Abstract

Meningkatkan Komunikasi Matematis dan Kepercayaan Diri Menggunakan Model Pembelajaran SIMAS ERIC Berbantuan Bahan Ajar Gamifikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran SIMAS ERIC yang dibantu oleh materi pengajaran gamifikasi terhadap keterampilan komunikasi matematis dan kepercayaan diri siswa di sekolah menengah pertama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi-experimental dan desain kelompok kontrol pasca-tes saja. Sampel terdiri dari tiga kelas delapan di SMP Negeri 3 Jati Agung, yang dipilih melalui teknik pengambilan sampel acak kluster. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes esai untuk mengukur keterampilan komunikasi matematis dan kuesioner skala Likert untuk mengukur kepercayaan diri siswa. Hasil analisis data menggunakan MANOVA menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran SIMAS ERIC yang dibantu oleh materi pengajaran gamifikasi memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi matematis dan kepercayaan diri siswa. Oleh karena itu, model ini layak diterapkan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan efektif di kelas matematika.

Abstract

Higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) are crucial for 21st-century students to face global challenges and solve complex problems. However, high school biology learning is still dominated by lectures and conventional textbooks. Students often memorize concepts without understanding their applications, while local wisdom such as the Pangan Balak Lampung tradition has not been utilized as a learning resource. The use of interactive ethnoscience-based e-books has the potential to connect scientific concepts with local culture and enhance learning motivation. This study aimed to develop an ethnoscience-based Biology E-Book (EBOBI) on the digestive system topic for Grade XI students using the 4D R&D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The research subjects included material, media, and language validators, biology teachers, and students from SMA Negeri 1 Punduh Pidada and SMA Negeri 2 Padang Cermin. Data were collected through validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and HOTS tests. Validation results showed excellent feasibility (material experts 90.3%, media experts 92.1%, and language experts 89.7%). Limited trials achieved a practicality score of 91.2%, while broader trials reached 93.5%, accompanied by positive responses from teachers and students. The average HOTS score of students was 82.4% (high category). Thus, the ethnoscience-based EBOBI is considered valid, practical, and effective as an innovative learning medium to improve students’ HOTS.

Abstract

Kecerdasan buatan (AI), khususnya deep learning, semakin banyak dimanfaatkan dalam pembelajaran biologi untuk meningkatkan personalisasi, interaktivitas, dan efektivitas pembelajaran. Kajian ini secara sistematis mengeksplorasi tren, pola, dan tantangan penerapan deep learning dalam pembelajaran biologi melalui Systematic Literature Review (SLR) yang dipadukan dengan analisis bibliometrik. Pencarian literatur pada lima basis data utama untuk periode 2021–2025 menghasilkan 561 artikel, dengan 80 artikel memenuhi kriteria inklusi berdasarkan kerangka PRISMA 2020. Analisis menunjukkan peningkatan publikasi sejak 2021 dengan kontribusi terbesar berasal dari Indonesia. Pemetaan bibliometrik menggunakan VOSviewer mengelompokkan penerapan deep learning ke dalam empat dimensi utama: teknologi dan infrastruktur, strategi pedagogis, kompetensi literasi digital, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Hasil kajian menegaskan potensi deep learning dalam mendukung e-learning adaptif, analisis citra otomatis, dan laboratorium virtual cerdas. Namun, tantangan masih tersisa terkait kesiapan infrastruktur, kualitas dataset, dan kompetensi digital guru. Kajian ini menyajikan gambaran komprehensif lanskap penelitian serta memberikan implikasi praktis dan arahan penelitian masa depan bagi peneliti, pendidik, dan pembuat kebijakan untuk mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran biologi yang inovatif, berkelanjutan, dan selaras dengan transformasi digital..

Abstract

This research aims to describe the integration of local wisdom values of the Gawe Musim Kembalit as a learning resource for natural and social science at SD Negeri 2 Sakra, Sakra District, East Lombok Regency. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with the research subjects being class IV teachers and class IV students, while the data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and direct documentation to obtain the required data. Data were analyzed using data analysis techniques according to Milles and Huberman, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the values of local wisdom of the Gawe Musim Kembalit are very important to be integrated in learning, especially in science and science learning because they have to know their own culture and environment. Integrating local wisdom with students is one way to preserve the culture of the Sasak tribe so that they can avoid the erosion of culture due to globalization. Through integration it can have a good impact on the formation of student characteristics.

