Abstract

This research aims to analyze the efficiency of waste management at the Final Disposal Site (TPA) Losari, Wonorejo, Selomerto, Wonosobo. TPA Losari is a strategic location for waste management in the Wonosobo region and is under the supervision of the Environmental and Forestry Agency of the district. The study was conducted through direct observation of the waste collection, sorting, and management processes at the TPA. The results indicate that the monitoring and coordination by the Environmental and Forestry Agency focus on responsible and sustainable waste management at TPA Losari. Organic waste is processed through sorting and natural decomposition, while inorganic waste is sorted by waste pickers to support recycling efforts. There is also specific management for medical waste, requiring careful handling. However, TPA Losari is currently facing a "waste emergency" due to excessive waste and inadequate facilities and infrastructure. Therefore, the research also notes future plans to transform waste into reusable products, such as processing organic waste into compost and non-organic waste into paving materials. In conclusion, this research provides an in-depth overview of waste management at TPA Losari, Wonosobo, and identifies the issues that need to be addressed to improve waste management efficiency in the region. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a basis for developing strategic measures to address the waste emergency and enhance environmental quality in the Wonosobo area.

Abstract

Arithmetic difficulties among second-grade students at SDN 45/I Sridadi have captured the attention within the context of elementary education. Arithmetic is a fundamental skill that provides a crucial foundation for understanding more complex mathematical concepts in the subsequent levels. Nonetheless, many students encounter challenges in mastering arithmetic concepts at this level. This research aims to identify the factors contributing to arithmetic difficulties among second-grade students and propose appropriate teaching strategies to address these challenges. The research methodology employed includes observational studies and interviews with teachers and second-grade students at SDN 45/I Sridadi. The findings reveal that several factors contribute to students' arithmetic difficulties, including less diverse teaching methods, inadequate understanding of basic concepts, and variations in individual learning speeds. These obstacles may impact students' self-confidence and reduce their interest in learning mathematics. Based on the research findings, several effective teaching strategies are proposed. An inclusive and student-centered approach is recommended, which pays special attention to each student's individual needs and learning styles. The use of interactive learning media and role-playing in mathematics instruction can enhance students' engagement and participation. In addressing arithmetic difficulties, the roles of teachers and parents are crucial. Teachers can adopt creative and problem-based approaches to teaching mathematics, while parents can support learning at home by involving their children in everyday arithmetic activities. This research is expected to contribute to the field of education, particularly in tackling challenges related to arithmetic difficulties among second-grade students at SDN 45/I Sridadi. With a deep understanding of the contributing factors and effective teaching strategies, it is hoped that each student can overcome their arithmetic hurdles and achieve optimal progress in their mathematical learning.

Abstract

Measurement Of Thermal Conductivity In Wood, Lime And Iron have been carried out with the aim of determining the termal conductivity of a material and knowing the factors that affect the termal conductivity of a material. The tools and materials in this experiment were two metal cylinder conductors, the test material (in the form of a cylinder) in the form of cotton wool, iron and wood, an electric stove, a pyrometer, water, clamps and a stopwatch with the stove working steps turned on, piling up the test material placed in the middle of the metal conductor, heated for 10 minutes, the temperature was measured with a pyrometer on the bottom surface, the metal surface below the test material, the metal surface above the test material, and the top surface. Note, the test material and metal conductors are cooled with water and repeated for the other test materials. The working principle used is termal convection termal conduction, temperature measurement. The results of the experiment showed that the value of the termal conductivity was 27.13 W/m°C for wood, 18.6 W/m°C for lime, and 60.6 W/m°C for iron. As for the conductivity is influenced by the temperature difference of each surface of the material, the type of material, the cross-sectional area.
