Abstract

This study aims to know the effect of job descriptions and job specifications on employee performance at Social Department of Sumbawa District. The type of this study was associative study which aims to determine the effect of job descriptions (X1) and job specifications (X2) on employee performance at Social Department of Sumbawa District. The type of data used was quantitative data obtained directly from primary sources using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The respondents in this study were 32 employees at Social Department of Sumbawa District. Determination of respondents using non-probability sampling techniques with the census sampling method (saturated sampling). The data used in this study was processed using the SPSS application to be analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques, partial hypothesis test (t test), simultaneous hypothesis test (F test), and coefficient of determination test (R2). The results of this study showed that job descriptions and job specifications had a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Social Department of Sumbawa District, both partially and simultaneously. The contribution of job description and job specification in effecting employee performance at Social Department of Sumbawa District was 73.2%, while the remaining of 26.8% was effected by other variables not examined in this study, such as work environment, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of the use of information technology in the field of e-commerce on the income of micro-businesses in Sumbawa District. The type of this study was comparative research which aims to examine the differences in income levels of micro-business actors in Sumbawa District before (X1) and after (X2) the use of information technology in the field of e-commerce. The type of data used in this study is quantitative data obtained from secondary sources through documents or financial report archives found at Butik Yana Sumbawa Besar. The data analysis technique used were two-average difference test consisting of table paired samples statistics, paired samples correlation and paired samples t-test. The results of this study showed that there was a positive and significant difference in the income levels of SMEs in Sumbawa District before and after the implementation of information technology in the field of e-commerce. These results indicate that the use of information technology in the field of e-commerce had a significant impact on the income levels of SMEs in Sumbawa District. It has been proven that the income level of micro business actors in Sumbawa District is higher after utilizing information technology in the field of e-commerce compared to the income level before utilizing information technology in the field of e-commerce.

Abstract

This study This study aims to determine innovative strategies to improve marketing performance in the new normal era. The type of this study was descriptive study which aims to formulate innovative strategies to improve marketing performance in the new normal era. The type of data used in this study was qualitative data obtained directly from primary sources, namely the owner and employees of the Moromesa Sumbawa Besar photo studio, totaling 5 people. The data used in this study were collected using structured interview techniques using a research instrument in the form of an interview guide. Data analysis in this study used SWOT analysis techniques. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis of internal and external factors found in the Moromesa Sumbawa Besar photo studio business, four alternative strategies can be formulated to improve marketing performance in the new normal era, namely the SO strategy (strengths-opportunities), WO strategy (weaknesses-opportunities), ST strategy (strengths-threats) and WT strategy (weaknesses-threats). The priority strategies that can be implemented to improve marketing performance in the new normal era include providing premium services or additional features, offering special promotions and providing more affordable special packages, providing facilities for family photo sessions, product photos, or creative photo sessions with various accessible props and backgrounds, and increasing studio visibility.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the credibility of influencers in influencing consumer purchasing interest in MS Glow skincare products in Sumbawa District. The type of this study was associative study which aims to examine the effect of influencer credibility (X) on consumer purchasing interest in MS Glow skincare products in Sumbawa District (Y). The type of data used in this study was quantitative obtained directly from primary sources using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The respondents in this study were 50 consumers of MS Glow skincare products in Sumbawa District. Determination of respondents in this study used a non-probability sampling technique with the accidental sampling method. The data used in this study was processed using the SPSS application to be analyzed using simple linear regression analysis techniques, partial hypothesis testing (t-test), and coefficient of determination testing (R2). The results of this study indicate that influencer credibility had a positive and significant effect on consumer purchasing interest in MS Glow skincare products in Sumbawa District. The ability of the influencer credibility variable to effect on consumer purchasing interest in MS Glow skincare products in Sumbawa District was 63.5%, while the remaining of 36.5% was effected by other factors not examined in this study, such as price, location, product quality and service quality.

