Abstract

Public speaking is an essential skill that should be mastered by all individuals, including middle school students, as it is valuable not only in academic settings but also in social and professional contexts. This community service initiative aims to enhance public speaking skills and boost the confidence of middle school students through a combination of presentation and role-playing methods. The training consisted of a series of sessions where students were given opportunities to prepare and deliver structured presentations, as well as practice speaking in simulated, real-life scenarios. The results of the program showed significant improvement in both the verbal and non-verbal communication skills of the students. Those who initially lacked confidence became more capable of organizing effective presentations, utilizing appropriate body language, and responding to their audience effectively. Additionally, the training helped students overcome anxiety associated with public speaking, increasing their courage to speak in front of others. While some students may still require a more personalized approach, the overall methods proved to be effective in developing public speaking skills. This training is expected to provide long-term benefits in students' soft skill development and could serve as a sustainable program within schools.

Abstract

Pro coffee is a coffee drink enriched with B.cereus consortium bacteria. Bacillus cereus is a single cell protein that is rich in protein. This program aims to develop student entrepreneurial activities by implementing the results of previous research, namely utilizing probiotic bacteria for healthy coffee entrepreneurship by adding probiotic bacteria to coffee drinks. The method used to provide lectures and practices about professional coffee processing to students involved in this service. This service activity is carried out in four stages, namely: Training and Competency Improvement. Training and competency improvement activities are carried out as an effort to increase the knowledge and competence of Partners and students in processing Pro coffee. The results of the service show that students are able to improve: 1) Knowledge of making media for developing probiotic bacteria so that they are suitable for human consumption; 2) Making probiotic starter (Bacillus cereus SN7); 3) Pro coffee making; 4) Pro coffee packaging; and 5) Marketing of pro coffee products.

Abstract

Senang Hati Village is one of the villages located in Malingping District, Lebak Regency, Banten. This village has a superior product, one of which is coconut trees. The lack of community skills in utilizing existing potential causes coconut waste to have no value, even its selling value is very cheap, so that the surrounding community leaves the waste which can automatically pollute the surrounding environment and become useless waste. This is the main problem in Senang Hati Village, apart from the lack of community knowledge about the benefits of waste, the community has also never received socialization and coaching from the Lebak Regency Tourism and Creative Economy Office. The purpose of this Community Service is to empower the Senang Hati village community to be able to manage and utilize waste so that the waste can have economic value, through coconut waste processing training activities. The solution to the problem used in this community service activity is the Empowerment approach. The strategy used is training and mentoring for the community, especially PKK mothers and Karang Taruna members to develop environmentally friendly and sustainable businesses. The expected output of this PKM activity is to increase the insight and skills of the Senang Hati village community regarding the processing and utilization of coconut tree waste. The results and impacts on partners are the growth of awareness and changes in attitudes to maintain a clean and healthy environment by utilizing waste that has economic potential, intelligently, creatively and innovatively and increasing the economic income of village communities through waste processing activities that have economic value.

Abstract

Compensation is the most important thing that must be considered by the company with compensation, it will increase employee motivation. It can be seen that compensation is something that is received by employees in return for their services to the company in the form of salaries, allowances, incentives, and facilities. Work motivation is a condition that encourages or causes someone to do something or an activity that takes place consciously and aims to improve work performance. With good motivation, every employee who does the job will be excited and happy to do the job, so that the higher the enthusiasm and drive to work. This study aims to determine how compensation partially and simultaneously affects employee work motivation at CV Satu Atap Communication Medan. The population and sample in this study were 30 employees with saturated sample technique. Data collection techniques through observation and questionnaire distribution. The data analysis technique used is the Multiple Linear Regression analysis method. Partial test results for the salary variable (X1) obtained tcount> ttable (2.290> 1.708) with a significance value smaller than the 0.05 level (0.031 <0.05), this means that salary (X1) has a positive and significant effect on work motivation (Y). For the allowance variable (X2), it is obtained tcount> ttable (2.419> 1.708) with a significance value smaller than the 0.05 level (0.031<0.05), this means that salary (X1) has a positive and significant effect on work motivation (Y). With a fairly high level of determination, indicated by an adjusted R-square of 0.626. This value shows that salary, allowances, incentives and facilities contribute 62.2% to the work motivation of CV Satu Atap Communication Medan employees. While the remaining 37.4% is influenced by other variables not examined by this study.

