Abstract

This study examines the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing financial management, strategic planning, and entrepreneurial success among startups operating in emerging markets, specifically Indonesia. Grounded in the Dynamic Capabilities Theory, this research investigates how AI-driven financial tools and strategic frameworks mediate operational efficiency to produce entrepreneurial growth. An explanatory sequential mixed-methods design was employed, consisting of a quantitative phase surveying 200 Indonesian startups analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), followed by qualitative in-depth interviews with four key informants. The quantitative results reveal that AI integration in financial management (? = 0.312, p < 0.001) and AI-driven strategic planning (? = 0.287, p < 0.001) significantly influence entrepreneurial success, explaining 52.4% of the variance (R² = 0.524). Operational efficiency mediates the relationship between strategic planning and entrepreneurial success (? indirect = 0.099, p < 0.01). Qualitative findings corroborate these results, highlighting practical challenges and contextual enablers of AI adoption. This study contributes to the entrepreneurship literature by extending Teece's dynamic capabilities framework into the AI-driven startup ecosystem of emerging economies, offering both theoretical and managerial implications for sustainable business growth.

Abstract

This article examines how post-Reformasi Indonesian biopic films construct heroism through historical selection, narrative condensation, and cinematic dramatization. The study is significant because biopic films do not merely visualize national figures; they also mediate collective memory, organize public emotion, and reshape the cultural imagination of heroism. Using a qualitative method with narrative analysis and cultural studies perspectives, this article reads six Indonesian biopics: Gie, Soegija, Sang Kiai, Soekarno, Jenderal Soedirman, and Kartini. The analysis focuses on the position of the hero in the plot, selected historical events, causal relations between individual action and social structures, visual-symbolic evidence, and the ideological values naturalized by the resolution. The findings show that post-Reformasi biopics construct heroism through four interrelated patterns. First, they transform historical complexity into popular historiography through selection, emphasis, and condensation. Second, the three-act structure works as an affective and ideological device that guides spectators from recognition of injustice to moral resolution. Third, heroism shifts from a monumental cult of great individuals to more humanized, ambivalent, and contextual figures. Fourth, cinematic space, body, and national symbols function as narrative evidence that links personal struggle with collective meaning. The article concludes that Indonesian hero biopics are arenas of negotiation between history, ideology, collective memory, and popular aesthetics.

Abstract

The increasing complexity of Indonesia’s social diversity reinforces the urgency of strengthening religious moderation at the community level. The existence of rural and urban areas with different social characteristics shapes diverse patterns of interaction and social cohesion, thereby influencing the practice of tolerance in everyday life. Acts of intolerance, particularly in Banten Province, are still found, especially in the form of rejection of the construction of houses of worship for other religions, which are driven by non-compliance with regulations, historical factors, and misunderstandings among religious groups. This condition indicates that the transformation of tolerance behavior has become an urgent necessity. This study aims to analyze the influence of individual profiles, internal factors (knowledge, motivation, and attitudes), and external support (role models, social group support, and religious extension support) on religious tolerance behavior, which is conceptualized through self-efficacy and tolerance practices. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 155 married respondents across four villages/urban wards in Banten Province. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), supported by interview results with community representatives and local leaders. The results show that internal factors have the strongest influence on religious tolerance behavior, followed by individual profiles and external support. These findings emphasize that efforts to enhance religious tolerance should focus on strengthening individuals’ internal capacities, while also fostering a conducive social environment to promote sustainable tolerance practices in both rural and urban communities in Banten Province.

Abstract

This study examines the negotiation process between Arab-Malay nazhom-based Islamic scholarship traditions and the utilisation of information technology in Fiqh Safinah learning at SMK Kesehatan NW Teros, East Lombok. This transformation is understood as a pedagogical refiguration effort that not only preserves traditional values but also adapts them to a more contextual digital ecosystem suited to contemporary learners. An explanatory survey design was employed, measuring the influence of technology-based media on students' levels of comprehension, motivation, and engagement in fiqh learning. Data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to 30 students and analysed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. Results indicate that integrating Arab-Malay nazhom into digital platforms significantly contributes to improvements in students' conceptual and affective understanding of Fiqh Safinah material. Furthermore, information technology proved capable of enhancing the appeal of learning without displacing the substantive tradition of Islamic scholarship. Simple regression analysis yielded a coefficient (? = 0.68, p < 0.001), confirming a statistically significant and strong effect of technology use on learning outcomes. These findings affirm that the negotiation between tradition and technology is not a contradictory relationship but is dialectical and productive in constructing an adaptive and sustainable fiqh learning model.

Abstract

The decline of moral values and character among young generations in the digital era has become a significant challenge for higher education institutions, including Hindu-based colleges. Character education is therefore essential to develop students who possess ethical awareness, responsibility, and positive behavior. This study aims to develop a Tri Kaya Parisudha-based Character Education Internalization Model for strengthening the character of second-semester students. Tri Kaya Parisudha, a fundamental Hindu ethical concept encompassing purity of thought (manacika), speech (wacika), and action (kayika), serves as the philosophical foundation of the model. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The participants were second-semester students at STKIP Agama Hindu Amlapura. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The validity of the model was assessed by experts in character education, Hindu religious education, and instructional design, while practicality and effectiveness were evaluated through field implementation. The findings indicate that the developed model is valid, practical, and effective in strengthening students’ character. The implementation of the model contributed to improvements in ethical awareness, self-discipline, responsibility, honesty, respect, and social behavior. Furthermore, the integration of Tri Kaya Parisudha values into learning activities encouraged students to internalize positive attitudes through reflective thinking, ethical communication, and constructive actions. The study concludes that the Tri Kaya Parisudha-based character education internalization model can serve as an innovative pedagogical framework for character development in higher education, particularly within Hindu educational institutions.

