Abstract

Islamic education supervision plays a strategic role in improving educational quality through the professional development of teachers. However, supervision practices in various Islamic educational institutions remain largely influenced by a traditional paradigm that is authoritarian, inspection-oriented, administrative, and focused on fault-finding. This condition reduces the effectiveness of supervision in strengthening teacher professionalism and may generate resistance, weaken motivation, and limit teachers’ creativity. In addition, a gap remains between the modern concept of humanistic and collaborative supervision and its implementation in educational practice. This study aims to examine the transformation of the Islamic education supervision paradigm toward a collaborative-humanistic supervision model and to analyze the integration of Islamic values in its implementation. This study uses a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach through a review of books and scholarly articles related to Islamic education supervision. The findings indicate that Islamic education supervision has shifted from a control-based approach toward a professional development model that is more humanistic, democratic, participatory, and reflective. The collaborative-humanistic approach is considered relevant to contemporary Islamic education because it positions teachers as professional partners rather than objects of inspection. Clinical supervision also emerges as an effective model for improving learning quality through dialogical and reflective processes. The integration of the values of amanah, ihsan, musyawarah, and islah strengthens the distinctive character of Islamic education supervision by ensuring that supervision is not only directed toward competence improvement but also toward teachers’ moral and spiritual development. This study contributes theoretically to the development of Islamic education supervision literature and provides practical implications for supervisors, school leaders, and Islamic educational institutions in implementing supervision that is collaborative, humanistic, reflective, and grounded in Islamic values.

Abstract

Authentic assessment in Sharaf learning needs to be developed innovatively so that it can assess not only final outcomes but also students’ thinking processes, word-form analysis, and learning experiences in a more meaningful way. This study aims to describe innovations in authentic assessment based on digital media in Sharaf learning. This study used a qualitative approach with a library research design, or library research, focusing on a conceptual review of various scientific literature sources without directly involving field studies. The research data consisted of secondary data obtained from journals, books, proceedings, and academic documents relevant to authentic assessment, Sharaf learning, and the use of digital media in education. Data were collected through documentation study by tracing, identifying, and classifying literature according to the research focus, then analyzed using content analysis techniques, or content analysis, through the stages of data reduction, data display, and interpretative conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the use of digital media such as Padlet has the potential to support the implementation of authentic assessment in Sharaf learning because it enables students to present the process of word-form analysis openly, interactively, and in a documented manner. This medium also facilitates interaction among students and provides space for teachers to understand students’ thinking processes more comprehensively. The conclusion of this study affirms that digital media-based authentic assessment can serve as an innovative alternative in developing evaluation practices that are more contextual, participatory, and meaningful in Sharaf learning. The implications of this study provide conceptual contributions to the development of digital-based Arabic language assessment and serve as a reference for teachers in designing assessments oriented toward students’ processes, participation, and understanding.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is oriented not only toward the transmission of knowledge about Islamic teachings, but also toward the formation of students’ personality and religious behavior. However, PAI learning for autistic students requires specific strategies because they have characteristics such as communication barriers, limited social interaction, and a tendency toward concrete and visual thinking. This study aims to examine PAI learning strategies in shaping the religious behavior of autistic students. This study used a qualitative approach with a library research method through a review of relevant literature on PAI learning strategies, the characteristics of autistic children, and the formation of religious behavior. The results of the review show that effective learning strategies for autistic students in PAI learning include an individual approach, the use of visual media, the provision of simple and gradual instructions, positive reinforcement, and the creation of a structured and consistent learning environment. These strategies need to be implemented based on learning principles that are structured, patterned, programmed, consistent, and continuous. These findings affirm that PAI teachers have a central role as educators, facilitators, motivators, and evaluators in supporting the formation of religious behavior among autistic students. The conclusion of the study shows that adaptive and consistent PAI learning strategies can help autistic students develop religious behavior in accordance with their abilities and learning characteristics. The implications of this study provide theoretical contributions to the development of inclusive PAI learning studies, as well as practical implications for teachers in designing learning that is more individual, visual, structured, and oriented toward the formation of individuals who are faithful, pious, and noble in character.

