Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the sidewalk maze game media on the gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years in kindergartens in Barru district. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with a Quasi Experimental Design research type. The population in this study was 172 children. Sampling in this research used the Purposive Sampling technique. The sample consisted of 62 children, 31 children in the experimental group and 31 children in the control group. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistical analysis and parametric statistical analysis using normality tests, homogeneity tests and hypothesis tests. The results of the data analysis obtained were Asym (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. Thus, the gross motor skills in the experimental group were better than the control group, this proves that the use of sidewalk maze game media has a significant influence on the gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years in the Barru Regency Kindergarten..

Abstract

At school, some children still encounter difficulties in interacting with others around them. This can be observed through behaviors such as preferring solitude, unwillingness to share, reluctance to cooperate, and displaying expressions of anger, sadness, and fear while at school. This study aims to describe the social interactions of early childhood children at TK Assalam 1 Sukarame, Bandar Lampung. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were classroom teachers and children aged 5-6 years in group B1. Data collection tools included observation results, interviews, and documentation. The data collected were analyzed through data reduction, display, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that teachers use six methods to develop social interaction through role-playing techniques: 1) Teachers narrate the storyline to be played based on the theme, 2) Teachers prepare the props to be used, 3) Teachers demonstrate the roles to be played, 4) Teachers provide opportunities for children to take on roles, 5) Teachers remind children of their play experiences, and 6) Teachers guide children in tidying up the equipment.

Abstract

Discourse on Qur'an-based Islamic education for early childhood is increasingly coloring the world of education. Children will grow into individuals with character if they can grow in a good environment, so that the innate nature of every child born pure will develop optimally. The objectives of this research are (1) To understand M. Quraish Shihab's thoughts in the Al-Misbah interpretation about Islamic education for early childhood in Surah Al-Furqan verses 63-70; (2) To understand the implications of the verses of Surah Al-Furqan verses 63-70 on the development of Islamic Education for Early Childhood. This type of research is qualitative research, with the type of research used being library research. The primary data source used in this study is the al-Mishbah interpretation. In Surah Al-Furqan verses 63-74, Qur'an-based Islamic education for early childhood is described, such as accustoming children to interact with others with full humility, not being harsh, not hurting others, answering the greetings of ignorant people with words that lead to safety, habituation of worship, always praying, not being stingy, not disturbing others and guarding oneself from immoral/sinful acts. Qur'an-based Islamic education for early childhood has an effective influence on every action taken by each child. It can influence the faith, Islam, and goodness done by every child.

Abstract

This article provides a critical review of the education curriculum in Indonesia starting from the implementation of the Competency Based Curriculum (KBK) which was implemented in 2004 to the Merdeka Curriculum which has been implemented since 2022. Through a systematic review method, this research seeks to analyze curriculum developments with a focus on the Based Curriculum. Competencies (2004), Education Unit Level Curriculum (2006), 2013 Curriculum, revised 2013 Curriculum, and Merdeka Curriculum. The results of the review show that each curriculum has a positive impact on students and the education system and has its own unique obstacles. The Competency-Based Curriculum emphasizes the development of generic skills and student character, while the Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes learning freedom and learning recovery as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic. From the analysis of the various curricula, it can be stated that learning from each curriculum is important for forming a future curriculum that is adaptive, high quality and in line with educational needs in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Spindle Boxes Media with the Montessori Method on the ability to recognize the concept of numbers of children aged 4-5 years at Telkom Kindergarten Makassar. This research approach used is quantitative with the type of Quasi Exprimental Design Research. Sampling in this study were 20 people, 10 children in the experimental group, 10 children as a control group. Data collection techniques in this study are documentation, tests and observations. The data analysis technique in this consists of descriptive statistical test data and non-parametric analysis using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test research, the sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) 0.005 <0.05 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, namely there is a difference in the average level of ability to recognize the concept of numbers of children aged 4-5 years at Telkom Kindergarten Makassar. The data from the descriptive statistical test can prove the research hypothesis that has been formulated if there is an average difference in the ability to recognize the concept of numbers of children aged 4-5 years, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, namely there is an effect of using Spindle Boxes media with the Montessori method on the ability to recognize the concept of numbers of children aged 4-5 years at Telkom Kindergarten Makassar.

