Abstract

Conceptual understanding plays a crucial role in mathematics learning; however, classroom practices that prioritize procedural execution often hinder students’ ability to construct meaning from mathematical ideas. This issue was observed among seventh-grade students at SMP Cinta Rakyat 3 Pematangsiantar, where problem-solving activities were largely approached through formula memorization rather than conceptual reasoning. This study investigates the extent to which a pedagogical deep learning strategy, defined as a high-level cognitive approach distinct from artificial intelligence, can enhance students’ mathematical conceptual understanding by fostering active engagement, conceptual exploration, and reflective thinking. The research adopted a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design involving 32 students selected through purposive sampling. Students’ understanding was assessed using an essay-based instrument aligned with indicators of conceptual comprehension. Data were examined through descriptive analysis, normality testing, paired-sample t-test, and the calculation of the Normalized Gain (N-Gain) index. The findings reveal a meaningful increase in conceptual understanding following the intervention, indicated by a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores and an average N-Gain of 0.62, classified as a moderate level of improvement. These results highlight the potential of deep learning-oriented instructional practices to support deeper conceptual engagement in mathematics learning. While the absence of a control group restricts broader generalization, the study offers preliminary empirical insight into the effectiveness of deep learning strategies within junior high school mathematics contexts.

Abstract

Developments in 21st-century education demand learning innovations that integrate technology without sacrificing essential values, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. One relevant model is blended learning (BL), a combination of face-to-face and online learning. This study aims to describe the implementation of BL in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at Muhammadiyah 1 Junior High School, Tepus, Gunung Kidul, and identify supporting factors, obstacles, and its impact on student motivation and learning independence. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study through observation, interviews, and documentation with the principal, PAI teachers, and eighth-grade students. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model with triangulation of sources and techniques. The results indicate that BL was implemented quite effectively and adaptively, increasing student motivation and learning independence and making PAI learning more varied and contextual. However, obstacles remain, including limited internet access, devices, and students’ digital literacy. Overall, BL has the potential to be an effective and relevant PAI learning model in the digital era, particularly in religious-based schools in remote areas.

Abstract

The increasing incidence of violence, bullying, and the degradation of social values in school environments signals a crisis of role modeling within educational practice. This article aims to analyze and formulate strategies for Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers in fostering students’ role modeling and social awareness through the integration of Albert Bandura’s social cognitive learning theory and Antonio Gramsci’s concept of organic intellectuals. This study employs a qualitative approach using a library research method, drawing on primary and secondary literature relevant to issues of role modeling, social awareness, and Islamic religious education. Data were analyzed descriptively and analytically through content analysis and hermeneutic interpretation to construct a coherent theoretical synthesis. The findings indicate that IRE teachers, as organic intellectuals, play a strategic role as moral exemplars and agents of social consciousness formation through reflective role modeling, contextual learning, and active engagement in social activities. The integration of Bandura’s and Gramsci’s theories emphasizes that value internalization occurs not merely through knowledge transmission, but through observation, lived experience, and continuous critical reflection. Consequently, strengthening the role of IRE teachers as moral exemplars and drivers of social values has the potential to create a more humanistic, empathetic, and civilized educational ecosystem.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of supervision on public transportation traffic order in Ambon City. Public transportation plays a crucial role in urban mobility, where traffic order is essential to ensure safety and service quality. This research employs a quantitative approach using survey data collected from public transport drivers and relevant stakeholders. Data were analyzed using statistical methods, including a partial t-test and coefficient of determination. The results indicate that supervision has a positive and statistically significant effect on traffic order (t = 3.726; p < 0.001). However, the coefficient of determination shows a very low explanatory power, with an R Square value of 0.001, indicating that supervision explains only 0.1% of the variation in traffic order. This suggests that traffic order is largely influenced by other factors beyond supervision, such as driver awareness, traffic culture, and supporting infrastructure. Despite its limited contribution, supervision remains a significant instrument in encouraging compliance and reducing traffic violations. Strengthening supervisory practices is therefore necessary to support more orderly public transportation management in Ambon City.

Abstract

This study aims to map and analyze the development of scientific literature on organisational communication in Pencak Silat organizations using a bibliometric mapping approach based on a systematic literature review. Data were retrieved from the Crossref database through the Publish or Perish application using predefined keywords related to organizational communication and Pencak Silat for the period 2020–2025. The retrieved publications were analyzed using VOSviewer to identify publication trends, thematic clusters, and the intellectual structure of the research field. The findings indicate that existing studies are dominated by themes of leadership, organisational culture, and athlete performance, while research explicitly examining internal and leadership communication within Pencak Silat organizations remains limited. These results highlight important research gaps and provide directions for future organisational communication studies within the context of culturally rooted martial arts organizations.