Abstract

Currently, environmentally friendly tourism activities have become the most popular trend among tourists worldwide. This has led various tourism elements to innovate by implementing green or environmentally friendly programs. Likewise, the hotel industry, as accommodation for tourists, has adopted various green or environmentally friendly programs to meet tourists' expectations. Designing, promoting, pricing, and distributing products or programs that do not harm the environment is called Green Marketing. Thus, the implementation of green programs by hotels through green marketing, both directly and indirectly, will influence visitors' decisions to stay. This study aims to determine the effect of green marketing on consumer decisions to stay at HARRIS Resort Waterfront Batam. The study covers three dimensions of green marketing, namely green product, green promotion, and green price, using a quantitative research method that includes validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, hypothesis testing (t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination analysis). The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS version 26 program with a sample size of 100 respondents. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and online questionnaire distribution. Based on the research results, both partially and simultaneously, green marketing (green product, green promotion, and green price) has a positive and significant effect on the decision to stay. The adjusted R square value shows that the influence of green marketing on the decision to stay is 67.9%, while the remaining 32.1% is influenced by other variables not identified in this study, with the most influential dimension being green price. Therefore, this study proves that the application of green marketing has a positive and significant influence on the decision to stay at HARRIS Resort Waterfront Batam.

Abstract

One of the factors that supports the quality of vocational high school graduates needed by industry is how broad the knowledge of the latest technology is mastered by a teacher. On the other hand, there is still a gap between the developing technology and the level of mastery possessed by teachers. The competency standards possessed by teachers should ideally continue to increase along with technological developments. One indicator is the ownership of a teacher competency certificate in the automotive expertise field at the vocational school level. Therefore, efforts need to be made to develop a teacher's abilities. The method used is through training and workshops. The results of this community service activity were that most participants showed a significant increase in their understanding and skills in hybrid control systems, including theoretical and applied aspects. Teachers who took part in the training are now better prepared to implement hybrid technology in the learning process, supporting the transfer of knowledge to students better and more effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse strategies for improving digital literacy in primary school students through training in the use of technology-based learning applications. Digital literacy is an essential skill in today's digital era, where the ability to understand and use technology effectively is one of the keys to educational success. Using the literature study method, this research examines various educational technology approaches and applications that can improve digital literacy. The findings show that training in the use of learning applications, such as e-learning platforms, educational games and video-based applications, can improve students' digital literacy skills. In addition, the involvement of teachers as facilitators in the technology-based learning process is a key factor in the success of the training.

Abstract

This research aims to help Gogos food businesses in the process of obtaining halal certification through Community Service activities. The Community Service was conducted with a participatory approach, involving the food businesses as active partners throughout the process. The first step was to coordinate and discuss the issues and the urgency of halal certification. Then, a problem-solving discussion was conducted to find joint solutions to overcome the obstacles faced by the food businesses. During the education sessions, the food businesses were provided with information about the importance of halal certification, the steps for obtaining it, and the requirements to be fulfilled. The Community Service team also assisted the businesses in the registration process and the implementation of the Halal Product Process (PPH) by the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH). The evaluation results showed an increase in awareness and knowledge among the food business owners regarding the urgency of halal certification.

Abstract

Job satisfaction is a crucial aspect that companies must pay attention to. An individual's dissatisfaction with their job can strongly drive turnover. Turnover Intention is the degree of tendency or attitude an employee has to seek a new job elsewhere or plan to leave the company. This study aims to investigate the partial and simultaneous influence of job satisfaction factors on employee turnover intention at CV Satu Atap. Multiple regression analysis is used to analyze data from 30 respondents, with independent variables including job, salary/wages, recognition, and work environment, and the dependent variable being turnover intention. The results of the analysis show that, partially, the four job satisfaction factors (job, salary/wages, recognition, and work environment) significantly negatively affect turnover intention. Simultaneously, the independent variables collectively explain the variation in turnover intention with a fairly high level of determination, as indicated by the adjusted R-square. The implications of these findings highlight the importance for companies to improve employee job satisfaction, particularly through fair salary/wage policies, adequate recognition, a conducive work environment, and increasing job satisfaction to reduce turnover intention.

Abstract

In organizing events, especially sport events, organizers need to pay attention to the factors of service quality, price, and facilities. These three factors can enhance participant satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality, price, and facilities on participant satisfaction at Digi Zumba Bandung 2023. This research is quantitative in nature. The data collection method involved distributing questionnaires to 89 respondents, with the number of respondents determined using saturated sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine the influence of each independent variable on the dependent variable using SPSS software version 20 in 2024. The results of this study indicate that service quality (X1) has a partially positive and significant effect on the satisfaction of Digi Zumba Bandung 2023 participants with a t-value of 3,231. The t-test results for price (X2) show a partially positive and significant effect on the satisfaction of Digi Zumba Bandung 2023 participants with a t-value of 3,240. The t-test results for facilities (X3) also show a partially positive and significant effect on the satisfaction of Digi Zumba Bandung 2023 participants with a t-value of 2,271. Furthermore, the F-test results indicate that service quality (X1), price (X2), and facilities (X3) simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the satisfaction of Digi Zumba Bandung 2023 participants with an F-value of [insert F-value 27,547. Additionally, the determination (R2) results show that service quality (X1), price (X2), and facilities (X3) can influence the satisfaction of Digi Zumba Bandung 2023 participants by 47.5%, and the remaining 52.5% can be explained by other factors not examined in this study.
