Abstract

This study examines the factors influencing Generation Y’s intention to adopt ePayment services, using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework. The study involved 200 Generation Y respondents. The variables tested includeperceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived risk, and subjectivenorms. Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) analysisrevealed that all variables significantly influence the intention to adopt ePayment. The findings indicate that perceived usefulness and ease of use havethe most substantial impact, reflecting the importance of efficient and accessiblesystems for users. Conversely, perceived risk, particularly concerning securityand privacy, acts as a primary barrier, highlighting the need for more securesystem development. Subjective norms also influence user intentions throughsocial pressures from family, friends, and other significant figures. This studyunderscores the importance of addressing perceived risks, enhancing systemusability, and leveraging social influence to promote e-Payment adoption amongGeneration Y. The findings offer strategic insights for technology developers, policymakers, and marketers to optimise e-Payment implementation and userengagement.

Abstract

The culinary industry, especially dimsum products in Indonesia, is experiencingrapid growth, which is accompanied by increasing public demand for deliciousand practical ready-to-eat food. This study aims to optimize dimsum productionprofits in a successful dimsum shop in Bogor, West Java, by using linearprograms and simplex methods. By analyzing data obtained from interviews andobservations, it can be known the factors that affect decision-making, the goalsto be achieved, and the limitations faced in production activities. This studyprovides guidance for Toko Dimsum Sukses to make the most of resources andincrease profitability, although there are some limitations, such as linearityassumptions and external variables that are not considered. This study revealsthat to achieve a maximum daily profit (Zmax) of Rp.19,800,000, a successfuldimsum shop needs to produce original dimsum (X1) 120 times and dimsummentai (X2) 1120 times.

Abstract

The creation of profits is necessary in order to distribute dividends to shareholders after investment. Previous studies focused on dividend payments and macroeconomic conditions. The aim of this paper is to investigate the connection between profitability and dividend pay-out in Tanzanian industrial companies that are listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE). The study used a panel data research design and a quantitative technique. The research conducted from 2009 to 2023, 105 firm-year data points from seven industry categories were analyzed. The study was to compile significance data through documentary review. Panel data regression was used to evaluate the research data both descriptively and inferentially. The findings of the research showed a strong positive association (P < 0.005) between manufacturing firms' profitability and dividend payout. All things considered; the findings indicate that industrial enterprises listed on the DSE are primarily motivated by profit. The study suggests that manufacturing companies should raise their profitability to attract more capital and raise the dividend payment ratio.

Abstract

This article examines China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) as a strategicinstrument in its efforts to challenge the existing hegemonic order in the IndoPacific region. Amid growing geopolitical rivalry, particularly with the UnitedStates and its allies, China has employed the BRI not merely as an economicdevelopment scheme, but as a tool of influence projection, regional integration, and soft power consolidation. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach andcritical geopolitical analysis, this study explores how China’s BRI projects ranging from infrastructure development to digital connectivity are reshapingregional power dynamics. The research finds that China’s approach blendseconomic diplomacy with strategic interest, fostering dependencies andinfluence in key Indo-Pacific states. However, the implementation of BRI alsoencounters resistance in the form of debt-trap diplomacy allegations, environmental critiques, and counter-initiatives like the U.S.-led Indo-PacificStrategy. The article concludes that the BRI is central to China’s vision of aSinocentric order, signaling a shift from unipolar to multipolar geopoliticalcompetition in the Indo-Pacific.

Abstract

This study explores the relationship between job stress, workload, and turnoverintention among male and female employees at PT. Matahari Department StoreTbk, Medan. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 133employees through validated questionnaires measuring turnover intention, jobstress, and workload. The study employed multiple linear regression analysisusing SPSS Statistics 25 to examine the influence of the independent variables. The findings reveal that both job stress and workload significantly affectemployees' turnover intention. Job stress has a positive and significant effect witha beta coefficient of 0.511 (p = 0.000), while workload also shows a significantpositive effect with a beta coefficient of 0.473 (p = 0.000). The regression modeldemonstrates a strong explanatory power, with an adjusted R² value of 0.941,indicating that 94% of the variance in turnover intention is explained by job stressand workload. The remaining 6% is attributed to other unmeasured factors. Theseresults underscore the need for organizations to address workplace stressors andmanage workloads effectively to reduce employee turnover, especially whenconsidering gender-related experiences in the work environment
