Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing cooperative learning methods in improving Indonesian speaking skills in elementary school students. Cooperative learning methods were chosen for their ability to foster dynamic interactions among students, thereby supporting the development of their speaking abilities. This research employed an experimental design with pre-tests and post-tests conducted on two groups of fifth-grade students at an elementary school. The results showed that the group using cooperative learning methods experienced significant improvements in Indonesian speaking skills compared to the group using conventional teaching methods. Additionally, students in the cooperative learning group demonstrated increased motivation and confidence in speaking. These findings indicate that cooperative learning is effective in enhancing Indonesian speaking skills at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of multilingual education in enhancing students' foreign language skills in secondary schools. Multilingual education is an educational approach that involves the use of more than one language in the teaching and learning process, with the goal of comprehensively developing students' foreign language skills. The study employs a mixed-method approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative methods. The results indicate that multilingual education has a significant positive impact on improving students' foreign language abilities. Students engaged in multilingual learning show greater improvement in speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in foreign languages compared to those in conventional learning settings. Factors such as a supportive learning environment, varied use of media, and more intensive interaction with the target language are key determinants of the success of this implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of game-based language learning in improving students' speaking skills at the secondary school level. Game-based learning is considered an innovative approach that can enhance student motivation and engagement in language learning. The research employs an experimental design with an experimental group using game-based learning methods and a control group using conventional methods. Data were collected through speaking tests administered before and after the learning period and questionnaires assessing students' perceptions of the applied methods. The results indicate that the experimental group showed significant improvements in speaking skills compared to the control group. Students involved in game-based learning demonstrated progress in fluency, articulation, and confidence in speaking. The study suggests that integrating game-based learning methods more widely into the language curriculum could maximize students' speaking skills potential.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low speaking skills of students in retelling fable texts which are influenced by several factors. This study aims to determine the effect of the paired storytelling learning model on students' speaking skills in retelling fables in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Tigabinanga. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a two-group posttest only design. The population in this study were all students of class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Tigabinanga totaling 210 people and the sample of this study was students of class VII 3 experimental class with a total of 31 students and VII 4 as a control class with a total of 30 students. The data analysis technique used in this study is quantitative data by testing the analysis requirements, homogeneity test, homogeneity, and hypothesis test. The results of the study in the experimental class obtained an average value of 82.90 in the good category, while the results of the study in the control class at an average value of 53.50 were in the very poor category. Based on the test of equality of average values, it is known that the experimental class has a higher value than the control class with a difference of 29.4%. Based on the t-test that has been carried out, the value at the significance level α = 0.05 is obtained, the value of the t-table provision is 1.67109 and the result of t count = 10.8110. Then the hypothesis t-test> t-test, namely 10.8110> 1.67109, so that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. In terms of consistency, it can be concluded that learning by using the paired storytelling model has a positive and significant effect on the skills of telling the contents of fable texts of class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Tigabinanga.

Abstract

This research reviews various spelling and punctuation errors, with a focus on the analysis of language errors which include the use of language that does not comply with the rules that have been established based on grammar standards. Similar errors were still found in the January 2024 edition of the Kompas Daily Letter, especially regarding the use of language and punctuation. The aim of this research is to analyze language and punctuation errors contained in the January 2024 Edition of the Kompas Newspaper. The approach used is a qualitative and descriptive approach, which aims to describe the findings in the form of word and sentence analysis. The data analysis technique used is listening and taking notes. The results of the research and discussion regarding the analysis of spelling and punctuation errors in the January 2024 edition of Kompas news were carried out by reading and understanding the content of the news. Then, the researcher marked sentences that contained spelling and punctuation errors, and grouped the marked data for analysis. Conclusions based on the results of the analysis of spelling and punctuation errors when reading the news in the January 2024 edition of the Kompas Newspaper were prepared after carrying out the analysis process. This research data was collected by reading and understanding the content of the news, then marking sentences that contained spelling errors. The data is then analyzed to find errors in various aspects, such as spelling, morphology, semantics and syntax. It is hoped that the benefits of this research can be a reference and increase insight in learning to use spelling and punctuation correctly according to the Big Indonesian Dictionary.

Abstract

This research focuses on language error analysis in news texts on online portals. The formulation of the problem in this study is to analyze news writing errors on online portals, one of which is on the February 2024 edition of kompas.com. News can be presented in physical form in the form of newspapers, besides that news can also be presented through online media. Online media or online portals are famous for their speed in spreading information and always updating information that is trending in the community. However, because of this speed, there are often language errors in its presentation. This researebch was carried out to find language errors in the news text on the online portal, be it type process errors, inaccuracies in the preparation process, or inaccuracies in the use of language rules that occur purely from the management or author. Qualitative research is included in the methodology used for this research procedure to produce descriptive data. The technique used in this study is the reading and recording technique. This research uses syntax analysis techniques as data analysis techniques. Based on the analysis that has been done on the news text of the online portal, 2-word omissions, 6-word additions, 3-word subtractions, 10-word formation errors, and 1 punctuation error. In this study, apart from being used to analyze language errors, this research also has the benefit of making online news texts, one of which is the February 2024 edition of the Kompas.com portal to be more easily understood, especially for critical reading teaching materials.

