Abstract

Advent is a period of preparation for the coming of the Lord. The Imanuel Surbung GMIT in Alor Regency celebrates Advent for four consecutive weeks. Usually, during this time of waiting, many Christians everywhere are busy preparing for the coming of the Lord in the moment of Christmas celebration by outwardly preparing their needs. Therefore, through the pulpit sermon service, the author teaches in the form of ‘preaching’ by giving lectures and asking the congregation questions, with the aim of enabling the congregation to understand, reflect on and interpret the meaning of the word delivery. Questions are also asked so that the teaching through sermons is not one-way, so that the congregation also thinks, reflects and reflects. The aim is to invite the congregation to truly interpret and understand the advent season and through teaching in the form of sermons to provide a correct understanding of the appropriate way to welcome and await the coming of Jesus Christ through the word of God in the reading of the text Luke 3: 7-20 and the theme of straightening the path of life. As a result, the sermon delivered consisted of several reflective questions and two Christian values that became implications for the congregation, namely living in repentance and living in humility and becoming a blessing as an effort to straighten out one's path in life while awaiting the coming of the Lord.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role and level of participation of young Catholics in church life at Waiwadan station. Using a descriptive qualitative research method, this study examines various forms of youth involvement in church activities, factors that influence their participation, and challenges faced in efforts to increase such participation. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation studies involving young Catholics, church leaders, and local community leaders. At Waiwadan station, the problem faced by young Catholics is that they do not fully appreciate church life and spiritual life, so that some of them follow a worldly lifestyle rather than a spiritual lifestyle. Young Catholics are encouraged to participate in various church activities, which aim to arouse their enthusiasm in getting to know and deepening the Christian faith. The church is expected to provide attention and care in the apostolic task so that young people can live their faith. The research location was at Waiwadan station. The results of the study showed that the participation of young Catholics at Waiwadan station still needs to be improved in various aspects of church life. Some factors that influence their level of participation include understanding of faith, family support, youth development programs, and opportunities given to be actively involved in church services. This study recommends the need to develop more systematic development programs, improve intergenerational communication, and create a wider space for young people to actualize themselves in church life.

The results of this study are to summarize the importance of financial literacy in family financial management, especially for the millennial generation, as well as its impact on the quality of life and long-term financial well-being. This research can provide useful insights for many families, especially millennials who are struggling to adjust to an increasingly complex financial world.

Through technological innovation, more efficient management of nature, and access to a wider range of markets, local farmers can increase their agricultural yields, reduce production costs, and improve socio-economic well-being. Abstract

Several problems with the Citarum River include damage to land in the watershed, deteriorating water quality as a result of pollution, and uncontrolled use of water space. Pollution comes from agricultural and livestock activities, as well as domestic and industrial waste. The Student Real Work Lecture (KKNM) themed Citarum Harum is a Community Service (PKM) activity carried out Cikutra Village, Cibeunying Kidul District, Bandung City as the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The implementation of this PKM uses descriptive methods where data collection is done using observation, interviews, and literature studies. Other methods used are discussion, outreach, and demonstration. The programs carried out include the observation of Cikutra River, the socialization of the Citarum Harum program material launched by the Environment Agency, and the making of the "Sungaiku Indah" Video Screening. Based on observations, the "Sungaiku Indah" Video Screening program which involved all village officials and the Cikutra community was able to increase awareness in maintaining Cikutra River in supporting the Citarum Harum program.

The application of the green economy concept in the local agricultural sector can have a positive impact on increasing productivity, especially with an approach that focuses on sustainability and wise management of natural resources. By involving the community in the development of creativity-based products, as well as introducing educational and environmentally friendly tourism, local communities can become the main actors in creating tourism that is not only economically beneficial, but also socially and ecologically responsible. However, challenges such as access to capital, infrastructure, and managerial knowledge need to be addressed with support from governments, the private sector, and educational institutions to ensure that the creative economy can develop sustainably in context.

Abstract

Improving early reading literacy in early childhood remains a critical challenge in education, especially under the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes meaningful and child-centered learning. One relevant pedagogical approach is deep learning, which focuses on reflective thinking, critical engagement, and active student participation. This community service activity aimed to enhance the competencies of kindergarten teachers across Purwakarta Regency in designing and implementing early reading instruction based on the deep learning approach. The implementation method included interactive seminars, hands-on sessions, reflective discussions, and evaluations through pre-test and post-test assessments. A total of 50 teachers participated in this program. The results showed a significant increase in teachers’ understanding of early literacy concepts and their ability to apply deep learning strategies, with an average score improvement of 30%. In addition, positive changes in teachers' attitudes toward innovative teaching methods were observed through qualitative feedback and observation. This program demonstrates that the deep learning approach is effectively applicable in early childhood education settings and contributes to improving the quality of early literacy instruction. The study recommends continuous professional development, policy support from local education authorities, and the development of supporting learning media to strengthen the application of this approach. Therefore, this activity not only addresses the practical needs of teachers but also enriches pedagogical strategies in early childhood education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms, processes, and impacts of muallaf (convert to Islam) development carried out through the Field Work Lecture (Kuliah Kerja Lapangan or KKL) activities in Dusun Manjau, Laman Satong Village, North Matan Hilir District, Ketapang Regency. The development program was conducted in five main forms: personal mentoring, Islamic studies, Qur’an reading courses, religious consultations, and development through silaturahmi (social visits). The research method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that personal mentoring plays a crucial role in building emotional closeness and spiritual motivation among the muallaf. Islamic studies and Qur’an reading courses help improve understanding and worship skills. Religious consultations provide space for muallaf to express the problems they face, while silaturahmi activities strengthen social bonds between muallaf and the local Muslim community. Overall, the KKL activities significantly contribute to the strengthening of faith, worship skills, and the social integration of muallaf in their new environment.
