Istoria: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Batanghari diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Batanghari. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali setahun, setiap bulan April dan September yang berisi hasil penelitian (lapangan atau studi pustaka) kajian teoretis maupun kajian kritis. Jurnal ini merupakan salah satu media publikasi bagi penelitian dengan kajian terkini dalam bidang sejarah dan pendidikan sejarah yang meliputi ranah sejarah dan pembelajaran sejarah itu sendiri. Dalam penelitian sejarah teoritis dan kritis mencakup sejarah dunia, sejarah Indonesia, dan sejarah lokal sedangkan pada bidang pendidikan sejarah mencakup strategi pembelajaran sejarah, metode pembelajaran sejarah, evaluasi pembelajaran sejarah, dan hal-hal lain yang berkaitan dengan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan sejarah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the project-based learning model of mosque models and ancient tombs of Islamic historical heritage in Jambi City on the critical thinking skills of class X students of SMA Negeri 8 Jambi City in the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method that is the population in this study is class X students at SMA Negeri 8 Jambi City, the sample used in this study was 72 students. The data collection technique used by the researcher in the research to be carried out is a questionnaire and practice questions. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out on the results of the hypothesis test using the Paired Samples Test, it shows that there is an effect of the project-based learning model of mosque models and ancient tombs of Islamic historical heritage in Jambi City on the Critical Thinking Skills of Class X Students of SMA Negeri 8 Jambi City in the experimental group, as evidenced by the sig. 2 tailed value is smaller than 0.05 (0.002 <0.05), so, the hypothesis that states there is a significant influence between the project-based learning model of mosque models and ancient tombs of Islamic historical heritage in Jambi City on the critical thinking skills of class X students of SMA Negeri 8 Jambi City.

Abstract

This research and development aims to produce learning media products in the form of Popup Books in learning the history of the communication and information technology revolution after Indonesia's independence period in Class XII MAN 5 Batanghari. The development model used adopts the Lee and owen model which consists of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation which is abbreviated as ADDIE. The research subjects of class XII students numbered 25 people. In the one to one trial stage (individual) 4 people obtained a percentage value of 70.37% which was classified in the category "Good", at the small group stage ( Medium group) amounted to 8 students obtained a percentage of 76.51% "Very Good", and at the stage of large group test or field test amounted to 25 students obtained a percentage of 85.11% which was classified in the category "Very Good". The results of this study as a whole obtained from the percentage at each stage obtained a percentage value of 77.33% which is classified as "Very Good".

Abstract

This research aims to explain the history of the establishment of Senawar Jaya Village and understand the social conditions of Senawar Jaya Village. The research method used is the historical method, following systematic principles in collecting historical sources. The research stages include the collection of heuristic sources, criticism, interpretation, historiography, and interviews to complement the obtained data.The theory used in this research is the bottom-up and top-down village development theory by Shabbir Cheema and Dennis Rondinelli, which states that both the central and local governments make efforts to encourage development. The research findings indicate significant progress in the development of Senawar Jaya Village, although it took a considerable amount of time. This village development also involved various parties, such as the central and local governments, as well as the residents of Senawar Jaya Village, and had an impact on the village’s inhabitants.

Abstract

The use of appropriate media, especially in history learning, is very important to improve student learning outcomes. The results of interviews with teachers showed that the limitations of learning media cause students to tend to be passive and have poor understanding of the material. Therefore, the E-Module is designed to provide opportunities for students to learn independently with interesting and easy-to- understand material. The research method used in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE approach which contains analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of the E-Module for history learning. After conducting the research, it can be concluded that the E-Module developed has a very high level of validity, with validation results from material experts of 95%, language experts of 92%, and media experts of 97%. This module has also proven effective with student response percentage results of 96% and teacher responses of 97%. This History Learning E-Module achieved learning outcomes of 88%. This E-Module is expected to improve students' understanding and learning outcomes of history, as well as facilitate more interactive and independent learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the Legend of the Orang Kayo Hitam as a historical source in the form of oral traditions and explain the historical values contained in the Legend of the Orang Kayo Hitam including religious, cultural and moral values. The method used in this research is a historical research method which consists of several stages, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The primary sources used in this research were interviews with traditional elders, caretakers of the Tanjabtim Black Kayo people's cemetery, Jambi city residents. Meanwhile, secondary sources used are books, theses, journals and internet sources. The research results provide an explanation that the Legend of the Black Kayo People is a folk tale that has become an oral tradition in Jambi since the Islamic period until now, even the Black Kayo People today have become city icons such as the Keris Siginjei Monument, the name of the street, all of which are still tied to the Legend of the Black Kayo People. Apart from that, researchers also found that the legend of the Black Kayo People still has religious value and there are still many people who worship the Black Kayo People.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant effect of using flipchart learning media in history subjects on student learning outcomes. class X SMA Aisyiyah 1 Palembang Academic Year 2023/2024. The type of research is a quasi-experiment. Data Collection Techniques using Observation, Interviews, Documentation, and Tests. Data Analysis: Prerequisite Tests are divided into 2, Normality Test and Homogeneity Test, Instrument Quality Tests are divided into 2, Validity and Reliability Tests, and Hypothesis Testing. The conclusion shows the Effect of Flipchart Media in the material of the Samudera Pasai kingdom in history subjects. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the correlation coefficient value of history learning outcomes against flipchart media seen from the pre-test and post-test is 2.485 ≥0.05. this is proven through hypothesis testing, which shows a sig.t value of 0.000 ≤ 0.05 (significant), so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that flipchart learning media has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Aisyiyah 1 Palembang with the material of the Samudera Pasai Kingdom.

