Abstract

The Ikat weavers in the sikka district experience low work productivity so that the weavers are not able to compete with the ikat weavers in other regions. other regions. This study aims to determine the influence of competitiveness on the work productivity of the Ikat weavers in Sikka Regency. in Sikka Regency. The population in this study is the Ikat Weavers in Sikka Regency. Ikat Weavers in Sikka Regency, using an incidental sampling sample of 240 people. Method in data collection in this study using competitiveness scale and work productivity scale.work productivity scale. Data analysis methods using normality test, linearity testlinearity test and simple regression test with the help of Spss for windows 16.0.the results of data analysis show that there is an influence of competitiveness on the work productivity of ikat weavers in Sikka Regency. The result is indicated by linearity analysis and simple regression analysis. Butikan with linearity analysis and regressive analysis obtained sig. level (2 tailed) 0.000 <0.05 the fan of the simple regression equation amounted to 7.3% which contributed that other variables to examine in this study wereother variables to examine in this study amounted to 92.7%.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of gamification on students' learning motivation and self-confidence. The underlying problem is low learning motivation due to monotonous conventional learning methods. Using the PRISMA method, this study screened relevant literature and used a quantitative approach with an experimental design. The research subjects were 60 grade 5 students, who were divided into an experimental group (using Kupin Edu) and a control group (using traditional methods). Data were collected through pretest and posttest questionnaires, analyzed by statistical tests. The results showed that the experimental group experienced significant improvements in learning motivation, from a score of 65.3 to 82.7, and self-confidence, from 58.7 to 75.3. In contrast, the control group showed minimal improvement. Competitive elements, such as leaderboards, and collaborative elements, such as daily challenges, were shown to significantly increase student engagement. This study concludes that gamification is an effective approach to increase students' learning motivation and confidence, particularly at the primary education level. The practical implication is that gamification can be integrated in the curriculum to create a more engaging and relevant learning environment. This research contributes to expanding the application of educational technology to improve the quality of student learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the contribution of the need to belong to self-presentation online among adolescents actively using social media. The need to belong is a psychological need to be accepted and become part of a social group, while self-presentation online refers to individuals’ efforts to construct their self-image on social media. This research employs a quantitative method with a correlational design. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling, and data were collected through an online questionnaire involving 120 respondents aged 15-22 years who actively use social media. The data were collected using a Likert scale model and analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The results show a significant positive relationship between the need to belong and self-presentation online, with a contribution value of 22.8%. This indicates that the higher an individual’s need to feel accepted, the greater their tendency to shape and adjust their self-image displayed on social media. These findings suggest that self-presentation online is influenced not only by technical or aesthetic factors but also by the psychological need to be accepted by social groups.

Abstract

This study explores the role of exemplary Islamic religious education teachers and morals in shaping students’ social behavior at SMA Negeri 1 Waru. Using a qualitative field approach with descriptive-qualitative-phenomenological methods, the findings highlight that teachers significantly influence students' attitudes and behavior by serving as role models. Teachers are not only educators of religious material but also exemplify integrity, noble morals, and responsibility, inspiring students to develop character traits such as integrity, responsibility, and social care. This is evident in vertical interactions with God, such as congregational prayers and dhikr, which enhance students’ spiritual awareness, and in social interactions, characterized by politeness, collaboration, and mutual support, creating a positive learning environment. Supporting factors include teacher integrity, parental involvement, peer influence, and school facilities and regulations that strengthen social behavior development. However, challenges arise from students’ diverse backgrounds and external global influences, requiring concerted efforts to promote exemplification among stakeholders. Ultimately, the role of teachers as role models not only shapes individual student behavior but also fosters a positive school environment and strengthens the school community at SMA Negeri 1 Waru.

Abstract

Students are individuals aged 18 to 25 who are in the early adulthood phase, which is a period in an individual's life to adjust to new life patterns and new social expectations, as well as to take responsibility for their development and life. This study aims to determine whether self-acceptance contributes to fear of intimacy among students whose parents are divorced in the city of Padang.This research is a correlational quantitative study. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling with a sample size of 110 students, collected over a week from January 9-15 2025. The data for this research were obtained using a Likert scale model and then analyzed with simple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that self-acceptance contributes to fear of intimacy among students whose parents are divorced in the city of Padang by 20.7%.

Abstract

Big book media is a media that has unique characteristics in terms of size, text, color and images to make it easier for students to understand reading. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using Big Book media on students' reading aloud skills in elementary schools. This type of research is pre-experimental research involving one class as an experimental class without a control class with the One Group Pretest-posttest research design. The results of this research indicate that the Big Book media is quite effective for reading aloud skills for low class students as indicated by the mean value of the n gain score being 0.6335, which is in between so that the n gain score category is medium, which means that the effectiveness is medium as well if seen from the mean value. in ngain_persen, namely 63.35%, you can see the estimated effectiveness of the ngain score in percentage, namely the estimate is quite effective. So that the use of Big Book media is effective for elementary school students' reading aloud skills.