Abstract

In human society, individuals must interact with others because humans are inherently social beings. Being part of a community or socializing requires a mutual attitude of love and respect, including helping one another. This prosocial behavior forms a continuous chain of civilization. The true essence of prosocial behavior has been defined by many psychologists. Simply put, prosocial behavior is any action intended to benefit others. Prosocial behavior emerges from social interactions and is characterized by actions or plans designed to assist others, regardless of the helper's motives.

Abstract

Epistemology, as a branch of philosophy of science that discusses the origins, structure and validity of knowledge, has an important role in developing the mathematics education curriculum. This research aims to explore the relevance of epistemology in designing and implementing a relevant and contextual mathematics curriculum. Using a literature review method based on the philosophy of science, this research analyzes the concept of epistemology in relation to the nature of mathematics, pedagogy and curriculum design. The results of the study show that the application of an epistemological approach in the curriculum is able to increase students' conceptual understanding, build critical thinking skills, and integrate local culture and technology. In addition, this approach encourages learning methods based on discovery and problem solving, which are more effective in facing the challenges of the digital era. Practical implications include designing more meaningful learning, local relevance through ethnomathematics, and strengthening 21st century skills. Thus, the integration of epistemology in mathematics education not only improves the quality of learning but also prepares students to face global challenges with adaptive and innovative thinking skills.

Abstract

This article uses a literature review research method to explore feminist philosophy and its implications in counseling guidance. Through analysis of various relevant literary sources, the author attempts to identify and summarize feminist thinking and its application in the context of counseling guidance. This method allows the author to explore information from various perspectives, so as to provide a comprehensive picture of the topic discussed. This literature review involves collecting data from journals and articles related to feminist philosophy and its implications in guidance and counseling. The data collection process begins with identifying relevant sources. Several academic databases such as Google Scholar, JSTOR, and ProQuest were used to search for scientific articles discussing feminist philosophy and its implications in counseling guidance. Data analysis was carried out by classifying information based on themes that emerged from the literature reviewed. Each theme is analyzed in depth to gain better insight into feminist philosophy and its implications in guidance counseling. The results show that feminist philosophy has significant implications in counseling guidance, both in terms of theory and practice. A gender-based approach in counseling does not only pay attention to individual experiences, but also considers the broader social context that influences the client's life. Through a gender-sensitive approach, guidance and counseling can contribute to women's empowerment and achieving gender equality in society.

Abstract

Learning and teaching activities at middle school in Biology subjects have low learning outcomes and students do not participate actively in learning activities. This is caused by monotonous learning in terms of learning methods and learning media. The problems that arise cause the need for classroom action research which aims to improve student learning outcomes in science (Biology) subjects by using group work methods and using more interesting learning media. Class action research was carried out in 2 cycles. The first cycle used the group work learning method by presenting the material they had prepared. After making a presentation, students were directed to discuss with each other and ask questions to their classmates. The average increase in student learning outcomes from pre-cycle to cycle I is 9.4414% from 70.35 to 73.15. The second cycle uses a group work learning method with a puzzle games method and students are directed to arrange and mark each part. After that, students discuss with each other in groups and explain it again in the puzzle results presentation session. Learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II in table 2 experienced a drastic increase of 76.54103%% from 73.15 to 93.7.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the concept of inclusive education and emphasize the concepts of justice and equality in PAUD learning. The approach taken in this article is theoretical research, which links three philosophical foundations, namely ontology, epistemology and axiology to understand how to implement inclusive education fairly and equally. Based on this research, the Ontology of Inclusive Education explains that every child, regardless of ability or background, has the same right to learn in an environment that supports diversity. Epistemology emphasizes the importance of an adaptive approach to learning, where each child acquires knowledge in a way that suits his or her needs. Axiology emphasizes the values of social justice, cooperation and respect for differences, which must be applied in the learning process to build a more inclusive society. This article also discusses the challenges of implementing inclusive education and provides recommendations for increasing educational equality and the quality of education for all children in PAUD. Through this philosophy-based approach, inclusive education in PAUD can provide equal and sustainable opportunities for every child to develop according to their potential.
