Abstract

In order to survive in the food and beverage (F&B) industry in this modern era, one of the most strategic ways is to expose the brand through social media and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). This research paper aims to investigate the impact of social media and KOLs on purchasing behaviour in the Malaysian food and beverage industry. The quantitative research method was applied and a survey questionnaire via Google Forms was distributed to samples consist of 120 consumers in Malaysia. The findings showed that social media and KOLs significantly affect the consumers' purchasing behaviour in Malaysia's F&B industry. However, KOLs are more influential than social media in stimulating purchasing behaviour in the F&B industry among Malaysian. Accordingly, F&B businesses is strongly suggested to develop their brand existences in social media, including creating engaging and informative content, responding promptly to customer feedback, and building a loyal following of brand advocates. By leveraging social media analytics, businesses in the food and beverage industry can gain more insights related to customer behaviour and preferences to enhance their marketing strategies and product offerings.

Abstract

The Indonesian government has the goal of protecting the entire Indonesian nation during the Covid-19. Regional governments, especially state officials in the regions, make policies to save people in the regions by using existing budgets within the regional government. In Law Number 2 of 2020, the policy is that the regional government allocates funds for dealing with Covid-19. The regional government’s policy, which is essentially to save society in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, is not in line with society’s expectations. The public considers that the policies issued by the Regional Government are not on target, so many people think that these policies are projects from the government that take advantage of the non-natural disaster COVID-19. State officials in the regions sometimes interpret discretion in government affairs, especially in handling. The non-natural disaster COVID-19 has implications for abuse of authority and arbitrariness, as well as exceeding authority in carrying out government duties. Problems that occur in the regions relate to policy aspects used by state officials in the regions in handling the non-natural disaster Covid-19 which gives rise to criminal acts of corruption.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the average IQ score of the Indonesian population in order to provide a more accurate basis for setting reasonable IQ targets in the employee recruitment process. The research method used is descriptive quantitative and comparative quantitative research with cross-sectional and convenience sampling methods. A pilot test of the instrument was conducted to ensure the reliability and validity of the scale used, and the results showed a high level of reliability (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.935). Descriptive analysis involved respondents' profiles, demographics, and IQ scores, while cross tabulation analysis was conducted for demographic variables such as gender, province, age, and education level against IQ scores. T-test results showed significant differences in IQ scores by age group, education level, and province. Although previous findings indicated a difference in average IQ between men and women, further analysis of this study's data showed that there was no significant difference in IQ scores between the sexes. These results highlight the complexity of factors that influence intelligence and challenge previous findings of IQ differences between men and women.

Abstract

Analysis of differences in the income of street vendors during the pandemic and after the Covid-19 pandemic was analyzed using the paired sample t test method using the SPSS 27 for Windows program. Data analysis was carried out in two stages, first as a requirement to perform paired sample t test analysis. The second is to test the research hypothesis, for the analysis requirements in the form of a data normality test, the data normality test uses the One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test. All parametric assumption tests were performed at a significance value of 5%. The results of the analysis in this study show that the total production during the Covid-19 pandemic was 2,876 units/day. Meanwhile, the post-pandemic production amounted to 6,068 units/day. Total income during the Covid-19 pandemic was IDR 122,591,634/month. Meanwhile, the total income after the Covid-19 pandemic was IDR 396,852,124/month. After testing using the SPSS-27 program, it shows that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < α = 0.05. Then reject the hypothesis H0 and accept the hypothesis H1. Thus, statistically there is a significant difference in the income of street vendors in Yahim Village, Yabansai District, Jayapura City during the pandemic and after the Covid-19 pandemic. This means that street vendors' income has increased after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The complex interaction between formal legal systems and indigenous local wisdom in managing forest and land fires in Central Kalimantan highlights the need for a nuanced regulatory approach. This study aims to explore how local wisdom is integrated into the formal legal framework governing forest and land fires by indigenous communities in the region. Conducted from September 2023 to April 2024, the research employed qualitative methods, including purposive sampling through interviews, observations, and field studies on local wisdom, focusing on community members and government agencies in Gunung Mas and Murung Raya regencies. The findings reveal that legal decisions concerning forest and land fires must incorporate the deep-rooted traditions and practices of indigenous communities, particularly those of the Dayak people. Their traditional agricultural practices and rituals, including pre-land use ceremonies, are integral to land management and fire prevention. This study concludes that aligning legal frameworks with local wisdom not only respects cultural heritage but also enhances the effectiveness of fire management policies. The implications suggest that policies should integrate traditional practices to create a more adaptive and sustainable legal system
