Abstract

Global economic crises and financial uncertainties often affect the welfare of society, particularly in terms of personal financial management. Therefore, it is essential to enhance financial literacy among communities so they can manage financial resources wisely and survive during times of crisis. This community service program aims to provide economic education to the people of Hilionaha Village regarding healthy and sustainable personal financial management. The methods used include community-based training, workshops, individual coaching, and group discussions, all aimed at developing understanding and skills in household budgeting, savings planning, and basic investment strategies. The results of this activity show a significant increase in the community's understanding of how to manage their finances, as well as their ability to create realistic budgets and prioritize spending. However, challenges such as limited access to financial institutions and restricted income remain barriers. Overall, this community service activity has had a positive impact on personal financial management at the household level and is expected to strengthen the economic resilience of the people of Hilionaha Village in facing financial challenges

Abstract

This community service aims to strengthen the teaching of mathematics and natural sciences (Science) in schools in South Nias through the integration of local wisdom values. With a cultural-based approach, this service focuses on developing teaching methods that not only introduce scientific concepts but also connect the lessons to students' experiences, traditions, and local customs. The activities involve teachers and students in the development of learning media based on local wisdom, teacher training, and the implementation of project-based learning models. The results of this service show that the integration of local wisdom in teaching enhances students' understanding of mathematical and science concepts, strengthens their motivation to learn, and preserves local cultural values. Additionally, teachers acquired new skills in developing contextual and creative teaching methods. This service makes a positive contribution to both the preservation of culture and the development of education that is more relevant to the local context.

Abstract

Of the 18 existing character values, one of them is the creative character value. Creative character has an important role in shaping student character and creativity. The aim of this service is expected to be to build students' creativity to be creative and express themselves through art, and to introduce students to Central Kalimantan batik motifs as part of their cultural identity. The method used is presentation of the material, then continued with practice. This service activity was carried out for one day, namely on Friday 18 October 2024 at SD IT Al-Furqan Palangka Raya, involving grade 5 students of Ibnu Qoyyim SD IT Al-Furqan Palangka Raya. The result of this activity is that students are creative and express themselves through art, and can provide direct experience in making handicrafts. Through this activity, students did it enthusiastically and enthusiastically.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide education and socialization regarding the Regional Regulation of the Master Plan for Tourism Development to the community of Bawönahönö Village, Fanayama District, South Nias Regency. The purpose of this socialization is to enhance the community's understanding of the importance of regulations in managing tourism based on the local wisdom and culture of South Nias. The method used in this activity involves presenting material followed by a question-and-answer session, where participants, consisting of the village head, customary leaders, religious leaders, youth, and local community members, were given the opportunity to discuss the existing regulations and their roles in the development of the tourism sector. The results of this activity indicate that the community is increasingly aware of the importance of regional regulations in creating sustainable tourist destinations. Additionally, there was an agreement to engage the community more actively in the preservation of culture and management of tourist attractions. Therefore, this activity is expected to strengthen community participation in tourism development and preserve the local culture of South Nias.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the collaboration between teachers and students in the implementation of interactive learning with Team Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative model in class IV of Al Furqan Palangka Raya Integrated Islamic Elementary School in IPAS subject. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that collaboration between teachers and students was effective through clear division of roles and intensive communication. The implementation of the Team Games Tournament model succeeded in increasing students' active involvement in learning, as well as motivating them through the elements of games and competition. In addition, students' learning outcomes also improved. However, some obstacles arose related to time management and differences in student understanding, which could be overcome by adjusting learning strategies. This study concludes that teacher-student collaboration and the use of Team Games Tournament are effective in creating interactive and meaningful learning.

