Abstract

Medan City is currently designated as one of the 20 national tourism destinations that implement Sustainable Tourism Development (STD) in Indonesia. The commitment to implement STD nationally is marked by the signing of the text of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of 20 Regional Heads who are committed to implementing STD together with the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism. Furthermore, under the supervision of the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Tourism, 20 existing Regencies / Cities made various improvements in each region so that they were finally eligible for STD certification from the STD international certification body. Medan City itself, through the Medan City Tourism Office, related to the implementation of the STD, has established a number of leading tourism destinations. It is hoped that in the future, Medan City will have tourist destinations that have received STD certification. This research was conducted to formulate a model of implementing sustainable tourism development in Medan with a total sample of 220 people spread over 11 leading tourist destinations in the city of Medan, samples were taken with a purposive random sampling technique. The research variables used include; sustainable management, socio-cultural benefits, economic benefits for the surrounding community, environmental benefits and the application of sustainable tourism. Data analysis was carried out with a structural model of the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the help of Amos 22 software. The results showed that the management aspects, economic aspects, socio-cultural aspects of environmental aspects, and the impact of tourism, directly and indirectly, have a positive effect on the implementation of sustainable tourism in the city of Medan.

Abstract

The human qualities needed by the Indonesian nation in the future are humans who are able to compete with other countries. Obtaining quality human beings will be produced through the implementation of quality education. This study aims to determine the effect of organizational climate, work motivation and job satisfaction on the performance of lecturers at the Medan State Polytechnic. The population includes all lecturers who have civil servant status, totaling 310 people with a sample of 76 people taken by proportionate random sampling. Data was collected by using interview techniques, questionnaires and documentation studies. The data analysis technique uses Multiple Regression analysis so that it can be seen the influence of organizational climate, work motivation and job satisfaction on lecturer performance either partially or simultaneously. The results of the research show that simultaneously organizational climate, work motivation and job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on lecturer performance. Partially, organizational climate and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on lecturer performance, while job satisfaction has a positive and insignificant effect on lecturer performance.

Abstract

The evolving tourism industry demands that job fairs at Tourism Polytechnics transcend their traditional role of mere job matching. These events now present a unique opportunity to craft positive and holistic experiences that benefit both job seekers and employers, thereby contributing to the overall enhancement of the tourism workforce. The significance of this shift is underscored by the recognition that job seekers today are not solely in pursuit of employment; they aspire to gain industry insights, access career development avenues, and establish connections with seasoned professionals. This research adopts a robust mixed-methods approach, integrating surveys, interviews, and observational data gathered at tourism polytechnic job fairs. The study's findings illuminate the criticality of cultivating a positive and enriching experience at Tourism Polytechnic job fairs. The research underscores the necessity of establishing a welcoming and informative environment, fostering meaningful dialogues between job seekers and employers, and presenting career development resources that resonate with the aspirations of attendees. The data also brings to light certain challenges, such as the need to bolster employer participation and refine post-event follow-up mechanisms. In conclusion, the research culminates in the assertion that tourism polytechnic job fairs possess the capacity to significantly elevate the job-seeking experience by furnishing invaluable resources and avenues for career progression.

Abstract

Religious events are a combination of dogma and information, rituals and appearances, piety and politics, and become habits of religious value which are framed as public spectacles. One of the religious events is the MTQ event. MTQ (Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an) is a competition for reading the Qur'an with mujawwad readings, namely reciting the Al-Qur'an following the legal rules of tajwid, the art of song and sound, and reading with adab recitations. In organizing an event, the important thing that must be considered by the organizers is promotion in order to notify, invite, and remind people about the event being held. The excellence of an event is not only determined by the promotion and also the type of event, but also must be supported by the quality of service. Service quality plays a very important role because it is assessed based on visitor satisfaction. If the service quality is good, the visitors who come will be happy, satisfied, and will revisit the next MTQ event. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of promotion and service quality on visitor satisfaction.This study uses associative quantitative research with a sample of 100 respondents. The analytical method in this study is multiple linear regression with partial hypothesis testing (t test) and simultaneous testing (f test). From the test results of this study it was found that partially the promotion variable had an insignificant effect on visitor satisfaction while the service quality variable had a significant effect on visitor satisfaction. Simultaneously promotion and service quality variables have a significant influence on visitor satisfaction.

