Abstract

This study was conducted to see the effect of Good Corporate Governance Mechanism and Capital Ownership Structure on Sustainability Report Disclosure. The good corporate governance mechanism is seen from the number of Audit Committees, Board of Commissioners, and Board of Directors. The capital ownership structure is seen from Managerial Ownership, Institutional Ownership, and Foreign Ownership on the Sustainability Report indicator consisting of Economic, Environmental, and Social indicators. This study uses secondary data sourced directly from documents or files in the form of annual reports or sustainability reports of companies for the 2019-2023 period in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Data processing using the Smart-PLS application system with results showing that the Good Corporate Governance Mechanism has a significant positive effect on sustainability report disclosure, and the capital ownership structure has a positive effect on sustainability report disclosure.

Abstract

This study focuses on the Implementation of Regional Autonomy in relation to Public Services and Governance in Cianjur Regency. The objective of this research is to analyze the strategies implemented by the Cianjur Regional Government to enhance public transparency and accountability, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of Regional Regulation Number 9 of 2017. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with local government officials, legislative members, and community representatives, as well as through document studies of policies and the implementation of the regulation. The findings indicate that the strategies implemented include the digitalization of public services, capacity building of civil servants in information management, and the strengthening of internal and external oversight mechanisms. To further improve public transparency and accountability, the Cianjur Regional Government needs to accelerate digital transformation in information provision and enhance public awareness of regulations.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to reduce excessive gadget use that disrupts concentration and learning outcomes among 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 13 Gowa through the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL). Conducted from February 4 to April 30, 2025, the study employed a classroom action research method, encompassing planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 30 11th-grade students, with data collected via observation, interviews, and quantitative analysis. Results showed a reduction in irrelevant gadget use by 60% in cycle I and 80% in cycle II, alongside an increase in student engagement from 40% to 60%. PjBL effectively enhanced social interaction and learning motivation. This study demonstrates that active learning strategies can shift students’ focus from gadgets to meaningful learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the organizational culture and values implemented by PT Telkom Indonesia, particularly within the context of the digital era that demands continuous transformation. As a state-owned enterprise operating in the information and communication technology sector, PT Telkom Indonesia has undergone an evolution of its organizational culture from The Telkom Way to The Telkom Way in Digital Era, reflecting the company’s strategic efforts to adapt to external changes and global demands. This culture comprises three main elements: Basic Belief (Always the Best), Core Values (Solid, Speed, Smart), and Key Behaviours (Imagine, Focus, Action), along with additional digital values encompassed in Telkom CODES, serving as guidelines for collaborative work behavior in the digital age. The research employs a qualitative method using a literature review approach. Data were collected from various literature sources such as scientific journals, company reports, news articles, and relevant official documents. The findings are presented descriptively and analytically, outlining how these cultural values are internalized and implemented by all Telkom employees as part of the organization's transformation strategy. The results indicate that the organizational culture change at Telkom is not merely symbolic but is aimed to have a tangible impact on work behavior, decision-making, and the achievement of corporate goals. A strong and adaptive organizational culture proves to be a crucial foundation for the company's sustainability and growth amid the challenges of digitalization. A deep understanding of the construction of organizational cultural values, as practiced by PT Telkom Indonesia, is highly relevant to serve as a model for other organizations undergoing similar transformations.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of picture stories as a learning strategy to improve reading comprehension and foster social awareness among third-grade elementary students. The research is motivated by ongoing challenges in cultivating students’ interest in reading and instilling essential social values from an early age. This qualitative study employed a case study design conducted in a third-grade classroom. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that the use of picture stories significantly increased students' engagement with reading. The combination of text and illustration helped students understand the story content, grasp meanings, and develop emotional connections with characters and events. Furthermore, picture stories encouraged peer discussions, allowing students to express opinions, reflect on moral values, and relate them to real-life experiences. These interactions contributed to the development of empathy, cooperation, and social care. Teachers also found it easier to deliver lessons contextually and enjoyably through this medium. It can be concluded that picture stories are effective not only in enhancing reading comprehension but also in nurturing social awareness among elementary students.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how students' interest and participation in basketball in the secondary school environment. Data collection was carried out using an online questionnaire distributed to 35 students from Meda The research results show that the majority of students have a high interest in basketball, but their active participation is influenced by various factors such as the availability of facilities, free time, and the support of friends. This research concludes that to increase student involvement in basketball, it is necessary to strengthen infrastructure and consistent coaching from the school.

