Abstract

This research is motivated by the implementation of a CAL (Computer Assisted Learning) based model that is not appropriate or optimal implemented by Islamic Religious Education teachers. This study aims to describe the application of CAL-Based Learning (Computer Assisted Learning) carried out by Islamic Religious Education teachers in Islamic Religious Education class VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Payakumbuh and to find out the obstacles faced by Islamic Religious Education teachers in the implementation of CAL-Based Learning (Computer Assisted Learning) in grade VIII PAI subjects at SMP Negeri 2 Payakumbuh. The results of the research findings conducted by the author show that: The application of CAL-Based Learning (Computer Assisted Learning) in PAI learning is not fully in accordance with the theory and has shortcomings. There are four elements that are studied in this study, namely: Planning, Implementation, Learning Media used, and supporting and inhibiting factors in the Implementation of CAL-Based Learning (Computer Assisted Learning). Obstacles faced by teachers in implementing CAL (Computer Assisted Learning) in Islamic religious education learning include: lack of student learning motivation, lack of student learning activity, lack of student discipline and relatively short allocation of learning time and hours.

Abstract

The transformation of Al-Quran learning methods from Ummi to Uthmani in Al-Quran education institutions is an interesting phenomenon to study, given the complexity of the change process involving various learning components. This study aims to explore the dynamics of the change in Quranic learning methods and analyze its impact on various aspects of learning at the Khairunnas Qur'anic Education Park in Bandar Lampung. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this research involved in-depth interviews with teachers, managers, and student guardians, participatory observation of the learning process, and documentation analysis during the transition period. The results show that the learning method transformation process involves three main stages: preparation through intensive training, gradual implementation with a mentoring system, and continuous evaluation. Significant challenges faced include resistance to change, the need to adjust teachers' competencies, and the reorganization of the learning system. The impact of the transformation is seen in changes in the pattern of teacher-student interaction that is more interactive, modification of learning media that is more comprehensive, and development of a more holistic evaluation system. This research contributes to the development of a transformation model of Al-Quran learning methods that can be a reference for similar institutions. The research findings highlight the importance of a systematic approach in managing changes in learning methods, as well as emphasizing the need for continuous professional development in the context of Qur'anic education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model, supported by the Engklek Eduflex medium, on the conceptual understanding of mathematics among fifth-grade elementary students. TGT is a cooperative learning model designed to enhance student interaction through engaging and competitive group activities. The addition of Engklek Eduflex, a modified traditional game, is expected to strengthen learning outcomes by connecting familiar play elements with educational objectives. The research employs a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest assessments on two groups: an experimental group using TGT with Engklek Eduflex and a control group using TGT alone. The findings reveal that TGT supported by Engklek Eduflex significantly improves students' conceptual understanding of mathematics compared to the control group. The Engklek Eduflex medium proves effective in creating a fun learning environment, enhancing students’ interest and engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to design Augmented Reality (AR)-based Space Building learning media using Unity 3D to improve learning effectiveness at SMP Negeri 2 Payakumbuh. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Hannafin and Peck model, which includes three stages: Need Assessment, Design, and Develop/Implement. The learning media is designed to provide an interactive learning experience by displaying virtual space objects, which can be accessed both inside and outside the classroom. Media testing includes validity test using Aiken's V, practicality test using kappa moment, and effectiveness test using G-Score. The validity test results by four validators showed an average value of 0.83 (valid category), the practicality test by two teachers and ten students resulted in an average value of 0.80 (high category), and the effectiveness test by twenty students obtained an average value of 0.71 (high effectiveness category). The results show that this AR-based learning media can be used by teachers and students to understand Spatial Buildings material more effectively. This finding is expected to be an innovative solution in the development of interactive learning media.

