Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of facilities at Sigaran Jiwa Agrotourism, located in Kampung Jayapura, Siak Regency, which has emerged as a significant destination within the region, particularly following the post-COVID-19 recovery. Sigaran Jiwa Agrotourism is centered around agricultural-based tourism activities and has witnessed a steady increase in visitors, drawing interest for its unique blend of nature and agro-education experiences. This research employs a qualitative approach, gathering data through a combination of field observations, in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including site managers, staff, and visitors, as well as reviewing relevant secondary sources such as financial and maintenance reports. The findings reveal that, while the number of visitors has consistently increased from 2020 to 2023, the site’s facility management is currently facing several challenges related to the upkeep and further development of essential infrastructure. Notably, certain facilities, such as gazebos, observation towers, and playgrounds, are well-maintained and contribute to the positive visitor experience. However, other critical areas, such as parking spaces, toilets, and accessibility for the disabled, require significant improvement to meet growing demand and enhance visitor satisfaction. The study concludes that, with strategic improvements in facility management and stronger support from local authorities and stakeholders, Sigaran Jiwa Agrotourism holds great potential to further develop into a leading and sustainable tourism destination within Siak Regency, contributing not only to local economic growth but also promoting eco-friendly tourism practices.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of influencer marketing on social media, specifically Instagram, as a strategic marketing approach in the hospitality industry, with a focus on Hotel Royal Palm Jakarta. Recognizing the importance of social media in contemporary travel information access, the research highlights how hotels can leverage influencers to establish and maintain strong customer relationships. The hotel utilizes influencer marketing to promote its affordable "all you can eat" events, demonstrating an effective strategy for increasing brand awareness and attracting customers. The selection criteria for influencers are established, focusing on food vloggers and hotel reviewers, with rigorous evaluation processes supported by the Phlanx software. This study reveals that successful influencer campaigns positively impact guest reservation decisions and meet customer expectations. Data from interviews with fifteen hotel guests indicates a strong correlation between influencer content and guest satisfaction, leading to repeat visits. While the research acknowledges limitations, such as the small sample size and focus on the management team, it offers valuable insights into the effectiveness of influencer marketing in the hospitality sector. The findings contribute to the literature on digital marketing strategies and provide recommendations for future research, including exploring influencer roles on emerging platforms like TikTok and considering different hotel brands to broaden the scope of understanding.

Abstract

This quantitative study aims to analyze the effect of travel risk perception on tourist intention, with travel anxiety as a mediating variable, in the context of adventure tourism at CV. Wisata Outbound Indonesia. Using a descriptive and verificative approach, data were collected from 189 respondents via an online survey, with a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring key variables. Path analysis was employed to examine both the direct and indirect effects of travel risk perception on tourist intention. The results show that travel risk perception, which includes environmental risks such as weather conditions, service risks like safety measures, and physical and health risks related to injuries, has a significant positive effect on travel anxiety, with a path coefficient of 0.884. Additionally, travel anxiety negatively impacts tourist intention, with a path coefficient of -0.704, decreasing the likelihood of participating in adventure tourism activities. The overall effect of travel risk perception on tourist intention, mediated by travel anxiety, accounts for 93.6% of the variance (R² = 0.936). These findings demonstrate that higher levels of perceived travel risk lead to increased anxiety, which significantly reduces tourist intention. The research highlights the importance of addressing perceived risks and travel anxiety in order to influence tourist decisions positively. Tourism service providers are advised to enhance risk management and safety communication strategies to mitigate anxiety and increase tourist participation, particularly in high-risk activities like adventure tourism.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the extent to which the InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) policy contributes to encouraging local community involvement in tourism destinations, especially in the Mandalika Lombok area. Local community participation in sustainable tourism is greatly influenced by the policies implemented by ITDC. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods and uses secondary data sources. It is known that ITDC policies have given the community access to new economic opportunities through empowerment and training programs. On the other hand, there are also difficulties that arise, such as limited community participation in strategic decision making and limited access to information and decisions related to tourism development. This research highlights the importance of changing legislation to make it more inclusive to maximize local community involvement, which in turn will promote the sustainability of the region’s tourism industry
