Abstract

This study examines how the philosophical Tri Hita Karana, as a Hindu religious value, has become the foundation of contemporary educational management in seeking the balance between social responsibility and community engagement. One of the purposes of education is to pursue social change in the community through social responsibility. However, cancerous capitalism distorts the meaning of education, leading educational capitalism to focus on economic matters. Therefore, the gap lies in how local culture serves as an inspiration for academic management. So, the Tri Hita Karana philosophy shapes educational management by emphasizing social responsibility and community engagement as the foundation of contemporary management axiology. The sociology of religion approach is applied through critical thinking by drawing on books, articles, journals, academic writings, and older manuscripts to develop an emic perspective. The result of this research is that the meaning of balance in life, which refers to the harmonious coexistence of economic, social, and cultural aspects, provides the foundation for educational management in seeking equilibrium between social responsibility and community engagement. This study concludes that Tri Hita Karana brings together management, education, and philosophy to reinforce one another.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how transformational leadership through delegation affects teachers' productivity at SMAN Merangin.  102 teachers from three senior high schools (SMAN) in Bangko, Merangin, Jambi, participated in the study's quantitative survey design.  Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4 was used to analyze the data.  The measurement tools were modified from Yukl (2020) for delegation, Moeheriono (2020) for work efficiency, and Bass & Riggio (2019) for transformational leadership.  Composite Reliability (CR) > 0.70 and Average Variance Extracted (AVE) > 0.50 indicated strong construct reliability and convergent validity, as demonstrated by the validity and reliability tests. The findings show that delegation has a significant impact on work efficiency (β = 0.49, p < 0.01) and that transformational leadership has a significant impact on delegation (β = 0.58, p < 0.01).  Additionally, the relationship between transformational leadership and work efficiency is mediated by delegation, indicating that effective delegation techniques amplify the beneficial effects of transformational leadership on teacher performance. The study's conclusions imply that, to improve teacher autonomy, accountability, and productivity, school administrators should emphasize delegation as a crucial component of transformational leadership.  Enhancing principals' delegation skills should be the main goal of leadership development programs and training courses.  To encourage long-term effectiveness and teacher empowerment, education policymakers may incorporate delegation-based leadership models into school management frameworks.

Abstract

Multiliteracy focuses on multimodal communication and linguistic and cultural diversity. It is increasingly relevant in 21st-century primary education. In Indonesian elementary English classrooms, multiliteracy opens space for more engaging learning but also introduces pedagogical and infrastructural constraints. This study explores how primary teachers implement multiliteracy-oriented practices in English lessons and identifies the challenges that arise during classroom application. Employing a qualitative case study, data were gathered through interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving six teachers. The results show that teachers integrated various multimodal resources, such as images, songs, videos, and mobile devices. The teachers also applied interactive strategies, including role-play, games, and group discussion. Furthermore, the teachers modified teaching materials to accommodate students’ proficiency levels. Nonetheless, limited student vocabulary, inadequate technological support, and teachers’ restricted English competence emerged as key barriers. Despite these constraints, students responded positively to multimodal and interactive activities, displaying strong enthusiasm and engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

Program Makan Bergizi Gratis membutuhkan model layanan pangan yang efisien dan terstandar, namun sekolah masih menghadapi keterbatasan dalam pengelolaan dapur pendidikan. Ketidaksiapan manajerial dan sanitasi berpotensi menghambat keberhasilan program ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model kesiapan berbasis praktik dapur pesantren yang telah lama mengelola layanan makan massal secara teratur. Subjek penelitian meliputi pengelola dapur, guru atau wali asuh, dan santri dengan jumlah total dua belas partisipan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi dengan instrumen pedoman wawancara serta lembar observasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dapur pesantren memiliki sistem perencanaan menu, alur kerja, dan mekanisme pengadaan yang stabil, serta praktik higienitas yang konsisten. Kedisiplinan santri dalam menjalankan tugas dapur menjadi komponen pembeda yang memperkuat efektivitas model ini dan berpotensi direplikasi dalam konteks sekolah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa manajemen dapur pesantren dapat menjadi rujukan strategis untuk kesiapan implementasi Program Makan Bergizi Gratis.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan akademik di perguruan tinggi masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti rendahnya motivasi kerja dosen, terbatasnya kolaborasi akademik, serta lemahnya keteladanan kepemimpinan yang mampu menginspirasi komunitas akademik. Kondisi ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kinerja dosen tidak hanya ditentukan oleh kebijakan struktural, tetapi juga oleh model kepemimpinan yang mampu membangun makna, nilai, dan komitmen bersama dalam organisasi pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan merekonstruksi model kepemimpinan transformasional berbasis nilai budaya Kula Babong sebagai kerangka konseptual untuk memperkuat kinerja dosen di perguruan tinggi Katolik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan para informan yang terdiri atas tokoh adat dan pelaku budaya yang dipilih secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara tematik melalui tahap reduksi data, kategorisasi, dan interpretasi makna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai Kula Babong seperti kejujuran, solidaritas, musyawarah, dan tanggung jawab moral memiliki kesesuaian konseptual dengan dimensi kepemimpinan transformasional serta berpotensi memperkuat motivasi, kolaborasi akademik, dan komitmen dosen dalam menjalankan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi nilai budaya lokal dalam kepemimpinan akademik dapat menjadi pendekatan kontekstual yang memperkaya praktik kepemimpinan pendidikan tinggi dan memperkuat kinerja dosen secara berkelanjutan.
