Abstract

Background : Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by elevated blood glucose levels in the body due to insulin resistance or inadequate insulin production. The purpose of this study is to investigatethe relationship between physical activity and blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus who participated in the PROLANIS program at the Sei Lekop Community Health Center in 2023. Methods : This study is an observational research with an analytical cohort design. Data collection was obtained from the medical records of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who are registered under BPJS. The data analysis methods include univariate analysis and bivariate analysis, with a standard error of estimate set at 5% or 0.05 Results : The results of the Wilcoxon test showed that PROLANIS exercise had a relationship with reducing blood sugar levels during type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at the Sei Lekop Community Health Center in 2023. The results of the Wilcoxon test were p = 0.001. Conclusion : Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between PROLANIS exercise and random blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at Sei Lekop Health Center in 2023 Keywords : Diabetes Mellitus, Blood Glucose Levels, and PROLANIS Exercise.

Abstract

Background: The incidence of delayed growth and development of bones and teeth, as well as abnormalities in bone and teeth among the Indonesian population, is quite high. The growth of baby teeth provides an indication of infant nutrition, as sufficient nutrition influences the acceleration of baby teeth growth. Thus, essential nutrients for overall metabolism, foods with high-quality protein and calcium concentration, have a linear relationship with the growth and development of bones and teeth. Methods: : The study employed an analytical observational research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of 486 infants aged 6-12 months from the Botania Community Health Center. Sample selection utilized Simple Random Sampling with a minimum total sample of 78. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square Test. Results: There was a significant relationship between Exclusive Breastfeeding and the Number of Baby Teeth Aged 6-12 Months at the Botania Community Health Center, with a obtained p-value of 0.024 < 0.05. Conclusion: Based on the research findings, it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the Number of Baby Teeth Aged 6-12 Months in the working area of Botania Community Health Center, Batam City, in 2023, with a p-value of 0.024. Abstract

Background: According to the Ministry of Health (2021), Hypertension or high blood pressure is characterized by an increase in systolic blood pressure exceeding 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure exceeding 90 mmHg in two measurements taken five minutes apart in a sufficiently rested/quiet state. Poor sleep quality occurs due to increased cortisol hormone, caused by the activation of the sympathetic nervous system, which enhances vasoconstrictor effects (epinephrine and norepinephrine) that influence the increase in blood pressure. Individuals with good sleep quality tend to experience a better quality of life. This study aims to determine the relationship between the degree of hypertension and sleep quality in hypertensive patients at PMI Hospital Bogor City in 2023. Method: This is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional analytical study design. The sampling technique used in this study is non-probability sampling with a sample size of 82 individuals using accidental sampling. Sleep quality was measured using the PSQI questionnaire. Data analysis employed univariate and bivariate analyses with the chi-square statistical test. Results: The Chi-square test analysis for the relationship between the degree of hypertension and sleep quality in hypertensive patients yielded a p-value of 0.115 (p > 0.05). Conclusion: Based on the results of this research, it is concluded that there is no significant relationship between the degree of hypertension and sleep quality in hypertensive patients at PMI Hospital Bogor City in 2023. Abstract

Background: Fibroadenoma mammae (FAM) is a breast tumor that is painless, unilateral, benign (non-cancerous), in the form of a solid lump, and does not contain fluid. It mostly appears in women between the ages of 14 and 35. FAM cases increase every year, accompanied by concerns about lumps around the breasts which are often mistaken for malignancy. Although the exact cause of FAM is not known, several factors have been identified as risk factors for FAM, including contraceptive use, getting pregnant at a young age, and being on hormonal therapy. Methods: This research method is observational analysis with a case control approach. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling with a purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 80 respondents (40 case groups and 40 control groups). Analysis uses the chi square test. Results: The results of this study found a relationship between contraceptive use and the incidence of fibroadenoma mammae (FAM). The results of the chi square statistical test showed a p value of 0.000 (<0.05). Conclusion: Based on this research, it was concluded that there was a relationship between contraceptive use and the incidence of fibroadenoma mammae (FAM) at Budi Kemuliaan Hospital Batam at a relatively weak level of relationship strength. Abstract

