Abstract

Nosocomial infections remain a major challenge for hospitals because they can increase morbidity, mortality, treatment costs, and patient length of stay. Effective infection prevention and control are therefore essential to improve patient safety and healthcare quality. This study aimed to examine risk management practices for infection prevention at Yogyakarta City Hospital. A qualitative study with a phenomenological approach was employed. Informants included hospital management, healthcare staff, and patients selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and simulations. The findings indicate that the hospital has implemented comprehensive infection risk management through policies and standard operating procedures, hand hygiene programs, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, environmental disinfection practices, airborne isolation facilities, waste management systems, and continuous program evaluation. The study concludes that effective infection risk reduction can be achieved through strong institutional policies, structured infection control programs, dedicated program management, and ongoing staff education and training to ensure compliance with patient safety standards.

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the influence of brand image, e-WOM, brand trust, and e-service quality on ticket purchasing decisions among Traveloka consumers. A quantitative approach was applied using primary data gathered from 150 respondents collected through a purposive sampling technique. The data were gathered through Google Forms and analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The existing findings reveal that brand image, e-WOM, and brand trust positively and significantly affect purchasing decisions, while e-service quality does not show a significant influence. The research model is able to explain 67,5% of purchasing decisions. These findings emphasize the need to strengthen brand image, manage online reviews, and build consumer trust in shaping consumer behavior on digital platforms. This study also provides practical insights for Online Travel Agent (OTA) companies in developing increasingly effective digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

Patient satisfaction is an important indicator for evaluating the quality of hospital services. This study aims to examine the effect of SERVQUAL dimensions on inpatient satisfaction at RSUD Panembahan Senopati Bantul. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed using data collected from 79 inpatients selected through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that only the assurance and responsiveness dimensions have a significant positive effect on patient satisfaction, whereas reliability, tangibles, and empathy do not show significant effects. Nevertheless, the five SERVQUAL dimensions simultaneously influence patient satisfaction. These findings suggest that patients place greater emphasis on confidence, trust, and prompt service than on other dimensions of service quality. The findings provide practical insights for hospital management to prioritize service quality improvement strategies and enhance patient satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of human relations and organizational culture on employee work ethic at the Department of Population Control, Family Planning, Women’s Empowerment, and Child Protection (DP3APPKB) of Bantul Regency. This research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The population consisted of all employees of DP3APPKB Bantul (61 employees), and the study used a saturated sampling technique, in which the entire population served as the sample. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression in SPSS version 23. The results indicate that human relations have a significant effect on employee work ethic, although the relationship is negative. This finding suggests that excessively informal interpersonal relationships may reduce employee discipline and focus at work. Organizational culture, on the other hand, has a positive and significant effect on work ethic, indicating that the stronger the implementation of organizational values, the higher the employee work ethic. Furthermore, human relations and organizational culture simultaneously have a significant effect on employee work ethic. These findings imply that organizations need to strengthen organizational culture while maintaining professional interpersonal relationships to enhance employee work ethic and organizational performance.