Abstract

Reading ability is a fundamental skill in language mastery, especially in English language learning. However, many students in Indonesia experience difficulties in understanding English texts due to a lack of effective reading strategies. This issue forms the basis of a study to evaluate the impact of reading strategies on improving students' reading comprehension. The aim of this research is to analyze how reading strategies can assist students in understanding English texts. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method, involving 50 students divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests and analyzed using normality and homogeneity statistical tests, as well as a T-test to measure the effectiveness of reading strategies. The results showed that the experimental group, which used reading strategies, demonstrated a significant improvement in comprehension compared to the control group. These findings suggest that the application of appropriate reading strategies can enhance reading comprehension skills, particularly for students learning English as a foreign language.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the problem of students' low ability to understand mathematical concepts, this can be seen from students' difficulties in solving problems that are different from the examples presented by the teacher. One effort to overcome this, researchers tried to apply a group investigation type cooperative learning model. This research aims to determine the significant influence of the group investigation type cooperative learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This type of research is pre-experimental with a research design, namely the static group comparison design. The population in this study was all class VIII MTs S Muhammadiyah Lawang Tigo Balai. The sample in this study was class VIII2 as the experimental class and class VIII3 as the control class. The instrument used in the research was a test of the ability to understand mathematical concepts in the form of a description test. Data obtained from research results based on data analysis using the t-test can be concluded that "there is a significant influence of the group investigation type cooperative learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Kahoot media on Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning interest of fourth grade students at SDN 15 Sutijo. The background of this study is the students' low interest in learning, which is shown by behaviors such as playing during learning, disturbing friends, leaving class, and sleeping in class. Although teachers have tried various innovations, the methods used have not succeeded in attracting students' attention. This study used a quantitative experimental approach with a pretest-posttest single group design. The study population consisted of 28 fourth grade students of SDN 15 Sutijo, which also became the sample through the total sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using paired sample t-test. The results showed that Kahoot media had a significant effect on increasing students' interest in learning. This is evidenced by the sig value of 0.002 (<0.05) and the t value of 3.418, greater than the t table of 2.052 (t> t table). Thus, Kahoot media is proven to be able to create interesting and effective learning to increase students' interest in learning PAI subjects.

Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) is a key indicator for measuring the welfare and prosperity of a region, including West Java Province. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing HDI and predict its future trends. The analysis was conducted using a multiple linear regression method implemented with the Python programming language, with independent variables including Life Expectancy, Expected Years of Schooling, Mean Years of Schooling, and Adjusted Per Capita Expenditure. The results show that Expected Years of Schooling (X3) and Adjusted Per Capita Expenditure (X4) are the most significant factors influencing HDI in West Java, particularly due to the declining trends in these variables. Based on the model, the predicted HDI values for 2024, 2025, and 2026 are 73.19, 72.59, and 71.62, respectively, which fall under the medium HDI category. These findings provide valuable insights for strategic planning to improve HDI in West Java, particularly through interventions targeting the significant variables.

Abstract

Chemistry lessons not only focus on mastering basic concepts, but also on developing critical thinking skills. The development of critical thinking skills in chemistry lessons has not been supported by good conditions in the field. This can be seen from the use of conventional learning models and teaching materials that are often used, namely only package books. So that to fulfill the effective learning process, teaching materials are needed that can help students achieve critical thinking skills. This research aims to produce a PBL-based LKPD to improve critical thinking skills in chemical bonding material phase F SMA/MA. This type of research is Educational Design Research with the Plomp development model. The subjects of this study are UNP chemistry lecturers, chemistry teachers of SMAN 1 Koto XI Tarusan and students of SMAN 1 Koto XI Tarusan. Data was obtained from validity questionnaires, practicality sheets, and pretest and posttest scores. The validation data was processed using Aiken's V formula. Based on the results found, it can be concluded that the LKPD developed is already in the valid category with an Aiken's V value of 0.88 and is very practical with a percentage of practicality based on teacher assessments of 92% and students of 91%. To see the improvement of critical thinking skills, pretest and posttest were carried out for students. Based on the results of the study, an N-Gain value of 0.7 was obtained. It can be concluded that LKPD is valid and very practical to be used in learning and is efficiently used to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the correlation between discipline and religious character of MAN students within Kampar Regency. This research was carried out with quantitative-correlational approach. The population were all students of MAN 1 Kampar amounted 633 students, all students of MAN 2 Kampar amounted 212 students, and all students of MAN 4 Kampar amounted 232 students with total populations were 1077 students and the samples were 531 students. The sampling technique was by using simple random sampling. The technique of data collection was by using questionnaire. The data analysis technique used pre-requisite questionnaire test instrument: validity and reliability test, correlation test: normality test and linearity test, and research hypothesis test: bivariate correlation test. The results of this research: there was positive and significant correlation between discipline behavior with religious character. Obtained the value of sig. (2 tailed) 0,000 < 0,050 which meant Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. With R value = 0,551 pearson correlation in correlation degree which meant it was in medium level.