Abstract

This study aims to know the effect of rational motives on customers' decisions to choose gold savings products at PT. Pegadaian (Persero), Tbk. branch of Sumbawa Besar. The type of this study was associative study which aims to examine the effect of rational motives (X) on customers' decisions to choose gold savings products at PT. Pegadaian (Persero), Tbk. branch of Sumbawa Besar (Y). The type of data used in this study was quantitative obtained directly from primary sources using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The respondents in this study were 67 gold savings product customers at PT. Pegadaian (Persero), Tbk., branch of Sumbawa Besar. Determination of respondents in this study used a probability sampling technique with the simple random sampling method. The data used in this study was processed using the SPSS application to be analyzed using simple linear regression analysis techniques, partial hypothesis testing (t-test), and coefficient of determination testing (R2). The results of this study showed that rational motives had a positive and significant effect on customers' decisions to choose gold savings products at PT. Pegadaian (Persero), Tbk. branch of Sumbawa Besar. The ability of rational motives to effect on customers' decisions to choose gold savings products at PT. Pegadaian (Persero), Tbk. branch of Sumbawa Besar was 80.8%, while the remaining of 19.2% was effected by other factors outside this research model, such as customer confidence in the product in question, confidence in references and customer past experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to determine strategies to increase the competitive advantage of MSME products in Sumbawa District through marketing capabilities and market orientation. The type of this study was associative study which aims to examine the effect of marketing capabilities (X1) and market orientation (X2) on the competitive advantage of MSME products in Sumbawa District (Y). The type of data used in this study was quantitative obtained directly from primary sources using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The respondents in this study were 68 MSME actors in Seketeng Village. Determination of respondents in this study used a probability sampling technique with the simple random sampling method. The data used in this study was processed using the SPSS application to be analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques, partial hypothesis testing (t test), simultaneous hypothesis testing (F test), and coefficient of determination testing (R2). The results of this study indicate that marketing capabilities and market orientation had a positive and significant effect on the competitive advantage of MSME products in Sumbawa District, both partially and simultaneously. The contribution of marketing capabilities and market orientation in effecting the competitive advantage of MSME products in Sumbawa District was 41.7%, while the remaining of 58.3% was effected by other variables outside this research model, such as product quality, price, marketing strategy, and regulations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perception of transaction security in influencing online shopping decisions of Sumbawa District people through the Shopee application. The type of this study was associative study which aims to examine the effect of the perception of transaction security (X) on online shopping decisions of Sumbawa District people through the shopee application (Y). The type of data used in this study was quantitative obtained directly from primary sources using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The respondents in this study were 96 people from Sumbawa District who had shopped online through the Shopee application. Determination of respondents in this study used a probability sampling technique with the purposive sampling method. The data used in this study was processed using the SPSS application to be analyzed using simple linear regression analysis techniques, partial hypothesis testing (t-test), and coefficient of determination testing (R2). The results of this study indicate that the perception of transaction security had a positive and significant effect on online shopping decisions of Sumbawa District people through the Shopee application. The ability of the perception of transaction security variable to effect on online shopping decisions of Sumbawa District people through the Shopee application was 38.1%, while the remaining of 61.9% was effected by other factors not examined in this study, such as fast service, friend invitations, cashback voucher offers, ease of finding goods, low prices, and seller domicile.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of innovative school leadership in improving the quality of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SD Negeri Tebo, Poto Tano District, West Sumbawa Regency. The Merdeka Curriculum requires teachers to be more creative and adaptive in the learning process, making the principal’s role strategic in facilitating, guiding, and motivating teachers to effectively apply the curriculum principles. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions to gain a comprehensive understanding of the principal’s leadership practices and their impact on the quality of learning. The results show that the principal applies innovative leadership through routine supervision, teacher mentoring, and fostering a collaborative culture among teachers. These leadership strategies encourage teachers to implement creative learning methods, utilize media and digital technology effectively, and conduct continuous evaluations of the learning process and student outcomes. The participative and adaptive leadership applied by the principal has proven to enhance teacher motivation, student engagement, and overall learning quality. The findings indicate that innovative leadership management is not only administrative but also strategic, collaborative, and focused on improving learning quality. This study provides important implications for teacher professional development, optimizing the role of school principals, and educational policies to support the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to know the effect of content marketing and online customer reviews on consumers buying decisions on the Shopee application (study at Samawa University students). The type of this study was associative study. The types of data used were quantitative and qualitative data, then the source of data sources in this study were primary and secondary data. The populations in this study were active students of Samawa University in 2024 whom used the Shopee application. The numbers of samples in this study were 100 respondents obtained using the Paul-Leedy formula. The tool used to collect data were questionnaires distributed via Google Form. The techniques of data analysis were multiple linear regression, t-test and f-test which were processed using the IBM SPSS 25 program. The results of the study showed that content marketing and online customer reviews had a positive and significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions through the Shopee application, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R2) value was 0.738, which means that the percentage of effect of content marketing and online customer reviews on consumer purchasing decisions through the Shopee application was 73.8%, while the remaining of 26.2% was effected by other factors outside this research, such as ease of use of the application, ease of payment system, convenience of service, convenience in terms of time and practicality, product quality, pay later and installment facilities, trust, and others.

Abstract

This study aims to describe, analyze, and evaluate the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (SLM) and to measure its effectiveness in enhancing students’ reading interest at SD Negeri Omal Sapa. The background of this study is based on the 2024 Education Report, which indicated that students’ literacy skills were below the minimum competency, necessitating systematic intervention by the school. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Observations were conducted on the SLM program implementation, in-depth interviews were held with the principal, teachers, and several students, and documentation studies were conducted regarding school literacy policies. The research subjects included all school stakeholders involved in the implementation of SLM. The findings revealed that the SLM at SD Negeri Omal Sapa was effectively implemented through two main stages: the habituation stage and the development stage. The habituation stage focused on routine activities that foster reading habits, while the development stage emphasized improving literacy skills through more structured reading activities. The study concluded that consistent and structured implementation of SLM significantly enhances students’ reading interest, as evidenced by changes in attitudes and increased enthusiasm for literacy activities. To strengthen the program, it is recommended that the school provide a more diverse and relevant selection of reading materials to sustain and further improve students’ reading motivation.