Abstract

Media is an aid that can help teachers in facilitating students especially in the learning process. The application of media in the learning process must also be adjusted to the purpose and type of media used so that the learning process can run optimally. The problem of in this study is the students feel fear when practicing front roll and back roll. This fear can be an obstacle for students in doing the front roll and back roll movement optimally. In addition, there is also a lack of understanding of the students’ skills of front roll and back roll as well as the residual fear of doing the movement even though they are already based on a mat. Therefore, it is necessary to modify the facilities by using inclined plane mat media as a modification medium that can be an alternative in floor gymnastics materials in PJOK subjects. The purpose of this study is to find out how much improvement after being given a modification of the inclined plane mat media on the results of learning front roll and back roll in SMAN 1 Gedangan students. This study uses Class Action Research (CAR), which is a research methodology that carries out actions in two stages: Cycle I and Cycle II. The four main phases of PT implementation are action, planning, observation, and reflection. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling to choose class X-10 SMAN 1 Gedangan which totaled 36 students as a research sample. To obtain the needed information, data collection techniques use attitude, knowledge, skill and observation tests. The data collected in each cycle is analyzed using descriptive analysis in the percentage method. After data collection, the results were obtained that there was an increase in the results of learning the front roll and back roll in the affective, cognitive and psychomotor domains of students. This can be seen in the increase of percentage obtained from cycle I to cycle II, which is 3% in the affective domain, 2% in the cognitive domain and 3% in the psychomotor domain. This is also proven by the results of learning the affective domain from cycle I to cycle Il as many as 6 students (16%). Meanwhile, the incompleteness caused an incomplete decrease of 6 students (16%). Therefore, in the results of learning the cognitive domain, from cycle I to cycle II completed as many as 18 students (50%).While, the incompleteness caused an incomplete decrease of 18 students (50%). Also, in the results of learning the affective domain from cycle I to cycle II completed as many as 9 students (25%). However, the incompleteness there was an incomplete decrease of 9 students (25%).

Abstract

Physical Education is a systematic process that aims to improve students' physical and mental health through physical activity. Despite having clear goals, the reality is that many students are less motivated in learning movement skills, preferring games or matches. This research aims to increase the learning motivation of students in grade 4 in learning Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (PJOK) through the application of the traditional game of engklek. Traditional games are expected to create a fun and interesting learning atmosphere, as well as expand students' movement experience. The observation results showed that the lack of game variety caused students' lazy attitude. With the implementation of engklek, it is hoped that students' learning motivation will increase, so that they are more active and involved in PJOK learning. This research is entitled "Efforts to Increase Student Learning Motivation in PJOK Learning through Traditional Engklek Games."

Abstract

His research aims to determine the forms of delinquency in class II students at SDN Langensari and SDN Cikubang. The research aims to describe how teachers deal with student delinquency in class II at SDN Langensari and SDN Cikubang. Based on research results, analysis of the role of teachers in dealing with student delinquency in class II of SDN CIKUBANG and SDN Langensari, Taraju subdistrict, Tasikmalaya Regency has been carried out on two teachers and four students. Based on the research results obtained from two teachers and four students, there was mild delinquency among the four people. Mischief such as: fighting, not doing homework, disturbing friends when studying, skipping school. Factors that influence delinquency are family factors, namely disharmony and a broken home (divided parents) and lack of love and attention from parents. There is a description of the results of research conducted by researchers at SDN CIKUBANG and SDN Langensari.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the positive and significant influence of the Role Playing learning model by PAK teachers on the learning interest of class V students at SDN 173525 Balige, Toba Regency, Academic Year 2023/2024. The method used in this research uses quantitative research methods. The population is all class V students of SDN 173525 Balige, Toba Regency, 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 40 people and all of them were used as research respondents. Data was collected using a positive closed questionnaire with 40 items. The results of data analysis show that there is a positive and significant influence of the Role Playing learning model by PAK teachers on the learning interest of class V students at SDN 173525 Balige, Toba Regency for the 2023/2024 Academic Year: 1) Test the analysis requirements: a) positive relationship test obtained by the value rxy = 0.580 > rtable(=0.05,n=40) = 0.312, thus it is known that there is a positive relationship between variable ,dk=n-2=38)= 2.021, thus there is a significant relationship between variable . b) Regression coefficient of determination test (r2) = 33.7%. 3) Test the hypothesis using the F test to obtain Fcount > Ftable=(=0.05, dk numerator k=22, dk denominator=n-2=40-2=38) namely 19.27 > 1.51. Thus, Ha, namely that there is a positive and significant influence of the Role Playing learning model by PAK teachers on the learning interest of class V students at SDN 173525 Balige, Toba Regency, for the 2023/2024 academic year is accepted and H0 is rejected.
