Abstract

The Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture changed the curriculum from the 2013 curriculum to the Independent Learning Curriculum. The term "independent learning" refers to a policy prepared by the government to improve the quality of education, which will ultimately create superior students and university students who are ready to face the very complex challenges of the future. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of using interactive animated video media on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN Tambakrigadung II Lamongan. The method used was a quasi-experimental design. This research type is quantitative, and the design used in this study is a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This study was conducted in the even semester. The sample in this study were fifth-grade students of SDN Tambakrigadung II Lamongan. Data collection techniques used were tests (pretest and posttest) and documentation. The results of this study showed that the average (mean) posttest score of students in the experimental class was 85.50 with a standard deviation of 1.850, while in the control class the average was 77.20 with a standard deviation of 2.142. This difference in averages indicates that students in the experimental class who used interactive animated video media achieved higher learning outcomes than students in the control class who did not use such media. Abstract

Forest and peatland fires are significant environmental issues in Central Kalimantan, particularly in Basarang Village, Kapuas Regency. This study aims to analyze community perceptions and knowledge regarding forest and peatland fires to support more effective prevention efforts. A quantitative approach was used, employing survey techniques through questionnaires administered to 30 respondents. The results indicate that the level of public perception is categorized as moderate, with an average score of 65.8%, and the level of knowledge is also moderate, with an average score of 75.0%. The community generally understands the definition, impacts, and regulations related to land fires; however, a gap remains between knowledge and actual practice in the field, such as participation in outreach programs and reporting fire incidents. It was also found that although residents are aware of the dangers of land clearing by burning, some still practice it due to economic constraints and traditional habits. This study recommends enhancing outreach efforts, providing contextual education, and offering tangible government support to strengthen community involvement in sustainable forest and peatland fire prevention.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low independence of elementary school students in mathematics, especially fractions, due to conventional methods and the lack of innovative teaching materials. The objective is to develop and test the effectiveness of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based mathematics teaching materials to improve student independence. Using the ADDIE development model, this research began with an analysis of student needs and the curriculum. The design stage included designing a fraction addition module, including visual elements. Development involved validation by material and media experts, as well as revisions. Implementation was carried out through a trial in grade V of SD Negeri 1 Moyot, with data from response questionnaires and learning outcome tests. Product evaluation showed that this teaching material was very feasible (media experts 98%, material experts 80%). Student responses were positive ("Good" 66.48%), and learning outcomes improved ("Good" 75.64%), with classical completeness of 76%. The implication is that ABA teaching materials are effective in improving student independence and mathematics learning outcomes, and serve as a reference for the development of innovative teaching materials

Abstract

Solar cells are devices composed of solar panels that convert light into electrical energy. Conventionally, energy is primarily derived from fossil fuels, which are non-renewable resources. Consequently, many researchers have sought alternative sources of energy. One such innovation is the Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC). This study aims to investigate the effect of Antigonon leptopus flower dye as an active material in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC). The absorbance testing was conducted using a UV-Visible Spectrophotometer (1601 PC), while current and voltage (I–V) measurements were carried out using a Keithley instrument. The results showed that the natural dye extracted from the leaves of Antigonon leptopus exhibited an absorbance spectrum in the range of 200–800 nm. These findings suggest that Antigonon leptopus has potential as a natural sensitizer material for application in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC).

Abstract

Crown fractures in maxillary incisors, particularly complicated crown fractures, present significant clinical challenges due to their impact on aesthetics, function, and the psychological well-being of patients. The management of such fractures often requires a multidisciplinary approach involving endodontics and orthodontics, to achieve optimal outcomes. This case report aim to give recommendation treatment for crown facture with gross loss structure and malposisition. A 18 years old male patient arrived to Dental Hospital( RSGM USU) with chief complain his upper front teeth fracture three years ago. Negative vitality tests and no mobility. Periapical radiographs indicated apical resorption. Diagnose for 11 and 21 is Pulp Necrosis with Asymptomatic Apical Periodontitis. Anterior teeth were crowded and need orthodontic treatment. Anatomical post used in 11, 21 with extensive loss of hard tissue structure to support final restoration. Anatomical post not only enhance aesthetics but also used in endodontically treated teeth to correct the teeth inclination. The advantages of anatomical post made of polyethylene fibre include aesthetic, bond well with tooth structure, and elastic modulus close to dentin. Direct composite restoration aims to placement of orthodontic appliances to correct malocclusion and orthodontic extrusion is necessary to restore the biologic width and achieve proper aesthetics in this case. Direct composite restorationis necessary for correcting malocclusion using orthodontic appliances to support the successfull treatment.

