Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance digital literacy among students in the Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) department at SMK Bintang Nusantara through training on creating a Network-Attached Storage (NAS)-based storage system. The training includes an introduction to NAS technology, its implementation in the school network, and practical exercises in data management. The results showed a significant increase in students' understanding of NAS technology, with 80% of participants being able to independently comprehend the concepts and basic configuration of NAS and apply the system to support learning activities. Students' digital literacy also improved significantly, as evidenced by their ability to effectively manage data using the NAS system.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dilaksanakan di wilayah Jakarta Selatan, tepatnya di Jl. Mawar III RT. 004 RW. 05, Kelurahan Bintaro, Kecamatan Pesanggrahan, dengan lokasi kegiatan di Balai Warga RW 05 Bintaro. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman remaja setempat tentang dasar-dasar penggunaan soft perkantoran, khususnya pembuatan surat pada Microsoft Word dan Microsoft Excel. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup penggunaan Microsoft Word sebagai alat pengolah kata secara efektif dan efisien, serta Microsoft Excel untuk pengolahan data. Para peserta menunjukkan antusiasme yang sangat tinggi selama pelatihan, yang mencerminkan tingkat pemahaman mereka yang baik terhadap materi yang disampaikan. Hasil kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif dengan meningkatkan wawasan dan keterampilan masyarakat sekitar dalam penggunaan software Ms. Word dan Ms Excel.

Abstract

Access to computers in schools in Indonesia is still relatively low. Many students, especially at the secondary level, do not yet have a deep understanding of Microsoft Word. To overcome this challenge, it is important to provide systematic basic training on the use of Microsoft Word in schools, including at Madrasah Aliyah Aliyah Al Riyadhul Jannah. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve the computer skills and knowledge of students at Madrasah Aliyah Aliyah Al Riyadhul Jannah through a basic introduction to Microsoft Word. With the background of low access and understanding of information technology, this activity is designed to provide a better understanding of the use of office applications, especially Microsoft Word. The methods used in implementing this program include consultation with supervising lecturers, field surveys, preparation of materials, implementation of training, and evaluation of activities. The results of the program showed a significant increase in students' understanding of the basic functions of Microsoft Word, as well as high enthusiasm in the practice and question and answer sessions. Positive feedback from participants confirmed that this program was very useful for them in completing academic assignments. It is hoped that this program can be a sustainable initial step in improving the quality of education at Madrasah Aliyah Al Riyadhul Jannah and other schools.

Abstract

Tujuan pelaksanaan dari PKM ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat khususnya anggota Organisasi Olahraga Kebugaran Indonesia (ORKI) Kota Tangerang Selatan  untuk mengetahui bagaimana cara berinvestasi dan memilih jenis investasi keuangan yang sesuai dengan kemampuan ekonomi di kalangan anggota ORKI. Tujuan utamanya yaitu memberikan pemahaman, pengarahan dan pengetahuan kepada para peserta mengenai pentingnya pelatihan dan penyuluhan tentang investasi keuangan di kalangan anggota Organisasi Kebugaran Indonesia (ORKI) Kota Tangerang Selatan seperti investasi logam mulia. Metode pelakasanaan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada anggota Organisasi Kebugaran Indonesia (ORKI) Kota Tangerang Selatan. Tim pelaksana  melakukan kegiatan pemberian materi berupa pelatihan dan penyuluhan tentang cara berinvestasi logam mulia melalui manual dan dunia digital dengan modal yang minim untuk mendapat keuntungan di masa mendatang. Berdasar dari identifikasi awal ini maka pemberian pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang manfaat berinvestasi emas karena dengan adanya pengetahuan tersebut peserta di harapkan mampu mengaplikasikan investasi logam mulia melalui manual dan digital sehingga dapat memberikan keuntungan di masa mendatang. Tujuan utama dari pelatihan investasi  ini adalah dapat memperluas ilmu pengetahuan tentang investasi keuangan yang dapat memberikan dampak positif di masa depan untuk para anggota Organisasi Kebugaran Indonesia (ORKI) Kota Tangerang Selatan.

Abstract

Scientific writing is an essential skill that students, particularly those in Vocational High Schools (SMK), need to master. However, many students face challenges in understanding research methodology and technical skills, often resulting in scientific works that do not meet academic standards. This study aims to enhance students' scientific writing skills through training based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. This Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted at SMK Binusa, South Tangerang City, involving 22 participants from the Computer Network Engineering department. The implementation method consisted of theory sessions, practical sessions, and workshop discussions. Evaluation was carried out using pre-tests and post-tests to measure participants' understanding improvements. The training results revealed that most participants showed enhanced scientific writing abilities, with 43% rated as excellent and 31% as good. Additionally, the training materials and instructor quality were positively evaluated, with 57% of participants rating the materials as excellent and 60% rating the instructors as excellent. This training provided significant benefits, particularly in fostering innovation and participants' digital literacy skills. Nevertheless, several areas for improvement were identified, such as delivering more interactive materials and diversifying training methods. This program recommends integrating interactive technology and continuous training to support the development of scientific writing skills for vocational students, thereby enhancing their competitiveness in the future.