Abstract

Human beings in the Islamic perspective are creatures endowed with fundamental potentials originating from spiritual and physical dimensions. This study focuses on how ruh, nafs, ‘aql, qalb, and fitrah as basic human potentials can be understood philosophically and implied in Islamic education, particularly in the formation of a true ‘Abdullah. This study aims to analyze the nature of these five basic human potentials philosophically and integratively and to formulate their implications for curriculum development and Islamic educational practice. This study used a library research method with philosophical-analytical and descriptive-comparative approaches. Data were collected from primary sources in the form of the Qur’an, hadith, and the works of Muslim philosophers, as well as secondary sources in the form of reputable national and international journals published in the last decade. The data were analyzed using content analysis and critical-comparative techniques. The results showed that these five potentials are not separate entities but an integrative system that mutually supports one another: ruh as a divine substance, nafs as the totality of the self, ‘aql as a rational instrument, qalb as the center of spiritual consciousness, and fitrah as a primordial orientation toward monotheism. These potentials collectively underlie human ability to carry out the function of ‘Abdullah, or servant of Allah. The pedagogical implications of this study include the reconstruction of a curriculum based on spiritual potentials, the development of learning methods that integrate cognitive, affective, and spiritual dimensions, and the strengthening of the teacher’s role as a guide for students’ souls. The conclusion of this study affirms that authentic Islamic education needs to position the holistic development of ruh, nafs, ‘aql, qalb, and fitrah as the main foundation for realizing educational goals that culminate in total servitude to Allah Swt.

Abstract

Child education from the perspective of Islamic educational psychology is a holistic process that is oriented not only toward the development of cognitive aspects but also toward the comprehensive formation of children’s character, moral, spiritual, emotional, and social dimensions. This study aims to analyze the concept of child education in Islamic educational psychology, identify factors that influence children’s development, examine effective educational methods, and explore the challenges of its implementation in the modern era. This study used a literature study or library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach through the examination of various relevant primary and secondary sources. The data were analyzed using content analysis through the processes of identifying, classifying, synthesizing, and drawing conclusions from various literature findings. The results of the study show that child education in Islam places the values of monotheism, moral character, compassion, and balance between spiritual and intellectual aspects as the main foundation of education. Children’s development is influenced by family, school, and social environmental factors that play a role in shaping character and social skills. Effective educational methods include a holistic approach, active learning, role modeling, and the integration of Islamic values throughout the educational process. On the other hand, technological development and globalization are challenges that require adaptive strategies through collaboration among families, schools, and communities. The conclusion of this study affirms that Islamic educational psychology provides a comprehensive educational framework for shaping children who are intelligent, noble in character, spiritually mature, and able to face the dynamics of modern life.

Abstract

The problems of Qur’an memorization among adolescents constitute a complex pedagogical issue because they involve cognitive, psychological, spiritual, and environmental dimensions that interact with one another. This study aims to analyze the strategies of tahfidz teachers in overcoming difficulties in Qur’an memorization among students at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Islam Surakarta in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of tahfidz teachers as the main informants, as well as Madrasah Aliyah students and madrasah management as supporting informants. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participatory observation, and documentation analysis, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation, member checking, and researcher reflexivity. The results showed that the main problems faced by students included low concentration, lack of learning motivation, boredom in muroja’ah, and weak time management between general academic workloads and memorization targets. Tahfidz teachers responded to these problems through adaptive pedagogical strategies, including the integration of the talaqqi, tikrar, tasmi’, and muroja’ah methods, personal approaches and the development of intrinsic motivation, the creation of a conducive learning environment based on spiritual values, and a structured and continuous memorization evaluation system. These findings indicate that the effectiveness of tahfidz teachers’ strategies is influenced by their ability to integrate modern pedagogical approaches with classical Islamic learning traditions. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of integrative, adaptive, and contextual tahfidz learning strategies in overcoming difficulties in Qur’an memorization in formal madrasahs. The contribution of this study lies in strengthening the conceptual model of tahfidz learning that integrates pedagogical, psychological, spiritual, and managerial aspects in Islamic education.