Abstract

The subject of Basic Mechanical Engineering serves as a fundamental foundation for understanding various basic concepts that will be utilized in the practice and further development of mechanical engineering skills. However, based on observations, many students have unsatisfactory learning outcomes. This study aims to examine the influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the learning outcomes of Grade X students in the Basic Mechanical Engineering subject at SMK Negeri 1 Padang. The research was conducted from October 7 to November 7, 2024, focusing on the elements of Occupational Health and Safety and Industrial Work Culture. The method used was an experimental study with two classes, namely the experimental class using PBL and the control class using conventional methods. Data were collected through a post-test consisting of 20 objective questions and 5 essay questions, as well as observations of students' learning activities. The results showed that the average score of the experimental class (83.22) was higher than that of the control class (75.86). In addition, the percentage of students who achieved passing scores in the experimental class was higher (29 students) compared to the control class (23 students). The use of the PBL model also increased students' interest and participation in the learning process, as evidenced by the increasing percentage of students' activities during the learning sessions. Based on the t-test, the t-value obtained was 2.457, which is greater than the t-table value 2.001 at a significance level of 0.05, indicating a significant influence of the PBL model on students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

The phenomenon in this study is motivated by the large number of students who are less able to build a good ego identity which causes identity confusion, resulting in negative behavior such as self injury. Self-injury is an act of intentionally hurting oneself without the intention of committing suicide, which is generally done to overcome emotional stress or feelings of emptiness. This study aims to describe students' ego identity and self-injury behavior, and the relationship between ego identity and students' self-injury behavior. This study uses a quantitative correlational method. The research sample was 130 students of State Senior High School 1 Sungai Tarab who were selected using the Purposive Sampling technique. The instruments used were an ego identity questionnaire and a self-injury behavior questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the percentage analysis technique and tested using the Pearson Product Moment correlation formula. The results of the study showed that: (1) the average score of students' ego identity achievement reached 91.71 (72.69%) most students had high ego identity, (2) the average score of students' self-injury behavior achievement was 52.42 (35.46%) most students had low self-injury behavior, and (3) there was a significant negative relationship between ego identity and students' self-injury behavior with a correlation of -0.277 and a significance value of 0.001. Thus, it can be interpreted that the higher the student's ego identity, the lower the self-injury, conversely, students with weak ego identity tend to have a higher risk of carrying out this self-injury behavior.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai efektivitas penerapan metode demonstrasi dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi fiqih ibadah dan untuk mengidentifikasi berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi, baik yang mendukung maupun yang menghambat, penggunaan metode ini di MTs Darus Sholihin. Pemahaman siswa tentang fiqih ibadah sering kali tidak optimal disebabkan oleh metode pengajaran yang kurang efektif, keterbatasan media pembelajaran, serta waktu yang terbatas. Akibatnya, banyak siswa cenderung menghafal materi tanpa memahami substansi ajaran ibadah tersebut. Di MTs Darus Sholihin Kabupaten Probolinggo, sejumlah guru fiqih masih mengandalkan metode ceramah yang kurang memperhatikan kebutuhan dan karakteristik siswa. Padahal, pembelajaran fiqih seharusnya tidak hanya berfokus pada penjelasan teoritis, melainkan juga membutuhkan demonstrasi praktis dan observasi langsung untuk memperdalam pemahaman siswa terhadap materi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dengan kepala sekolah dan guru, serta observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode demonstrasi, terutama dalam pengajaran sholat, terbukti efektif di MTs Darus Sholihin. Metode ini tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman dan daya ingat siswa, tetapi juga meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan mereka dalam pembelajaran. Lebih jauh lagi, integrasi pendidikan karakter dan nilai-nilai moral dalam penerapan metode ini turut berkontribusi pada pengembangan kompetensi siswa secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

Copper(II) oxide (CuO) has been recognized as a promising semiconductor material for various applications, such as photocatalysis, sensors, and renewable energy devices. However, its efficiency is often limited by a suboptimal bandgap value. This study aims to analyze the effect of cerium doping on the properties of CuO nanoparticles synthesized through the sol-gel process. The sol-gel method ensures a homogeneous doping distribution and produces nanoparticles with a stable structure. The bandgap energy of CuO nanoparticles was determined through characterization using UV-DRS. Cerium was introduced as a dopant in CuO at a concentration of 0.4 mmol, resulting in a bandgap value of 1.26 eV, whereas undoped CuO exhibited a bandgap of 1.35 eV. The analysis indicates that the Ce doping concentration significantly affects the bandgap of CuO nanoparticles, with a reduction observed at 0.4 mmol compared to undoped CuO. This decrease is attributed to symmetry disruption caused by doping, including oxygen vacancies, structural defects, and the presence of impurities that create additional energy levels within the bandgap. Furthermore, uniform microstrain and a smaller particle size contribute to structural disturbances that also influence the bandgap.
