Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the concept teaching model in improving social studies learning outcomes on the material of cooperation in the neighborhood environment. The researchers used the Classroom Action Research method with two cycles. The study was conducted at MI Al Wathaniyah 1 North Jakarta with 34 class 2 students as subjects. Data collection was carried out through systematic observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and learning outcome tests. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. The research results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of the concept teaching model with classical completeness reaching 85% in cycle II. The average student learning outcomes reached 90%. In addition, the teacher's teaching activities also showed an achievement of 100%. It means that the activity shows the teacher's ability to master the class and apply the concept teaching model well. Student presentations in observing and answering worksheets or written tests also reached 85%. Therefore, this study contributes to the development of a more effective social studies learning methodology at the elementary education level.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of muhadarah activities in enhancing public speaking skills among students at Pondok Pesantren Roudlotut Tholibin Kademangan Probolinggo. Muhadarah, as a public speaking exercise focused on delivering sermons or speeches, is an essential part of the educational curriculum in pesantren. Public speaking skills are deemed crucial for students as preparation to become competent leaders and communicators in society. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a case study method in a pesantren setting. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that consistent practice of muhadarah helps students improve their confidence, effective communication skills, and ability to organize and deliver messages clearly. Muhadarah activities play a vital role in shaping students' speaking abilities while reinforcing religious and social values beneficial for daily life. The study recommends strengthening the muhadarah program as part of a sustainable educational strategy in pesantren.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low creative mathematical thinking ability of eighth-grade students at SMP IT Al-Khansa Rengat. The students seem unable to come up with many different solutions or approaches, so an instructional approach is needed to address this issue. The approach that is believed to overcome this problem is the open-ended approach. The research question of this study is: “Is the creative mathematical thinking ability of students who follow the open-ended learning approach better than those who follow conventional learning in the eighth grade at SMP IT Al-Khansa Rengat?” The objective is to determine whether the creative mathematical thinking ability of students who follow the open-ended approach is better than those who follow conventional learning in the eighth grade at SMP IT Al-Khansa Rengat. The hypothesis of this study is that the creative mathematical thinking ability of students who follow the open-ended approach is better than those who follow conventional learning at SMP IT Al-Khansa Rengat. The data analysis technique used is the t test and Minitab software. The results of the analysis obtained tcount=3.114 and ttable=2.120. Because 3.114>2.120, the conclusion is that H0 is rejected and H is accepted. It can be concluded the creative thinking abilities in mathematics of students who take part in learning using an open ended approach are better than students who take part in conventional learning in class VIII SMP IT Al-Khansa Rengat.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of scientific literacy-based videos on student learning outcomes. The scientific literacy-based videos have been validated by material experts, media experts, and language experts. The application of scientific literacy-based learning videos is carried out using blended learning, which integrates learning that combines various physical and virtual sources. The research used a pre-experimental, one-group pre-test-post-test design, namely by giving pre-tests and post-tests to students. Data analysis was carried out by determining N-Gain. The research was carried out using the Google Classroom platform. The results of the research show that the N-gain score is 81.6400, so the use of scientific literacy-based learning videos is effective on student learning outcomes. t-tests to students. Data analysis was carried out by determining N-Gain. The results showed that the N-Gain score was 0.8343 on high criteria and 83.43% on effective criteria., so the use of scientific literacy-based learning videos is effective on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study seeks to provide a comprehensive analysis of the implementation of calligraphy-focused extracurricular activities at Pondok Pesantren Riyadlus Sholihin, examining their role in enhancing students' creative capacities in Arabic calligraphy. Historically, calligraphy emerged as a means of venerating the Qur'anic verses, but its development over time has shifted towards emphasizing aesthetic values. The discipline of calligraphy encompasses several distinct styles, including khat naskhi, khat tsulus, khat diwani, khat diwani jali, khat riq’ah, khat farisi, and khat kufi. At Pondok Pesantren Riyadlus Sholihin, calligraphy is embedded within the framework of religious education, prioritizing the artful transcription of Qur'anic text. This research adopts a qualitative methodology with a descriptive orientation, employing analytical techniques to delve into the subject matter. The analytical framework utilized is derived from Miles and Huberman, encompassing stages such as data reduction, data presentation, conclusion formulation, and data verification. The findings underscore the substantial impact of calligraphy extracurricular programs at Pondok Pesantren Riyadlus Sholihin, located in Probolinggo City, in fostering students' creative expression and technical proficiency in calligraphy. Moreover, these activities extend beyond technical skill development, nurturing a deeper appreciation for Islamic art and cultural heritage through structured training and sustained mentorship.