Abstract

Education for children with special needs requires a pedagogical framework that is oriented not only toward meeting learning needs but also toward recognizing the dignity, potential, and uniqueness of each child. This study aims to examine the concept of children with special needs from the perspective of Islamic educational psychology comprehensively, including basic principles, learning strategies, and the roles of various parties in realizing dignified education for children with special needs. This study used a literature study or library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach to relevant literature in the fields of Islamic educational psychology, inclusive education, and education for children with special needs. The results of the study show that Islamic educational psychology offers a holistic framework that integrates physical, ‘aqliyah, nafsiyah, and ruhaniah dimensions in understanding children with special needs. Islam views children with special needs as noble creatures created by Allah Swt. who possess fitrah and potential that need to be optimally developed. Principles of Islamic educational psychology such as rahmah, patience, tawakkal, justice, and recognition of individual uniqueness serve as spiritual and moral foundations in the education of children with special needs. Islamic value-based learning strategies for children with special needs include adaptive differentiated learning, the use of Islamic multisensory media, and Islamic guidance and counseling. The success of education for children with special needs is strongly determined by synergy among families, Islamic educational institutions, and Muslim communities. The conclusion of this study affirms that the integration of Islamic values in the education of children with special needs provides a conceptual contribution to the development of Islamic educational psychology while offering practical guidance in building inclusive education that is dignified, adaptive, and aligned with Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Coffee seedling production (Coffea spp.) is an important stage in supporting successful productive and sustainable coffee cultivation. However, scientific documentation on coffee seedling production techniques in a comprehensive manner at regional seed institutions, particularly at the UPTD Center for Certification and Seedling of Forest Plants of the Forestry Office of West Sumatra Province, remains limited. This study aims to describe the stages of coffee seedling production, identify supporting factors for seedling production success, and explain the criteria for quality coffee seedlings ready to be distributed to the community. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a field study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, interviews with nursery officers selected purposively, field practice, and activity documentation. The data were analyzed descriptively through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that coffee seedling production was carried out through the stages of seed selection, soaking for 24 hours, sowing in a soil and burnt rice husk medium with a ratio of 3:1, transplanting at the soldier–spear phase, and maintenance in polybags. Germination success reached 85–90%, with seedlings ready for distribution at the age of 4–6 months, a height of 20–30 cm, and 4–6 pairs of healthy leaves. The conclusion of this study affirms that systematic coffee seedling production through seed selection, the use of appropriate planting media, and controlled maintenance can produce quality seedlings to support the development of coffee cultivation. The implications of this study provide practical contributions for regional seed institutions in strengthening technical standards for coffee seedling production and supporting the provision of quality seedlings for the community.

Abstract

The conventional broadcast radio industry in Indonesia is facing increasingly intense disruption pressures due to the emergence of podcasts and digital audio platforms that have fundamentally changed audiences’ media consumption patterns. The Covid-19 pandemic also accelerated this shift, prompting private radio stations to formulate comprehensive adaptation strategies to maintain their existence and relevance. This study aims to analyze the adaptation strategies of conventional broadcast radio in facing the disruption of podcasts and digital audio platforms in the post-pandemic era. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth discussions with key informants consisting of a program director, senior producer, head of the digital division, marketing manager, and senior broadcaster, and were strengthened through field observation and documentation study. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results identified five main dimensions of adaptation strategies, namely the transformation of content distribution toward multiplatform delivery, the development of original podcasts with a strong identity, the repositioning of live broadcasting as a differentiation value, the transformation of human resource competencies, and the restructuring of revenue models. The conclusion of this study affirms that conventional radio is not heading toward extinction but is undergoing a process of mediamorphosis that, if managed strategically, can produce an audio medium that is more adaptive, competitive, and relevant in the digital era. The implications of this study contribute to the development of media adaptation studies and provide practical input for the radio industry in designing sustainable digital transformation strategies.

Abstract

The transformation from the 2013 Curriculum to the Kurikulum Merdeka requires not only administrative changes but also changes in the learning paradigm and teachers’ mindset. Although the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka in Islamic Religious Education has been widely studied, research that specifically examines the transformation of Akidah Akhlak teachers’ mindset in the context of madrasah aliyah remains limited. This study aims to analyze the transformation of Akidah Akhlak teachers’ mindset in the transition from the 2013 Curriculum to the Kurikulum Merdeka at MAN 1 Surakarta. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research informants consisted of the Deputy Head of Madrasah for Curriculum and Akidah Akhlak teachers selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, learning observations, and documentation study, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model through the stages of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that teachers’ mindset transformation occurred gradually, from a teacher-centered learning orientation toward student-centered learning. The main supporting factors for this transformation included curricular leadership, teacher learning communities, and Kurikulum Merdeka training, whereas inhibiting factors included deeply rooted teaching habits, limited time, and adaptation to learning documents. The conclusion of this study affirms that the successful implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka is strongly influenced by changes in teachers’ paradigm and mindset. These findings imply the importance of strengthening curricular leadership, developing teacher learning communities, and providing continuous mentoring to support curriculum transition in madrasah aliyah.
