results of the analysis showed that the relationship between workload and work discipline was not significantly confirmed. Likewise, the relationship between compensation and work discipline was also not significantly confirmed.  However, there is significant confirmation that the work environment has a positive effect on work discipline.  In addition, there is significant confirmation that work discipline has a positive effect on work productivity. The results of the analysis suggest that a focus on workload management and compensation may not be significant in improving employee discipline and productivity. The implication is that it needs to be focused on creating a supportive work environment, as well as paying attention to and strengthening work discipline in human resource management strategies to increase overall productivity.

Abstract

This study headed to probe the moonlighting intentions (MI) empirically from non-monetary factors, including job satisfaction (JS) through the mediation of organizational commitment (OC) and the moderation role of perceived COVID-19 threats (PCT) and perceived financial threats (PFT) during the pandemic. The study accustomed quantitative methods with a survey and a cross-sectional design. This study gathered data from 81 employees at Community College (AK-Tekstil Solo) and analyzed it using SMART PLS. This study discovered that job satisfaction majorly impacts organizational commitment and moonlighting intentions. Organizational commitment negatively influences moonlighting intentions due to its indirect-only (full mediation) relationships with job satisfaction. PCT and PFT did not play a moderating role, but they did diminish the effect sizes between constructs. The results of this study confirmed the substantial non-monetary facets of moonlighting intentions. This research contributes to the development of theory by validating the relationships that it draws from social exchange theory, and the novelty is the introduction of moderating variables in terms of threat aspects perceived during the pandemic, PCT, and PFT. The relevance of the research findings provides some practical implications and valuable insights for managers of formal educational institutions in the environmental condition that may change at any time without certainty

Abstract

The headway of information and communication technology has led to significant changes in various industries, particularly in e-commerce. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and immersive technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) has created new opportunities for e-commerce to improve customer experiences. This study analyzes the effects of implementing AI and immersive technology in e-commerce, focusing on customer engagement as a mediating factor. A sample of 99 participants was examined and analyzed using PLS-SEM by SmartPLS 4 software, and the findings indicate that AI and immersive technology have a positive, significant impact on online purchase intention. Customer engagement cannot mediate the relationship between artificial intelligence and online purchase intention. However, it does mediate the relationship between immersive technology and online purchase intention. Abstract

Several studies have proven that visual content uploaded on Instagram is a factor in forming destination images. On the other hand, tourists and local tourism authorities are two elements that form a destination image. This research aims to identify the image formation projected by local authorities and the image perceived by tourists through visual content uploaded to their official Instagram accounts in two time periods (before and after the COVID-19 pandemic). All visual content uploaded to their Instagram accounts was collected and analyzed using qualitative content analysis techniques to identify differences and similarities in the images formed by these elements in the two highlighted periods. This research found several things. First, various themes are exploited by these two elements in the production of visual content to be uploaded to their Instagram accounts, including natural attractions (AA), cultural attractions (AB), historical and religious buildings (BSK), tourist activities (TA), culinary and restaurant activities (CR), transportation and accommodation (AT), and local people (LP). Second, AA, TA, and AT are the dominant themes in the two periods (pre- and post-COVID-19 pandemic). Third, in the post-pandemic period, there was a significant decline in the population of visual content uploaded to the Genpi-Bintan account compared to the pre-pandemic period. On the other hand, local authority accounts saw an increase in the population of visual content in the post-COVID-19 pandemic period compared to the period before the pandemic. Theoretical and practical implications and several recommendations are presented at the end of this article.