Abstract

Digital crime, or cybercrime, is an increasingly prevalent threat in today’s digital era. This type of crime not only poses a risk to individuals but also damages the reputation of organizations and even nations. In this context, socialization plays a crucial role in raising public awareness about the dangers of digital crime and methods for prevention. This study aims to analyze how effective socialization can reduce the risks of digital crime within modern society. Through various educational approaches, such as seminars, digital campaigns, and the use of social media, the public is expected to recognize the signs of digital crime and protect themselves from these threats. The findings of this research indicate that the level of public understanding of digital crime increases with the intensity of socialization efforts. Therefore, continuous socialization involving various elements of society is key to preventing digital crime.

Abstract

This teacher portfolio creation training using Google Sites aims to improve teachers' digital competence in documenting best learning practices. Through this training, it is expected that teachers will be able to utilize Google Sites features to create professional and interactive portfolios. This portfolio not only functions as proof of performance, but also as a tool for reflection and continuous professional development. The results of this training show a significant increase in teachers' ability to use digital technology for learning purposes and improving the quality of education. This training was conducted by lecturers from Pamulang University to teachers at SDN Keroncong 1 Tangerang, designed to equip teachers with technical skills in using Google Sites. Through presentations, as well as participant observation, the training improved teachers' abilities in designing, developing, and managing digital portfolios. In addition, teachers were also motivated to develop innovative learning practices. The results of this community service concluded that portfolio creation training using Google Sites is an effective step in improving teachers' digital competence and the quality of learning in schools.

Abstract

Community service is an integral part of the Tridharma of Higher Education, aimed at making a tangible contribution to society. This activity was carried out at SMPN 3 Pagedangan under the theme "Introduction and Implementation of UI/UX and Basic Web Programming." The program aimed to enhance students' digital literacy as preparation for navigating the increasingly advanced technological era. The methods implemented in this program included material delivery, interactive discussions, and practical sessions. Students were introduced to fundamental concepts of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design, such as visual hierarchy and navigation, as well as basic web programming using HTML and CSS. The results demonstrated that students successfully grasped the basic concepts of UI/UX and applied basic programming skills to create simple web page structures. Furthermore, the program enhanced students' critical thinking, logical reasoning, and creativity. However, challenges such as limited time and resources affected the optimization of the outcomes. This program is expected to serve as an initial step in preparing a young generation with strong digital literacy skills, capable of adapting to technological challenges in the future. The findings highlight the need for adequate infrastructure support and more structured planning to ensure the sustainability of similar programs.

Abstract

Enhancing community understanding of web technology is a strategic step in addressing the demands of the digital era. In a socialization program at the Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM) Kolong Ciputat, we introduced the concept of flexible web design utilizing Bootstrap 5. This framework offers ready-to-use components and a grid system that simplifies the creation of responsive designs. This article explores the methods implemented during the program, the outcomes achieved, and the evaluation of its effectiveness. The results indicate that participants successfully grasped fundamental concepts and implemented Bootstrap 5 to develop responsive web designs.

Abstract

Smartphone use has become a global phenomenon that has a major impact on people's lives, including teenagers. On the one hand, smartphones provide significant benefits, such as easy access to information, global communication and opportunities for self-development. However, on the other hand, smartphone misuse can cause various problems, such as addiction, decreased quality of social interactions, and exposure to negative content. This research aims to introduce and socialize the positive and negative influences of smartphones to Karang Taruna youth, as an educational medium that is relevant to the development of information technology. This activity is carried out through a participatory approach involving introductory sessions, group discussions, case simulations, and comprehensive evaluations. Data was collected using pre- and post-activity survey methods to measure participants' level of understanding. The results showed that 85% of participants experienced increased understanding of digital literacy, cyber security and time management using smartphones. This activity also encourages participants' critical awareness to use smartphones wisely and productively, in line with Karang Taruna's educational values. This research concludes that introducing and socializing the influence of smartphones through an educational approach can be an effective strategy in shaping positive attitudes and behavior of teenagers in the digital era. Therefore, it is recommended to develop sustainable programs that involve stakeholders, such as educators, parents and youth communities, to support ethical and innovative digital literacy..