Abstract

Pakualaman is one of the autonomous regions in Java that has an indigenous judicial institution. This institution requires bureaucracy to support the implementation of justice. The aim of this research is to understand the history of the Pakualaman Court bureaucracy from its inception to its demise. To obtain a comprehensive picture of the Pakualaman Court bureaucracy, historical research methods are required, consisting of topic selection, source collection, verification, interpretation, and writing. The research results show that the Pakualaman Court bureaucracy began to take shape during the reign of Paku Alam V and was abolished by the Dutch in the early 20th century. Throughout its existence, this bureaucracy was never free from Dutch intervention, which influenced various aspects of administration and policy.

Abstract

This study aims to de$te$rmine$ the$ de$ve$lopme$nt, e$ligibility and re$sponse$ of stude$nts to animate$d vide$o le$arning me$dia in le$arning the$ history of Pre$-Ancie$nt Pe$riod mate$rial class X.1 SMA Ne$ge$ri 1 Bandar Lampung. The$ re$se$arch me$thod use$d is R&D (re$se$arch and de$ve$lopme$nt) and through the$ ADDIE$ de$ve$lopme$nt proce$dure$, and through the$ ADDIE$ de$ve$lopme$nt proce$dure$ which consists of analysis, de$sign, de$ve$lopme$nt, imple$me$ntation, and e$valuation. Product validation was comple$te$d by linguist validators who state$d that the$ animate$d vide$o le$arning me$dia for le$arning the$ history of the$ Pre$-Ancie$nt Pe$riod mate$rial de$ve$lope$d obtaine$d an asse$ssme$nt re$sult of 4.6 with the$ inte$rpre$tation crite$ria “ve$ry valid”, while$ the$ re$sults of the$ mate$rial e$xpe$rt validation state$d that the$ animate$d vide$o le$arning me$dia for le$arning the$ history of the$ Pre$-Ancie$nt Pe$riod mate$rial de$ve$lope$d obtaine$d an asse$ssme$nt re$sult of 4.5 with the$ inte$rpre$tation crite$ria “ve$ry valid”, the$n the$ re$sults of the$ me$dia e$xpe$rt validation state$d that the$ animate$d vide$o le$arning me$dia for le$arning the$ history of the$ Pre$-Ancie$nt Pe$riod mate$rial de$ve$lope$d obtaine$d an asse$ssme$nt re$sult of 4.2 with the$ inte$rpre$tation crite$ria “ve$ry valid”. Abstract

The problem in this research concerns women who work at the Gado-Gado Wara-Wiri stall. The main problem in this research is the life, career and role of women in the traditional culinary business Gado-gado Wara-Wiri 1962 – 2020. The aim of this research refers to the problems raised, so the aim is to explain the role and position of women who were figures/actors in a historical event and how to divide the roles into working women and housewives. The method used in this research is a historical research method which consists of several stages, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The primary source used in this research was interviews with women workers and Gado-Gado Wara-Wiri entrepreneurs in Jambi City. Meanwhile, secondary sources used are books, theses, journals and internet sources. The research results provide an explanation of the activities of women working in the Gado-Gado Wara-Wiri business in the city, for a very long time, especially since 1962, this gado-gado business has been managed by women both from the family and recruiting employees from the surrounding community who need work to meet their needs or help their husbands to earn a living. Apart from that, researchers also found that women can carry out a dual role, where apart from being workers, women are also not free from their responsibilities as housewives.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether there is an influence of the use of youtube media on student learning outcomes in history subjects at SMA Negeri 2 Bayung Lencir. The method used is Experiment with the Quasi Experiment type. The sample selection used the Purposive Sampling technique consisting of class X.1 as a control class of 25 students and class X.3 as an experimental class of 25 students. Data collection techniques were obtained from observation, tests and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique consisted of normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. So based on the results of the hypothesis test, the result of tcount = 4.891 and ttable value = 1.677 with α=0.05 and df=48 then 4.891 ≥ 1.677 so that the tcount ≥ ttable then Hα is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that in this study there is an influence of the use of youtube media on student learning outcomes in history subjects at SMA Negeri 2 Bayung Lencir.