Abstract

Social transformation in multicultural societies often faces the potential for conflict and disintegration due to cultural diversity and the flow of globalization. However, in certain contexts, social change can actually act as an adaptive mechanism in strengthening social cohesion. This study aims to analyze the reinterpretation of the value of “dak kawa nyusah” as form of cultural rationality and its implications for social cohesion in Pangkal Pinang City. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that the value of “dak kawa nyusah” not only functions as a value that encourages tolerance and social harmony, but also as a cultural mechanism that implicitly regulates the boundaries of social interaction. The resulting social cohesion is open and stable, but not fully integrative, characterized by ambivalence between tolerance and the potential for disengagement. In this context, local values play a dual role: as social glue and as a mechanism that limits the dept of social relations. These findings confirm that social cohesion in multicultural societies is not static, but rather the result of a dynamic negotiation process between social structures, cultural values and daily practices.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze technology-based public service innovation within the management of infrastructure development at the Department of Water Resources, Cipta Karya, and Spatial Planning of South Sulawesi Province. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, empirical data were meticulously gathered through semi-structured in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, intensive field observations of digital dashboard operations, and extensive documentation analysis. The collected data were processed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, encompassing data condensation, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the implementation of the E-MONEV (Electronic Monitoring and Evaluation) system represents a paradigm shift from traditional bureaucratic reporting toward modern digital governance. Analyzed through the lens of Stephen P. Osborne’s Innovation in Governance framework, the innovation manifests across three critical dimensions: process innovation, public value, and public service governance. Process innovation is achieved through the integration of real-time tracking, GIS-based mapping, and automated reporting cycles that effectively eliminate manual bottlenecks. Public value is created through heightened transparency, where financial realization is strictly synchronized with physical progress, thereby fostering institutional accountability. Public service governance is reflected in the transition from hierarchical silos to collaborative digital networks involving external contractors and consultants. The study concludes that while E-MONEV has significantly modernized infrastructure supervision, its long-term success is contingent upon addressing the digital literacy gap and ensuring seamless technical integration across provincial systems.

Abstract

Schools are increasingly required to focus not only on academic achievement but also on supporting student development, character building, and psychological well-being. In this context, student mentoring needs to be understood as both a relational and institutional practice that takes place within the school ecosystem. This article aims to synthesize the literature on the institutionalization of a student mentoring culture within a holistic school approach, by examining relational mechanisms, school conditions, and implementation factors that support the sustainability of mentoring practices. This study employs an integrative literature review approach using systematic searches and thematic synthesis. The literature is analyzed through three dimensions. First, relational mechanisms include teacher–student relationships, mentoring, school connectedness, school belonging, and student engagement. Second, school conditions include school climate, school culture, character education, student well-being, and the whole-school approach. Third, institutional factors include implementation quality, sustainability, leadership, ownership, the balance between fidelity and adaptation, and organizational routines. The synthesis indicates that student mentoring is best understood as a relational, ecological, and institutional process that has the potential to support character and psychological well-being when supported by adequate school conditions and implementation. This article is not an evaluation of the effectiveness of a specific program, but rather a literature synthesis that examines the contextual relevance of Indonesian policies.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the Insert Anti-Bullying (IAB) Learning Model in Civics Education (Pendidikan Pancasila) within the topic of Indonesian Social Diversity at Grade VII of SMP Negeri 1 Panyabungan Selatan. The persistent phenomenon of bullying in schools demands a systematic and value-based pedagogical solution. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, this study produced a six-syntax instructional model integrating the five principles of Pancasila as the moral framework for bullying prevention. Expert validation for both content and instructional design achieved an average score of 3.75 (Very Valid). The Paired Sample t-Test yielded t = 18.742 with p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), proving a significant improvement in students' anti-bullying attitudes from a mean score of 51.00 (pretest) to 76.53 (posttest). An average N-Gain of 0.53 (Moderate) and practicality rate of 91.9% (Very Practical) confirm that the IAB model is valid, practical, and effective

Abstract

Public consultation mechanisms represent a critical instrument in participatory policymaking for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) capacity development, yet their legal framework and practical implementation remain underexplored. This study examines the implementation of public consultation as a policy instrument for MSME capacity development in Lumajang Regency, East Java, Indonesia. Employing a qualitative approach with normative-empirical legal research methods, this study analyzes primary data from in-depth interviews with 45 informants comprising MSME actors, government officials, and education providers, supplemented by document analysis of local regulations and policy documents. The findings reveal significant disparities in consultation implementation, with public forums dominating (60%) while direct MSME forums constitute merely 15% of total consultation activities. Legal analysis identifies gaps between Law No. 20/2008 on MSMEs and its operational implementation, particularly regarding mandatory consultation mechanisms. The study demonstrates that effective public consultation requires restructuring legal frameworks to mandate inclusive participation, developing digital consultation platforms accessible to Generation Z MSME actors, and establishing accountability mechanisms for policy responsiveness. This research contributes novel insights into the juridical dimensions of participatory governance in MSME development, proposing a legal framework model that balances administrative efficiency with substantive stakeholder engagement in regional economic policymaking
