Abstract

Contemporary Islamic education faces challenges in the form of a dichotomy between religious science and general science, weak character development, and the demand for adaptation to the development of science and technology. Muhammadiyah responds to these challenges through the concept of the Education Trilogy which emphasizes the integration of faith, knowledge, and charity as a paradigm of progressive Islamic education. This research aims to analyze the basic concept of the Muhammadiyah Education Trilogy, its form of integration in educational practices, and its differences with the paradigm of secular education and traditional Islamic education. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research. Data were obtained from academic books, national and international journal articles, as well as relevant scientific sources that discuss Islamic education, Muhammadiyah education, and contemporary education issues. Data analysis is carried out through content analysis techniques. The results of the study show that the trilogy of faith, science, and charity is a holistic foundation that forms a balance between the spiritual, intellectual, and social dimensions of students. Faith functions as the foundation of values and ethical orientation, science as a means of developing thinking capacity and mastery of science and technology, while charity is a real actualization of faith and science in the form of morals and social actions. Compared to secular education which tends to emphasize cognitive aspects and traditional education that is less responsive to the dynamics of the times, Muhammadiyah education offers an integrative, contextual, and transformative approach. Thus, the Muhammadiyah Education Trilogy has strong relevance as an Islamic education paradigm that is able to answer the challenges of modern education and encourage the realization of progressive Islamic civilization.

Abstract

Islamic education is not only oriented towards academic achievement, but also towards the holistic formation of students' personalities, especially in spiritual and psychological aspects. At the senior high school level, students are in a phase of self-identity search that is prone to decreased learning motivation and a crisis of meaning in life. This condition highlights the importance of an educational approach that can instill meaningful basic values. One such approach is the internalization of monotheistic values in Islamic Religious Education. This study aims to analyze the process of internalizing monotheistic values in Islamic Religious Education at Senior High School identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and examine its implications for strengthening students' self-esteem. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through interviews with students and documentation studies, then analyzed thematically. The results show that the internalization of monotheistic values occurs through the stages of understanding, appreciation, and practice of values in learning and school culture. Supporting factors include religious habits, role models among educators, and contextual learning, while normative approaches and the influence of the social-digital environment are inhibiting factors. The internalization of monotheistic values has implications for strengthening intrinsic learning motivation, psychological resilience, and students' ability to interpret the purpose of learning and life in a more meaningful way.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought a major revolution in the global education system. This technology is not only changing the way the teaching and learning process is being taught but also demands a more in-depth ethical review, especially when it is associated with the religious values that are the moral foundation of the world's society. This article aims to systematically examine the integration of religious ethical values in AI-based education, identify the main challenges in its implementation, and evaluate the extent to which this practice can improve the quality of learning and skills of students in the digital era. This study uses the latest international literature review approach and applies critical analysis to current empirical findings. Emphasis is placed on issues such as algorithmic bias, data privacy, student autonomy, and the alignment between AI-based learning mechanisms and the moral principles taught by various religious traditions. The findings suggest that while AI offers great opportunities for personalization and educational effectiveness, without an established framework of religious ethics, the use of this technology has the potential to undermine human values, dignity, and spiritual wisdom This article concludes with practical recommendations for the development of AI-based educational methodologies that are responsive to the demands of religious ethics as well as presenting a further research agenda to strengthen the integration of spiritual values in future educational technologies.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of Islamic education ethics in the 21st century through a sociological perspective, with a focus on the framework of Muhammadiyah educational thought and practice. In the context of globalization and massive digital disruption, Islamic education faces sociological challenges in the form of a shift in values towards materialism, a crisis of digital morality, and a weakening of social cohesion. The method used is qualitative descriptive with a literature study approach, which includes a systematic synthesis of academic literature, Muhammadiyah policy documents, and classical and contemporary sociological theories to analyze the interaction between social structure and educational value systems. The results of the study show that sociologically, Islamic education not only functions as a transfer of religious knowledge, but also as an agent of the integration of moral values that maintains order and social solidarity in an increasingly rational and individualistic society. Muhammadiyah responds to the challenges of the 21st century by actualizing Al-Ma'un Theology which emphasizes social sensitivity and the principle of Tajdid (renewal), so that educational institutions remain adaptive to technology without losing their spiritual identity. Muhammadiyah's educational ethics consistently internalize the values of honesty, trust, and moderation (Wasathiyah) to form the character of students who have moral integrity and global competence. The findings of this study confirm that the relevance of Muhammadiyah education lies in its ability to harmonize intellectual progress with universal responsibility and welfare. Strengthening Islamic ethics through a sociological approach is crucial for Muhammadiyah in producing a generation of "Progressive Insan" who are able to face the social complexities of the 21st century while still adhering to essential prophetic values.

Abstract

This research was conducted because the interest of the Muslim community in sharia-based home financing, namely Islamic Home Financing (IHF), is still low. Although most of Indonesia's population is Muslim and the need to own a home continues to increase, there is still a gap between house prices and people's incomes. In addition, people tend to consider sharia financing more expensive and complicated, so they prefer conventional financing methods. This study aims to analyze how the influence of religiosity and financial factors on the intention of the community in using Islamic Home Financing (IHF) in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method. The data obtained was 661 respondents who already knew about sharia housing financing. The variables used are Sharia Compliance, Social Influence, Perceived Financial Benefit, Perceived Affordability, Religiosity, and Trust on the intention to use IHF. The results showed that Sharia Compliance, Social Influence, Perceived Financial Benefit, and Trust had a positive and significant influence on the intention to use IHF, while Perceived Affluence and Religiosity did not have a positive and significant effect. These findings show that the community's decision in choosing sharia home financing is based more on the level of trust and suitability of the product with sharia principles, rather than only being influenced by their personal level of religiosity.

Abstract

The advancement of global digital technology has driven fundamental changes in the education sector, thus demanding the adaptation of all elements of society to remain relevant in the era of disruption. In this context, Muhammadiyah as an Islamic movement that focuses on da'wah, education, and health has a strategic role in bridging the digital divide in Indonesia, especially in the education sector. Although internet penetration in Indonesia continues to increase, digital inequality still occurs, especially in the 3T area, which has an impact on the quality of education in Muhammadiyah schools. This research aims to identify opportunities and challenges in the implementation of digitalization of Muhammadiyah education, with an emphasis on the success of digitalization and inclusive education policies. Based on a qualitative descriptive literature study, it was found that the success of digitalization is greatly influenced by technological readiness, equitable distribution of infrastructure, and human resource competence. Digitalization also has the potential to improve accessibility and quality of learning through the use of digital platforms that are more personalized, collaborative, and interactive. The main challenges faced include infrastructure inequality and limited digital skills of educators, especially in remote areas. Therefore, the strategy to optimize the digitization of Muhammadiyah education needs to include infrastructure improvement, continuous training for teachers, and collaboration with the government and the private sector to build an inclusive and quality digital education ecosystem.

Abstract

This study examines efforts to integrate Islamic values with the use of digital technology in Islamic Religious Education in the digital era. The focus of the study is on the role of technology in supporting the internalization of faith, morals, and spirituality among students, as well as identifying various challenges that arise in the implementation of value-based digital learning. This study uses a qualitative approach through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by analyzing scientific publications from 2021 to 2026 obtained from academic databases such as Google Scholar, DOAJ, and accredited national journals. The analysis was conducted through thematic synthesis to map conceptual trends, pedagogical approaches, and issues related to the integration of Islamic values and digital technology. The results of the study show that effective integration requires a balance between strengthening digital literacy and internalizing Islamic values, implementing human-centered and ethics-based learning, and strengthening the role of educators as value guides. The main challenges identified include a technocratic orientation of learning, limitations in educators' pedagogical and digital literacy competencies, the influence of a digital environment that is not in harmony with Islamic values, and the lack of a systematic conceptual framework. This study emphasizes the importance of developing a value-based conceptual model as a foundation for strengthening Islamic religious education that is adaptive to technological developments and oriented towards shaping the character of students