Background: Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) is defined as a sudden impairment of kidney function. The main indicator of the severity of AKI is an increase in creatinine levels. One substance that can cause oxidative stress and damage the kidney system is Monosodium glutamate (MSG). MSG at a dose of 4,8g/kgBB was proven to cause damage to the kidneys of mice. Flavonoids found in plants function as natural antioxidants with their ability to ward off free radical molecules. One of these plants is basil leaves (Ocimum sanctum). The aim of this research was to determine the effect of basil leaf extract on creatinine levels in white mice induced by Monosodium glutamate (MSG). Methods: The rats in this study totaled 25, divided into 5 groups: negative control (received aquadest and standard rat feed), positive control (received MSG at 4.8g/kg body weight for 14 days), and three treatment groups (MSG + basil leaf extract at doses of 700 mg/kg body weight, 1,050 mg/kg body weight, and 1,400 mg/kg body weight for 10 days). Data analysis was conducted using One Way Anova followed by Post Hoc Tamhane test. Results: The results of the One Way Anova test on creatinine levels showed that there was an effect after administering basil leaf extract among the five treatment groups, p = 0.000. The results of the Post Hoc Tamhane test showed that basil leaf extract had the activity of inhibiting the formation of creatinine levels which was effective at a dose of 1,050 mg/kgBW p = 0.011. Conclusion: Based on the research results, it can be concluded that basil leaf extract can reduce creatinine levels induced by Monosodium glutamate (MSG). Abstract

Background: Diaper rash (diaper dermatitis) is an inflammatory eruption in the area covered by diapers. The usual initial symptoms of diaper rash are mild redness in the area around the use of diapers that is limited in nature accompanied by abrasions or minor wounds on the skin, shiny, sometimes similar to burns and wetness, red spots and swelling in the area most exposed to diapers. Method: This study is an observational analytic study using a cross sectional approach conducted in Tanjung Buntung Subdistrict, the work area of the Tanjung Buntung Health Center, Batam City in December 2023. The sampling technique was accidental sampling technique with a total sample size of 60 respondents. The data analysis used was univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the Chi-Square test Result: From the results of the study, it was found that the type of diaper, frequency of changing diapers, and diarrhea had an association with the incidence of diaper rash. The results of the Chi-Square statistical test obtained a p value for the type of diaper with the incidence of diaper rash 0.036 (<0.05), the p value for the frequency of changing diapers with the incidence of diaper rash 0.042 (<0.05), and the p value for diarrhea with the incidence of diaper rash 0.000 (<0.05). Conclusion: Based on this study, there is a relationship between diaper type, frequency of diaper changing, and diarrhea with the incidence of diaper rash in infants and toddlers in Tanjung Buntung Subdistrict. Abstract

Background: Women with placenta previa are at increased risk of antepartum hemorrhage, which can be harmful to both mother and fetus. One factor that can influence the occurrence of placenta previa is trauma to the uterus, such as that caused by a cesarean sectio procedure. Methods: The method used in this study was an observational analytic with a Case-Control design conducted at Budi Kemuliaan Hospital Batam in January. The determination of the number of control and case samples used the Kelsey formula, with a total of 84 samples, with each group consisting of 42 patients. Bivariate analysis was performed to determine the Relationship Between Delivery History and the Incidence of Placenta Previa, as well as the value or magnitude of the Odds Ratio. Results: The results of this study showed that delivery history is associated with the incidence of placenta previa. The Chi-Square statistical test results showed a p-value of 0.014 (p<0.05) with an Odds Ratio of 3.100 (OR>1). Conclusion: Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between delivery history and the incidence of placenta previa at Budi Kemuliaan Hospital Batam. The risk of placenta previa in caesarean section is three times higher compared to normal deliveries. Keywords: Delivery History, Placenta Previa,Pregnant Women

Abstract

Background: Burns are damage to the skin or other tissues caused by high temperatures, radiation,electricity, or contact with chemicals. Healing by maintaining resistance that has potential to killbacteria at affordable prices is to use the active substances contained in honey and Moringa leaf.Methods: Research with True Experimental design by giving honey and ethanol extract of moringaleaves in gel preparation to affect the acceleration of second degree burn wound healing in ratsmacroscopically. With the design of "Post Test Only Control Group Design". The data were analyzedusing the Mann Whitney nonparametric test.Result: Analysis of data on the average diameter of wound healing and percentage of wound reductionon day 7 between honey and ethanol extract of moringa leaves with a significance value of 0.000, onday 14 a significance value of 0.000 was obtained which means sig.<0.005 It can be concluded thereis a significant difference between the treatment groups.Conclusion: Ethanol extract of moringa leaves has a smaller wound diameter value, which is anaverage of 12.09 mm compared to honey which has a wound diameter of 14.54 mm. Based on thepercent reduction value, moringa leaf ethanol extract has a percent wound reduction of 39.90%compared to honey which has a percent wound reduction value of 27.26%.