Abstract

This study investigates the potential of social media in biology learning by examining the digital competence of Generation Z through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The review follows the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) framework to ensure methodological rigor and transparency. A total of 18 relevant documents published in Indonesia between 2015 and May 2025 were identified and analyzed. The inclusion criteria focused on studies addressing social media, biology learning, digital competence, and Generation Z. The findings reveal that platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp are widely utilized in learning activities, supporting concept visualization, collaboration, and creative engagement. Most of the reviewed studies were conducted at secondary and higher education levels, reflecting the broad adoption of social media in formal education. Generation Z demonstrates strong digital competence in communication, collaboration, and content creation. However, challenges remain in critical information evaluation, ethical digital practices, and the pedagogical integration of social media. This review highlights the dual role of social media as both an opportunity and a challenge in digital-era education. Strengthening Generation Z’s digital competence is essential to fully harness the educational potential of social media while addressing issues of information credibility and responsible use. This study contributes to mapping research trends on digital competence and provides insights for educators and policymakers seeking to optimize social media use in 21st-century learning.

Abstract

This study aims to design an IoT (internet of things)-based CO2 concentration measurement system and to identify environmental parameters that affect it. The measurement system was designed using an MG-811 sensor, internet network, and database as a transmitter station. The measurement system was calibrated to identify static measurement characteristics, such as accuracy, selectivity, measurement range-span, and response time. The system was installed in four emission sources: (a) rice fields that were actively burning agricultural waste; (b) landfills, (c) food courts, and (d) areas around the industry. Each area was connected to the receiver station for seven consecutive days. The calibration process shows good selectivity for CO2 gas, with a response of 1500 ppm). The difference in concentration was influenced by wind direction, air humidity, and emission factors. The results of the study concluded that the concentration measurement system can be developed into an IoT-based air quality monitoring system. CO2 concentration was influenced by environmental parameters, such as air humidity, wind direction, and type of emission source.

Abstract

Conceptual understanding is one of the important abilities that students must have in learning mathematics. To achieve this ability, an appropriate learning strategy is needed, one of which is through the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach on the mathematical concept understanding ability of fifth-grade students of SDN 37 Ampenan on the material of the properties of geometric shapes. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type and the design used is Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of 44 fifth-grade students divided into experimental and control classes. Data collection techniques were carried out with conceptual understanding tests and observation sheets for the implementation of learning. The data obtained were analyzed using the swimmer test (normality and homogeneity), followed by the hypothesis test of the Independent Sample T-test. Abstract

This study focuses on analyzing the quality of RMR interactions during student teaching practice. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research methods used were systematic observation and reflective interviews. Data were analyzed using Classroom Interaction Analysis techniques modified for RMR needs. This study was conducted in the Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Larantuka Institute of Teacher Training and Technology. The subjects of this study were 10 sixth-semester students taking the realistic mathematics course. Subjects were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research objects covered three main aspects: Quality of Learning Interactions; Implementation of RMR Principles; and Questioning Skills. Data collection in this study was carried out through Structured Participatory Observation; Semi-Structured Interviews; and Document Analysis. The research instruments used were Observation Sheets; Interview Guidelines; and Field Notes. The collected data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, which consists of three interactive stages: Data Condensation; Data Presentation; Verification and Conclusion Drawing. The results of the study show that, in the aspect of the quality of learning interactions, the majority of students have been able to create learning interactions that are in the good category; the aspect of Implementation of Realistic Mathematics Learning Principles is known, the Use of Context achieved the highest score of 4.5 while the Student Contribution item achieved the lowest score of 2.9 and at the Formalization stage obtained a relatively low score of 3.1; and the aspect of Student Question Quality provided results, namely, for clarification questions obtained a percentage of 45%, convergent questions 35%, exploratory questions 15%, and divergent questions 5%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Genially-based learning media on the material "My Country is Rich in Natural Resources". The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model consisting of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The research subjects involved media experts and material experts as validators of products and student responses. And the object of research is the development of Genially learning media. Data collection instruments in the form of observation, interviews, and validation questionnaires were used to assess the feasibility of media and learning materials. This study was conducted on June 3-June 11, 2025. The validation results showed that the Genially learning media obtained a feasibility percentage of 70.66% from media experts (valid category) and 84% from material experts (very valid category), so it was declared suitable for use in the learning process. Product trial data was also carried out with a student response questionnaire filled out by 16 students, with a percentage of 92.74% indicating that this media is suitable for use. This media is expected to help students' understanding of natural resources material, as well as provide innovative alternatives for teachers in delivering technology-based learning.