Abstract

Mental health issues in Indonesia have become an increasingly critical public health concern, with approximately one in five individuals experiencing mental disorders. This study aims to redesign the interior of Marzoeki Mahdi Mental Hospital in Bogor using a salutogenic approach, focusing on health promotion and well-being rather than illness-centered treatment. Salutogenesis is based on the Sense of Coherence (SOC), consisting of comprehensibility, manageability, and meaningfulness as determinants of a supportive healing environment. This study applies a qualitative design method through field surveys, direct observation, and literature review, structured using the Rosemary Kilmer design process (analysis and synthesis stages). The redesign focuses on five functional spaces: registration area, doctor’s room, psychiatric consultation room, inpatient room, and group therapy room, with a minimum design area of 500 m². The proposed design optimizes natural lighting and ventilation, access to green open spaces, privacy management, ergonomic layouts, and calming materials and colors. The redesign creates a more humane, safe, and emotionally supportive environment, reducing stigma and fostering holistic recovery.

Abstract

This study evaluated the effects of growing media and rabbit urine liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) concentrations on the growth and yield of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) in Klaten Regency, Indonesia. A factorial completely randomized design tested three growing media (cow, goat, and chicken manure mixed with fermented rice husk at a 1:1 ratio) and three LOF concentrations (10, 20, and 30 mL L⁻¹). Plant height, leaf number, fresh weight, and root weight were measured and analyzed using ANOVA followed by Duncan’s multiple range test (α = 0.05). Growing media had no significant effect on any parameter. LOF concentration significantly increased leaf number but did not affect plant height, fresh weight, or root weight, and no interaction effects were detected. These results indicate that rabbit urine LOF primarily promotes vegetative leaf development rather than overall biomass accumulation in mustard greens.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of positive emotions in mediating the effects of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and sales promotion on impulsive Robux purchasing in the Roblox application. This research employed a quantitative approach using path analysis. Data were collected from 251 Roblox users. The t-test results indicate that FOMO, sales promotion, and positive emotions each have a positive and significant partial effect on impulsive buying. Simultaneously, these three variables explain 75.8% of the variance in impulsive buying. The path analysis findings reveal that the direct effects of FOMO and sales promotion are stronger than their indirect effects through positive emotions. Thus, while positive emotions significantly mediate the relationship between the independent variables and impulsive buying, their role is not dominant. Impulsive purchasing among Roblox users is primarily driven by direct impulses stemming from the fear of missing out on trends and the attractiveness of sales promotions.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an ethnoscience-based physics learning model that is valid, practical, and effective in strengthening students’ character of love for the homeland. The background of this research is the need for contextual physics learning that integrates local wisdom to enhance students’ conceptual understanding while supporting character education. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects of the study were senior high school students and physics teachers. Data were collected using expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and an instrument to assess students’ patriotism character. The results showed that the developed learning model achieved a very valid category with an average validation score of 4.39. The practicality test indicated very practical criteria, with teacher and student response percentages of 86.4% and 85.0%, respectively. Model effectiveness was measured through a pretest–posttest analysis of students' increase in patriotism on a 1–5 Likert scale across all patriotism indicators. The normalized gain (N-Gain) was 0.52, indicating a moderate improvement. These findings indicate that the ethnoscience-based physics learning model is feasible and effective as an innovative approach to physics learning that integrates local culture and strengthens students’ character of love for the homeland.

Abstract

This study reviews the transformation of digital marketing strategies in the modern entrepreneurial ecosystem through a comprehensive literature review of publications from 2021 to 2025. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied to analyze 40–50 scholarly sources retrieved from Google Scholar, Scopus, ProQuest, and ScienceDirect using thematic content analysis. The findings indicate a rapid acceleration of digital marketing transformation following the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting seven key strategic components: digital presence, digital competence, data analytics, financial technology, e-commerce platforms, technological innovation, and digital literacy. Digital transformation emerges as a critical determinant of entrepreneurial performance, enhancing operational efficiency and market expansion. However, significant challenges persist, including limited digital literacy, restricted access to capital, and insufficient regulatory support. The study also identifies opportunities for business model innovation and sustainable entrepreneurship. The findings emphasize the importance of synergistic integration among digital marketing components and cross-sector collaboration to strengthen the digital entrepreneurial ecosystem and support inclusive and sustainable economic development.
