Abstract

The rising popularity of influencers on social media has shaped consumer behavior, including the tendency to buy overpriced products with questionable quality. This study aims to analyze public perceptions of such products promoted by influencers and their impact on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). A qualitative netnographic approach was employed on the TikTok platform by observing public comments and user interactions. The findings reveal that while some consumers are influenced by personal branding, many express criticism over the fairness of prices. Meanwhile, MSMEs offering similar products at affordable prices struggle with limited digital exposure. These results highlight the inequality in digital marketing and the need for greater consumer awareness about product value. The study concludes that personal branding significantly influences consumption patterns, but not always in alignment with fair pricing principles.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategies implemented by the Ran Flow Palu MSME to attract consumer interest and their impact on the sustainability of the business. The study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach and was conducted at Ran Flow Palu. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation with the business owner as the primary informant. The results indicate that Ran Flow Palu implements a marketing strategy through segmentation, targeting, positioning, and the marketing mix (4Ps): product, price, place, and promotion. This strategy has proven effective in building the image of an aesthetic, varied, and affordable bouquet shop, especially for the student and school market segment. Factors such as product quality, more affordable prices, a strategic location, and the use of social media also contribute to the success of this business.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the utilization of behaviorist learning theory to strengthen deep learning instruction through a systematic literature review approach. Deep learning, as a branch of artificial intelligence, demands high-level conceptual understanding and technical skills. Meanwhile, behaviorist theory offers structured learning principles—such as reinforcement, stimulus-response, and repetition—that are relevant for building disciplined and goal-oriented learning processes. A review of scientific literature from 2020 to 2025 indicates that the application of behaviorist principles can enhance student motivation, concept retention, and technical proficiency in mastering deep learning materials. Positive reinforcement and immediate feedback have been shown to effectively reinforce desired learning behaviors, while systematic repetition improves long-term retention and problem-solving abilities. Furthermore, integrating behaviorist principles into digital learning systems increases the effectiveness of adaptive and self-directed learning. Nevertheless, behaviorism should be combined with cognitive and constructivist approaches to achieve more comprehensive learning outcomes. This study recommends the strategic use of behaviorism as a foundational framework in the design of deep learning instruction in higher education settings.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the use of Gowe Nilare, a traditional Nias game, as a culturally based learning medium in teaching the concept of circles. The research employed a literature review approach, collecting and analyzing sources related to local culture, mathematical concepts of circles, and experiential learning theory. The findings indicate that Gowe Nilare physically and structurally represents the concept of a circle, both in the formation of players and in the repetitive, cyclical rhythm of movements. The use of this medium not only reinforces students' understanding of circles in a concrete and contextual manner but also enhances engagement and motivation through an instructional approach that integrates local cultural values. Furthermore, Gowe Nilare serves as a tool to strengthen cultural identity and social values such as togetherness and collaboration in the learning process. Thus, Gowe Nilare can be considered an effective and relevant alternative learning medium, while also supporting the preservation of traditional culture within modern educational contexts. This study recommends the broader development and implementation of culturally based learning media to enrich teaching methods in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the geometric values embedded in the baluse, a traditional shield of the Nias people, through an ethnomathematical approach. The primary focus of this research is to identify the flat shapes reflected in the visual structure of the baluse and to analyze its potential as a learning medium for introducing the concept of two-dimensional shapes at the elementary and secondary school levels. This study employs a literature review method by examining various cultural texts, visual documentation, and previous studies relevant to the fields of ethnomathematics and culturally-based mathematics education. The findings reveal that the baluse visually incorporates flat geometric shapes such as ellipses, circles, and vertical symmetry. This structure holds significant potential as a contextual teaching medium that can enhance students’ understanding of geometric concepts through cultural perspectives. Furthermore, the results reinforce the idea that mathematics learning integrated with local wisdom not only increases student engagement but also contributes to cultural preservation. The study recommends the development of instructional media and classroom experiments based on the baluse to evaluate its effectiveness in educational practice.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the integration of kinship and solidarity values derived from the Hombo Batu tradition into student character education to reduce conflicts in a senior high school in South Nias, Indonesia. Hombo Batu, a culturally significant local practice, emphasizes mutual cooperation, collective responsibility, and respect for peers and elders. Despite its potential, the values of Hombo Batu are rarely incorporated into formal educational settings, leaving students prone to interpersonal conflicts and diminished social cohesion. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining surveys, observations, and interviews with students and teachers to assess changes in attitudes, behavior, and peer interactions following a series of value-based educational interventions. The intervention included peer-group activities, reflective discussions, and culturally framed conflict-resolution exercises. Results indicate that students internalized kinship and solidarity values, demonstrated increased empathy, and engaged in cooperative behaviors that significantly reduced instances of conflict. Furthermore, institutional strategies such as monthly “Solidarity Sessions” and student “Kinship Ambassadors” helped embed these values into the school’s daily culture. The findings suggest that character education rooted in local wisdom not only enhances students’ ethical development but also fosters a harmonious learning environment. This culturally grounded approach provides a model that can be adapted in other schools seeking to strengthen social cohesion and reduce conflict through contextually relevant character education.