Abstract

The principle of legality is a fundamental concept in criminal law that ensures legal certainty by stipulating that an act can only be punished if it has been clearly regulated by law prior to its commission and is not applied retroactively. This principle protects individuals from arbitrary actions by law enforcement and serves as the main foundation for criminal law enforcement. However, its application must be balanced with attention to substantive justice through interpretations that are responsive to the social and cultural context of society. Thus, the principle of legality not only guarantees legal certainty but also allows room for balanced and dynamic justice, functioning as a bridge between legal certainty and justice within the criminal justice system.

Abstract

This study aims to critically unveil the embedded structure of systemic corruption within the public procurement system across Bima City, Bima Regency, and Dompu Regency, which reflects the pathological convergence of state capture, neo-patrimonialism, and crony capitalism. Utilizing a critical qualitative method with an intrinsic case study design, the research applies Foucauldian governmentality, institutional corruption theory, and Baudrillard’s simulacra to deconstruct how procurement mechanisms are no longer administrative tools but instead function as instruments of predatory power consolidation. The data gathered through elite interviews, document analysis of court verdicts, audit reports, and participatory observation were analyzed using critical discourse analysis within an abductive logic framework. The findings reveal that procurement processes in the three regions are systematically hijacked by political elites through premeditated collusion, falsified documents, and bureaucratic manipulation, all legitimized via simulated legality. In Bima City, former mayor Lutfi orchestrated a vertical network of rent-seeking embedded in the bureaucracy. Bima Regency institutionalized kleptocracy via project cartels, while Dompu demonstrates the most severe decay, where law enforcement, bureaucratic apparatuses, and political elites form a mutual protection pact. The study concludes that procurement corruption is not a deviation but an institutionalized governance model, undermining democratic accountability and transforming procurement into a mechanism for redistributing economic and political power among oligarchic networks.

Abstract

In civil procedural law, witnesses play a crucial role as evidence to clarify disputed facts, especially when written evidence is insufficient. According to Article 164 of HIR and Article 1865 of the Civil Code, witness testimony must be given under oath to gain legal legitimacy. The principle of "Unus Testis Nullus Testis" states that the testimony of a single witness must be supported by other evidence to have probative value. The procedures involve a witness list, scheduling of hearings, summoning, taking of the oath, and examination of testimony. Judges evaluate testimony based on its relevance, consistency, and connection with other evidence. The strength of witness testimony lies in direct experience, objectivity, and consistency. However, weaknesses such as testimonium de auditu (hearsay evidence), personal bias, and memory limitations can affect its validity. Under the principle of "vrije bewijsleer" (free evaluation of evidence), judges assess testimony independently within a relevant context. Although supplementary, witness testimony is often crucial in supporting or rejecting the claims of disputing parties, aiming to reach a fair judgment based on credible facts.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the history and role of Batu Alam Mahpar Tourism as a space for local historical education in Tasikmalaya during the 2017–2024 period. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a historical approach, encompassing heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The findings reveal that Batu Alam Mahpar underwent development in three main phases: local exploration and branding (2017–2019), pandemic adaptation (2019–2021), and educational consolidation (2022–2024). Batu Alam Mahpar educational role is reflected in the presentation of historical narratives through community museums and oral history. Despite challenges such as limited human resources and digitalization, Batu Alam Mahpar continues to serve as a relevant model of place-based education rooted in community participation. This research highlights the importance of institutional support and the integration of local historical education within the context of community engagement-based tourism.