Abstract

This development research purpose to design, analyze the validity and practicality of content differentiated student worksheets in a discovery learning setting on topic of the excretory system for grade XI senior high school students. The development model used in this study is the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages, analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. The implementation stage was not conducted, and the evaluation focused on formative evaluation. The study was conducted at SMAN 1 Kubutambahan. The validity test used the Gregory formula with 2 material experts and 2 media experts as respondents. Based on the experts assessment, the Gregory Validity Coefficient (GVC) reached 0,98 Indicating that the LKPD met valid criteria. The practicality test was conducted with 3 Biology teachers and 10 students of class XI SMAN 1 Kubutambahan. The practicality score by teacher was 85,9% and by students was 87,4%, both categorized as highly practical. These results indicate that the content differentiated LKPD develop using the discovery learning model for the excretory system material is very valid and highly practicalfor use in the learning process.

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) adalah jenjang pendidikan sebelum jenjang pendidikan dasar yang merupakan suatu upaya pembinaan yang ditujukan bagi anak sejak lahir sampai dengan usia enam tahun yang dilakukan melalui pemberian rangsangan pendidikan untuk membantu pertumbuhan dan perkembangan jasmani dan rohani agar anak memiliki kesiapan dalam memasuki pendidikan lebih lanjut, yang diselenggarakan pada jalur formal, nonformal, dan informal. Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini juga berfungsi membina, menumbuhkan, dan mengembangkan seluruh potensi yang dimiliki anak pada usia dini secara optimal sehingga terbentuk perilaku dan kemampuan dasar sesuai dengan tahap perkembangannya agar memiliki kesiapan untuk memasuki pendidikan selanjutnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan library research atau penelitian kepustakaan. Abstract

This study analyzes the seismicity parameters of Lombok Island using ZMAP 7.1 to better understand the region’s earthquake characteristics. The results indicate a high level of seismic activity, with an a-value of 10.257 and an annual a-value of 8.743, corresponding to an average of approximately nine earthquakes per year. The calculated b-value of 1.58 ± 0.07 also reflects high seismicity, suggesting that rocks in the study area have a limited capacity to withstand stress and store energy, thereby favoring the occurrence of low-magnitude events. Conversely, zones with lower b-values are relatively stronger and capable of generating higher-magnitude earthquakes. The predominance of moderate to high b-values across Lombok Island indicates that much of the accumulated energy was released during the 2018 earthquake sequence associated with the Flores back-arc thrust.

Abstract

Misconceptions are incorrect understandings of concepts as recognised by experts. This study aims to analyse junior high school students’ misconceptions on temperature, heat, and expansion using the Three-Tier Test diagnostic tool. The research involved 115 Grade VII and VIII students from public and private junior high schools in Burneh, Bangkalan. A descriptive quantitative approach was applied to classify students into three categories: knowing the concept, misconceptions, and not knowing the concept. The instrument was a three-stage test consisting of 10 multiple-choice questions, reasons, and confidence levels. The findings showed that misconceptions among public junior high school students reached 66.78% (high category), while in private schools the level was 59% (medium category). These differences may stem from several factors, including variations in teaching methods, availability of learning facilities, the effectiveness of instructional media, students’ motivation, and their involvement in the learning process. This study highlights the need for more interactive strategies and effective media that emphasise students’ active role in learning. Addressing misconceptions is essential to improve the quality of science education at the secondary school level.

Abstract

This study uses the research and development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation), the subjects of this study were students of class X of SMK PGRI 4 Bandar Lampung. The techniques used in collecting data were interviews, validation questionnaires, and product and test attractiveness questionnaires. The results of the study showed that the assessment obtained by media experts was 0.83 with very high criteria and material experts 0.88 with very high criteria. While the response of small group students was 4.5 with interesting criteria and large group trials were 4.34 with very interesting criteria. And the results of the effectiveness test obtained an n-gain effectiveness score of 0.85 with high criteria and in the form of a percentage of 85% which means it is effective for use in learning.