Abstract

Srp Ernala Tourism is one of the tourist destinations located in Sukanalu Simbelang village, Karo Regency, North Sumatra. Srp Ernala Tourism Destination not only displays the beauty of the Karo Regency region but displays Karo Regency culture, cleanliness of the place, friendliness of service and provides many facilities to provide tourist comfort when visiting Srp Ernala Tourism. other than facilities, promotion is one of the success factors of a marketing program with promotions that can increase tourist visits. This study aims to determine the effect of facilities and promotions on visiting decisions for MICE Destinations at Srp Ernala Sukanalu Simbelang Tourism. The research was conducted at Srp Ernala Sukanalu Simbelang Tourism which is located in Sukanalu Simbelang Village, Barusjahe District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra in 2023. This research uses quantitative research methods. The population in this study amounted to 100 visitors. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and observations at tourist sites. Data processing techniques include validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, hypothesis testing (t test, f test, and coefficient of determination analysis test (R2). The results of this study indicate that facilities, promotion positively and significantly influence the decision to visit the MICE Destination Srp Ernala Sukanalu Simbelang Tourism. Promotion has the most dominant influence on visitor decisions.

Abstract

Currently, competition is increasingly fierce, especially in service-oriented companies, which are becoming more competitive with numerous firms offering services to the public with varying characteristics. Companies that aim to survive and grow must provide the best quality of service to achieve customer satisfaction. This is in line with service quality theory, which states that a company deemed to be of high quality meets consumer expectations and even exceeds them.This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality and service innovation on customer satisfaction at PT. PLN (Persero) in Kabupaten Pakpak Bharat, specifically in the village of Penaggalen Binanga Boang. The research adopts a quantitative approach, utilizing a saturated sampling method with 98 respondents who are customers of PT PLN (Persero) in Kabupaten Pakpak Bharat, residing in the village of Penaggalen Binanga Boang. Data were collected through online questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS with multiple linear regression analysis.The results indicate that service quality partially and significantly influences customer satisfaction at PT PLN (Persero) in Kabupaten Pakpak Bharat (case study in the village of Penaggalen Binanga Boang). Similarly, service innovation also partially and significantly affects customer satisfaction at PT PLN (Persero) in Kabupaten Pakpak Bharat (case study in the village of Penaggalen Binanga Boang). Both service quality and service innovation together have a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction, with an F-value of 35.261 exceeding the critical F-value of 3.092. The significance value of 0.000 is less than the significance level of 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H0) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H1).

Abstract

The phenomenon of extreme warming has increased public concern for the environment, one of which is reflected in environmentally friendly purchasing behavior. Many companies, including the AMDK brand Aqua, compete to create environmentally friendly products. Aqua's eco-friendly branding attracts attention, especially in the midst of environmental issues. Green brand image and green brand trust are factors that influence consumer purchasing decisions. This study aims to examine the effect of green brand image and green brand trust on purchasing decisions for the Aqua brand bottled water in Medan City. This research uses quantitative research methods with descriptive types. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis using the SPSS version 26 program, involving 90 respondents. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires and literature studies. The results showed that green brand image and green brand trust have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for the Aqua brand bottled water in Medan City, both partially and simultaneously. The results of the study based on the coefficient of determination test show that green brand image and green brand trust are able to explain 48% of the influence of purchasing decisions, while the remaining 52% is explained by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

The increasing increase in technology from year to year is a phenomenon in this research, one of which is the iPhone brand mobile device. The popularity of the iPhone smartphone is because the product is popular and is always available in every urban and inland area. This research aims to analyze the influence of price and product quality on the decision to purchase an iPhone smartphone at the Medan State Polytechnic, especially the Department of Business Administration. Sample selection used the non-probability sampling method, namely incidental sampling technique. The data collection technique was carried out through a questionnaire distributed to 93 respondents who were iPhone smartphone customers. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression with hypothesis testing using the SPSS version 27 program. The research results show that simultaneously price (X1) and product quality (X2) have a positive and significant effect on consumers' purchasing decisions (Y). The research results from the coefficient of determination test (R2) show that the variables Price and Product Quality are able to explain 40.5%, meaning that Price and Product Quality contribute or contribute to the decision to purchase an iPhone smartphone while the remaining 59.5% is influenced by other factors. outside this research.

Abstract

Penelitian yang berjudul “Pengaruh Pemasaran Digital terhadap Peningkatan Penjualan UMKM Today88perfume di Kota Medan” merupakan hasil penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk menjawab pertanyaan tentang Pengaruh Pemasaran Digital terhadap Peningkatan Penjualan UMKM Today88perfume di Kota Medan. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survei. Teknik pengambilan sampel sebanyak 100 orang responden. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang diolah dengan SPSS 25. Analisis data dengan menggunakan Regresi Linear Sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pemasaran Digital berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap Peningkatan Penjualan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai thitung sebesar 4,210 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar >0,001. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan statistik uji simultan terhadap Peningkatan Penjualan, dapat diketahui bahwa Pemasaran Digital berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap Peningkatan Penjualan hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan Fhitung sebesar 30,228 dan nilai signifikansi <0,001. Berdasarkan perhitungan nilai Adjusted R Square sebesar 0,265 atau 26,5% yang berarti hubungan antara variabel Pemasaran Digital (X) terhadap Penjualan (Y) sebesar 26,5%. Sedangkan 73,5% dijelaskan oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini
