Abstract

Abstract

The culinary industry faces increasingly complex marketing communication challenges in the digital era, where business practitioners are required to develop creative and persuasive ideas to attract consumer attention amid intense competition. This research aims to analyse culinary business marketing communication strategies in creating persuasive, creative ideas to enhance attractiveness and communication effectiveness. The research method employs a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach, analysing 15 previous studies within the last five years that discuss marketing communication strategies in the culinary business context. Research findings indicate that effective marketing communication strategies integrate digital approaches through social media, particularly Instagram, with the utilisation of persuasive elements such as influencers, social proof, and aesthetic visual content. Creative ideas prove to be primary differentiators in creating profound cognitive and affective experiences, while empowerment of local values and traditional identity becomes important competitive capital. Implementation of strategic planning models such as SOSTAC, SWOT, and IMC enables systematic and measurable communication. Post-COVID-19 digital transformation strengthens the importance of social media-based personal selling with responsive and empathetic approaches. Research conclusions demonstrate that the success of modern culinary marketing communication strategies lies in the ability to create authentic narratives, build emotional engagement with consumers, and adapt digital technology without losing brand identity. The combination of innovative creative ideas, strategic social media usage, and local value integration becomes an effective formula for building competitive advantage in the dynamic culinary industry.

Abstract

Cibodas Tourism Park is a popular natural tourist destination in West Java with the potential to develop the Muslim-Friendly Tourism (MWT) concept, given the high number of Muslim tourists visiting. However, the destination currently lacks official MWT certification, necessitating a study to determine the level of implementation of the concept based on tourist perceptions. This study aims to analyse the implementation of MWT across four main dimensions: accessibility, communication, supporting environment, and services, and to measure their significance against the neutral category standard. The research method used was a descriptive quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires from 100 tourist respondents. Data were analysed using a one-sample t-test with a benchmark value of 3 (the "sufficient" category). The results showed that the overall average score of tourists' perceptions of MWT at Cibodas Tourism Park was 3.98, with a significance value <0.05, significantly above the neutral category. Specifically, the accessibility dimension scored 4.02; communication 3.95; supporting environment 3.91; and service 4.05. These data indicate that the available facilities and services are sufficient to accommodate the needs of Muslim tourists, although improvements are still needed in terms of promotion, the addition of halal facilities, and the strengthening of tourism information. These findings indicate that Cibodas Tourism Park has significant potential to be developed as a leading Muslim-Friendly Tourism destination in West Java.

Abstract

Halal tourism is a rapidly growing sector globally, with Muslim tourist trips projected to reach 230 million by 2028, according to the 2023 Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI). Indonesia, as a predominantly Muslim country, has significant potential to develop halal-compliant tourist destinations, including West Java, which boasts rich tourism potential. One such destination is the Summarecon Modern Market, renowned for its beauty and uniqueness. This study aims to analyse the potential of the Summarecon Modern Market as a halal tourism destination based on four GMTI indicators: accessibility, communication, environment, and services. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative case study approach, where data were collected through in-depth interviews with managers, tourists, and vendors, as well as direct on-site observation. The results indicate that the Summarecon Modern Market excels in accessibility with easy transportation and ample parking facilities, a clean environment, and friendly and responsive service. However, there are still shortcomings in the communication of halal information, which has not been communicated strategically, and the low number of vendors with halal certification. Based on these findings, strengthening halal literacy among business actors, improving public information regarding halal facilities, and implementing halal certification assistance programs are needed to enhance the competitiveness of Summarecon Modern Market in the national and global halal tourism markets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the development strategy for marine-based creative tourism products in the Bangka Belitung Islands and to assess the destination's feasibility and competitiveness. Bangka Belitung has significant potential for marine tourism, yet integration with the creative economy remains suboptimal. The research method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis techniques include SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) and 4A component analysis (Attraction, Accessibility, Amenity, Ancillary). The results indicate that Bangka Belitung is highly competitive in natural attractions but requires improvement in amenities and in creative product packaging. The recommended strategy involves strengthening local community-based creative industries and improving digital infrastructure to enhance destination competitiveness. This synergy is expected to transform the mining-based economy into a sustainable tourism economy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of mangrove conservation programs on environmental quality within the ecotourism destinations of Bintan Regency. Given the rapid growth of tourism, maintaining ecological balance has become critical. Utilising a quantitative causal associative approach, the research involved a sample of 76 respondents from a total population of 304 visitors and stakeholders. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and processed using simple linear regression. The findings demonstrate a significant positive effect, as indicated by the regression equation Y = 25.763 + 0.299X. Statistical analysis yielded a t-value of 4.149, exceeding the t-table threshold of 1.990 (p < 0.05), which confirms that conservation initiatives effectively enhance habitat quality. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.189, indicating that conservation efforts explain 18.9% of the improvement in environmental quality, with other external factors accounting for the remainder. The study concludes that integrating reforestation with ecotourism education is vital for sustaining Bintan's coastal ecosystem.

Abstract

The shift towards sustainable tourism aims to balance ecological preservation and local economic benefits. Buwun Mas Village in Lombok possesses immense natural potential, including pristine savannas and mangrove ecosystems. However, this potential is currently threatened by structural and institutional barriers. This study aims to evaluate the development potential of Buwun Mas's natural attractions and formulate a sustainable tourism management strategy. This research employed a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design. Data were systematically collected through in-depth interviews with key local stakeholders, moderate participant observation assessing the fundamental tourism components, and document analysis. The results indicate that, while the natural attractions are highly competitive, poor road accessibility and inadequate basic amenities severely limit tourists' length of stay and the resulting economic multiplier effects. Furthermore, the local Tourism Awareness Group faces significant institutional challenges, including a lack of independent financial capacity, limited digital marketing literacy, and a lack of strategic external partnerships. Consequently, the gap in strict local environmental regulations has led to physical degradation, such as savanna erosion caused by illegal off-road activities. In conclusion, transforming Buwun Mas into a sustainable tourism destination cannot rely solely on its natural beauty. It necessitates a collaborative intervention where the regional government must prioritise fundamental infrastructure development, while the village authority must immediately enact binding ecological conservation regulations to prevent future exploitation.