Abstract

Kariadi, Semarang, Indonesia Backgroud : Synovial sarcoma is a highly malignant neoplasm primarily affecting soft tissues of the extremities, with a low incidence in the head and neck region, particularly those with intracranial extension. Synovial sarcoma of the head and neck region is very rare, and sarcoma arising from the orbit is rarer still. Case Description : A 4-year-old girl presented with a palpable mass in the right orbit, which extended to the right naso-orbital region and grew rapidly over a 3-month period. Contrast-enhanced CT imaging revealed a mass at the right periorbital area with intracranial extension. The tumor was surgically excised, and histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of synovial sarcoma in the orbit. The diagnosis was further confirmed by immunohistochemistry results as follows, EMA (+) was positive in some tumor cells, CD56 (+) was diffusely strong positive, CD99 (+) was diffusely positive, Tdt (-) was negative and Desmin (-) was negative. Discussion and Conclusion : Head and neck sarcomas are known for their aggressive behavior and poor prognosis. The standard treatment consists of surgical resection followed by postoperative radiotherapy. However, due to economic constraints, the family declined chemotherapy and the patient succumbed to the disease within a month. Given the high risk of recurrence, aggressive management and close follow-up are essential for the best possible outcome. Kariadi, Semarang, Indonesia Latar Belakang : Synovial Sarcoma adalah neoplasma sangat ganas yang terutama menyerang jaringan lunak ekstremitass, dengan insiden rendah di daerah kepala dan leher, terutama di daerah yang meluas ke intrakranial. Synovial sarcoma pada daerah kepala dan leher sangat jarang terjadi, dan sarcoma yang muncul dari orbit tergolong kasus langka terjadi. Deskripsi Kasus : Seorang anak perempuan berusia 4 tahun mengalami massa yang teraba di orbita kanan, yang meluas ke daerah naso-orbita kanan dan tumbuh dengan cepat dalam jangka waktu 3 bulan. Pencitraan CT dengan kontras menunjukkan adanya massa di area periorbital kanan dengan perluasan intrakranial. Tumor tersebut dieksisi melalui pembedahan, dan pemeriksaan histopatologis memastikan diagnosis Synovial sarcoma di orbit. Diagnosis selanjutnya dikonfirmasi oleh imunohistokimia dengan hasil : EMA (+) positif pada sebagian sel tumor, CD56 (+) positif kuat difus, CD99 (+) Positif difus, Tdt (-) negatif dan Desmin (-) negatif. Pembahasan dan Kesimpulan : Sarkoma kepala dan leher dikenal karena perilaku agresif dan prognosisnya yang buruk. Perawatan standar terdiri dari reseksi bedah diikuti dengan radioterapi pasca operasi. Namun karena keterbatasan ekonomi, keluarga tersebut menolak kemoterapi dan pasien meninggal karena penyakit tersebut dalam waktu satu bulan. Mengingat tingginya risiko kekambuhan, penanganan yang agresif dan tindak lanjut yang ketat sangat penting untuk mendapatkan hasil terbaik. Kata kunci : Synovial sarcoma, orbit, perluasan intrakranial, imunohistokimia.

Abstract

Latar Belakang:Berat badan bayi yang tidak sesuai dengan batas normal, hal ini dapat menjadi pertanda adanya gangguan Kesehatan. Glukosa(gula) sangat mempengaruhi janin yang terbentuk melalui tubuh ibu. Jumlah glukosa(gula) yang diserap ibu dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan pada janin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara berat badan bayi dengan kadar glukosa ibu saat persalinan pada pasien poli obgyn Rumah Sakit Hj.Bunda Halimah Kota Batam Tahun 2022. Metode: Desain penelitian yang dilakukan peneliti bersifat analitik, dengan pendekatan cross sectional yang dilakukan pada pasien Poli Obgyn di Rumah Sakit Hj.Bunda Halimah Batam.Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Non-probability sampling menggunakan metode pursosive sampling dengan populasi 142 pasien ibu hamil yang partus di Rumah Sakit Hj.Bunda Halimah tahun 2022, sehingga didapati jumlah sampel 71 pasien. Analisis data yang digunakan analisis univariat dan analisis bivariat dengan uji Chi-Square. Hasil: Hasil uji analisis Chi-Square didapatkan bahwa berat badan bayi memiliki hubungan dengan kadar glukosa ibu saat persalinan di RS Hj.Bunda Halimah Kota Batam tahun 2022 dengan nilai p=0,001 (<0,05) Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara kadar glukosa ibu dengan berat badan bayi baru lahir pada pasien obgyn di Rumah Sakit Hj.Bunda Halimah Kota Batam tahun 2022 Kata kunci: Berat Badan Bayi, Kadar Glukosa Ibu, Kelahiran