Abstract

The low student mathematics learning outcomes are caused by several problems, namely the low interest and independence of student learning which is the driving force for conducting this research. Ex Post Facto research using quantitative techniques is this type of research. The research population was 118 class VIII MTsS TI Candung students. The instrument used was a questionnaire on interest and independence in learning. The research results produce a regression equation Y= 11.683 + 0.498 representing interest in learning on learning outcomes. t count = 3.113 > t table = 2.052 is the result of the regression significance test. Interest in learning has a fairly large partial influence on mathematics learning outcomes. Y= 16.171 + 0.525 is the regression equation for learning independence on learning outcomes. After carrying out the regression significance test, it was obtained that t = 2.472 > t table = 2.052. Partially, learning independence has a significant effect on mathematics learning outcomes. The resulting multiple regression equation has a determinant coefficient KD = 38.247% and a correlation coefficient value of 0.618 indicating a moderate relationship. The multiple regression significance test produces calculated F = 13.031 > F table = 3.37. It is known that interest and independence have a big influence on mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Mathematics education is taught to students from the basic level with the aim of equipping them with various skills, such as logical, analytical, systematic, critical, and creative thinking abilities, as well as the ability to work together. One of the abilities that is measured is cognitive ability. Cognitive ability involves the thinking process in the form of generally recognizing depicted objects and can be expressed in ideas, responses, or values. This mathematics learning activity also certainly involves problems in solving mathematical story problems. The procedure for solving story problems certainly involves steps for resolution, namely by using problem-solving according to Polya's theory. This research aims to describe students' cognitive abilities in solving word problems based on Polya's theory. The research instrument used in this study was a test, confirmed through interviews. The research results show that students with moderate ability are unable to solve problems in the cognitive category of applying (calculating indicator) and creating (designing indicator) especially in the Polya stage of checking, because the checking process is not found in their answer sheets. Meanwhile, students with low ability also cannot solve problems in the applying cognitive category (calculating indicator) and creating cognitive category (designing indicator), and are unable to solve story problems using Polya's stages of planning, executing, and checking. Thus, it can be concluded that students' ability to solve LOTS and HOTS questions is still at a low level because they find it difficult to work on questions in the cognitive domains of applying and creating.

Abstract

Rapid developments are taking place in the realm of education in the 21st century. Teachers in this era are expected to have the ability to use technology in teaching at school and also be able to overcome various challenges that arise. To increase the effectiveness of learning, it is necessary to use interesting media. This research is entitled the development of FINTER Learning media (Interactive Fikih) for learning Fikih in class VIII MTs Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang. This research focuses on the development of Powerpoint-based Fikih learning media for Fikih subjects in class VIII MTs Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang. This research applies the research and development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The purpose of this research is to facilitate and make learning Jurisprudence subjects more interesting for teachers and students. This research produces learning media called FINTER. This media received a score of 88% from student responses. The results of the material expert validation received a score of 89% and 91% for media expert validation, thus FINTER media is very feasible to use in learning media at MTs Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) learning model assisted by Pakyno Flashcard media on students' understanding of concepts. The research uses a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects were class IV students at SD Negeri Klepu 05 Pringapus, where class IV A was used as the experimental group and class IV B as the control group. Data was collected through concept understanding tests, observations, and questionnaires. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group with a sig value = 0.001 (< 0.05). The average understanding of students' concepts in the experimental class reached 95.08, higher than the control class which obtained an average of 90.42. In addition, the results of a simple linear regression test show that the STAD learning model assisted by Flashcard Pakyno media has an influence of 24.5% on students' understanding of concepts. This research concludes that the application of the STAD model with the support of Pakyno Flashcard media is effective in increasing students' understanding of concepts.

Abstract

This study presents the design and development of an automated cinnamon bark shredder control system using a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). The purpose of the system is to enhance production efficiency by replacing manual processes with automation, thereby reducing time, labor costs, and error rates. The system integrates components such as proximity sensors, induction motors, and PLC Omron CP1E, programmed with the CX-Programmer software. Testing demonstrated that the shredder effectively processes cinnamon bark into fine powder meeting Indonesian National Standards (SNI) for export, with consistent results in particle size (0.7–1 cm) and reduced waste. The tool is suitable for small and medium-sized industries (IKM) due to its cost efficiency, operational simplicity, and ability to improve production capacity. Future developments may focus on scaling up for industrial use.