Abstract

Quran education is an important aspect in the development of a Muslim's personality and spirituality. Effective learning is necessary for maximum understanding and mastery of the Quran. This study aims to analyse student support in learning the Tirawati method at SDIT Al-Konita which is used to improve the ability to read the Quran. The Thilawati method is an approach that combines classical habituation techniques with a balanced personal system, emphasising the correct reading and understanding of tajweed and Makraj. This study used participatory action research (PAR) method where teachers, students, and support team participated in planning, implementing, and evaluating the learning process. The results showed that intensive learning successfully improved students' Quran reading skills, resulting in significant improvements in reading fluency and memorisation accuracy. The funding created an interactive and collaborative learning atmosphere, which had a positive impact on students' motivation and interest in learning the Quran. Despite challenges such as students' different learning speeds and time constraints, solutions such as splitting groups and increasing time have been effective. This programme has contributed significantly to the success of Al-Quran learning at SDIT Al-Konita and can be a model for other Islamic educational institutions that best apply the Tilawati Method.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to socialize the development of the Nias traditional house as an important element of local culture that unites the aspects of art, language, and traditional wisdom. The Nias traditional house, known as Omo Hada, is a symbol of cultural identity with historical, architectural, and spiritual values. This activity educates the community on the importance of preserving the Nias traditional house and its role in maintaining the diversity of local culture amidst the pressures of globalization. Through a participatory approach, this socialization involves the community in understanding the philosophy embedded in the structure and ornamentation of the traditional house, as well as how the local language plays a role in conveying cultural messages through each element of the house. Using methods such as lectures, discussions, and exhibitions, this activity aims to raise public awareness of the importance of maintaining and developing traditional houses as part of cultural heritage that must be passed on to future generations.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa kelas 1 di MIS Miftahul Huda 2 Kota Palangka Raya melalui bimbingan belajar (bimbel) membaca. Permasalahan utama yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan membaca siswa, yang teridentifikasi melalui observasi kelas. Terdapat tujuh siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam membaca, bahkan dalam mengeja huruf-huruf sederhana. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, peneliti melaksanakan program bimbel membaca yang dirancang khusus untuk membantu siswa agar dapat membaca dengan lancar. Metode yang digunakan dalam bimbel ini adalah pembelajaran secara bertahap, di mana siswa diberikan kesempatan untuk membaca secara bergiliran, dengan pengawasan langsung dari pengajar. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil yang positif, di mana semua siswa yang mengikuti program bimbel menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan membaca. Evaluasi dilakukan setelah empat bulan, dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang sebelumnya kesulitan membaca kini dapat membaca dengan lancar. Program bimbel membaca ini memberikan manfaat tidak hanya dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa, tetapi juga mempererat kerjasama antara orang tua dan sekolah. Diharapkan agar program serupa dapat terus dilaksanakan guna menjaga kelancaran membaca siswa di masa depan. Kata kunci: (Membaca, Peningkatan,Bimbingan ) Abstract This study aims to improve the reading skills of grade 1 students at MIS Miftahul Huda 2 Palangka Raya City through reading tutoring. The main problem behind this study is the low reading ability of students, which was identified through classroom observation. There were seven students who had difficulty in reading, even in spelling simple letters. To overcome this, the researcher implemented a reading tutoring program specifically designed to help students to read fluently. The method used in this tutoring is gradual learning, where students are given the opportunity to read in turn, with direct supervision from the teacher. The study showed positive results, where all students who participated in the tutoring program showed significant improvement in reading skills. An evaluation was conducted after four months, and the results showed that students who previously struggled with reading could now read fluently. This reading tutoring program provides benefits not only in improving students' reading skills, but also in strengthening the cooperation between parents and schools. It is hoped that similar programs can continue to be implemented to maintain students' reading fluency in the future. Keywords: (Reading, Improvement, Guidance)

Abstract

The purpose of writing this community service article is to provide assistance to students in reading Iqro and the Qur'an in order to improve the quality of reading in accordance with the rules of tajwid science. MI Darul Ulum Palangka Raya City has its own challenges, namely that there are still many students who are not fluent in reading Iqro and the Qur'an so that they require intensive teaching. Assistance in reading Iqro and the Qur'an with tajwid to improve the quality of students' reading with the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) method is an appropriate solution in order to develop the assets that each student already has. This community service aims to explore the effectiveness of this assistance in the context of improving the quality of students' reading in reading Iqro' and the Qur'an. The ABCD method is used as a framework, where this approach emphasizes the use of local potential and resources available in the community to overcome problems. Assistance is carried out by several students who are not yet fluent in reciting the Koran to support the assistance activities for reading Iqro' and the Qur'an with tajwid. The results of the community service show that mentoring the reading of Iqro and the Qur'an with tajwid is able to improve the quality of students. MI Darul Ulum Palangka Raya. The existence of this community service program is to be more intense in teaching students to read Iqro' and the Qur'an, and to make students more enthusiastic to continue learning routinely every day to develop the quality of their reading in reading Iqro' and also the Qur'an. With the ABCD method, mentoring the reading of Iqro' and the Qur'an has opened up opportunities for teachers and students to improve the quality of religious learning, as well as empowering local communities in facing educational challenges.

Abstract

Creativity plays an important role in improving the quality of life of the community, especially in villages with limited resources. This community service focuses on efforts to foster creativity and awareness of environmental conservation in Hilidohona Village through private tutoring programs and the production of environmentally friendly dishwashing soap. The private tutoring program is designed to improve the cognitive and social skills of children and adolescents in the village, with an emphasis on creative problem solving. Meanwhile, the initiative to make environmentally friendly dishwashing soap aims to reduce the use of hazardous chemicals that can pollute the environment, as well as provide economic value to the community. The collaboration between these two programs is expected to create a more innovative mindset while supporting the sustainability of the family economy and the environment in Hilidohona Village, Siduaori District. Initial results show an increase in environmental awareness and creative thinking skills among participants, which has the potential to bring long-term positive changes to Hilidohona Village.
