Abstract

Jean Piaget's theory of cognitive development is one theory that explains how children adapt to the environment and interpret objects and events around them. Piaget stated that children's intelligence or cognitive abilities change and progress through four stages. While early childhood development is the progress experienced by children as a whole, both in terms of physical to emotional development. The purpose of this study was to determine the theory of cognitive development that occurs in early childhood. Both in the form of understanding cognitive development, factors that influence children's cognitive development, stages in children's cognitive development, children's cognitive development methods, appropriate education for early childhood and developmental theory in early childhood. In this study, the author uses a library research approach or literature study. To find data on literacy studies, you can refer to books, research journals, scientific papers, and published articles. From this study, the results of the theory of cognitive development are related to involving understanding based on knowledge that seems real and comes from experience. And the most appropriate learning applied in early childhood education is the student center model. The student center learning method is a child or student-centered learning model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to recommend readers to change their parenting communication style from traditional communication style to positive communication. Qualitative research methods with a library study approach. Data collection techniques with documentation. Data reduction processing techniques, presentation and conclusion. The results of the study show: positive communication steps in early childhood care are obtained: (1) leaving traditional communication styles: by changing the message of communication to children. (2) use the message "I" to convey thoughts and feelings: serves to convey facts (3) reads children's body language: understands children's movements (4) becomes an active listener: respects children's opinions and words. (5). Change negative language to positive language: to change a child's bad habits.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to find out how to improve language development by storytelling using audio-visual media and the use of audio-visual media to improve language development through storytelling in Class A Nurul Ilmi, Samboja District. This type of research is class action which is carried out in two cycles, each cycle is carried out with the stages of planning, action, observation and reflection. The results of the study: aspects of receiving language before being given action 54%. Then in the first cycle there was an increase of about 77%, in the second cycle there was an increase of 85%. In the final stage: children can understand simple commands by 92%, can repeat more complex sentences by 100%, can mention some adjectives by 92%, can answer more complex questions by 92%, can tell causal events by 77 %, can name objects around 92%, can say letter symbols by 77%, knows initial syllables by 85%, can read own name by 85%, can connect pictures of objects with words by 100%, knows symbols can write letters by 92%, understanding between sounds and shapes by 85%, being able to write own name by 92%, being able to draw freely by 100%.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to describe the application of disciplinary character education in Karya Merdeka Kindergarten Samboja Kutai Kartanegara. This study used descriptive qualitative research, with the research subjects being teachers and students in class group B2. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The results of the study showed: instilling the character of discipline through activities: (1) a program to habituate smiles, greetings, greetings, being polite and polite to children from an early age. (2) come to school on time by doing line activities together in front of the yard regularly before entering class. (3) get used to lining up neatly when entering class. (4) tidying children's clothes regularly with the aim that children are used to living neatly and cleanly. (5) teach children to store shoes independently on the shoe rack. (6) teach children to tidy up toys that have been used independently. (7) teach children to wash their hands before drinking and eating. (8) teach children to dispose of the canoe in the space provided.

Abstract

This study aims to improve fine motor development through finger painting in group A early childhood at TK Al-Hidayah Terpadu I Samboja Kutai Kartanegara. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. This research is a population study where members of the population are used as research subjects. The research data obtained were then analyzed using a percentage score which later could be known about the extent of fine motor development through finger painting. In observation 1 it can be seen that 16.7% of the 30 children have progressed in finger painting activities, while 33.3% of the children are starting to develop and 50% of the children are still in the undeveloped category. And in observation 2 it can be seen that 40% of the 30 children have developed in finger painting activities, 26.7% of children are starting to develop and 33.3% of children are still categorized as not yet developing in finger painting activities.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling for early childhood is an assistance effort carried out by teachers/supporters for early childhood so that children can grow and develop optimally and be able to overcome the problems they face. The research was carried out in a qualitative manner using a literature study approach. Research results: Through counseling, children are taught skills that enable them to become independent individuals, able to make decisions, and be responsible for their own actions. The main objective of providing guidance and counseling is to anticipate or take preventive action against the emergence of problematic behavior. Of course, prevention will be much easier than cure. This principle will also be applied in counseling guidance in the Early Childhood Education environment. In other words, preventing problem behavior in children is much easier than treating problem behavior in adults.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to elucidate the improvement of Early Childhood Education management at Attoriq Pamekasan through the implementation of educational management. The research method employed is qualitative descriptive, using interviews, observation, and documentation as data-gathering techniques. Data processing involves data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings illustrate that Attoriq PAUD School has a planning process involving full participation from the headmaster, teachers, and students to achieve clear goals and address existing problems. The organization is conducted considering management principles such as workforce grouping, authority determination, and time discipline. Each school member has their own responsibilities in line with the school's vision and mission. Implementation of educational activities aims to maintain discipline, adhere to instructions, and prioritize collective interests. The headmaster provides guidance and bonuses as appreciation for hard work and cooperation. Regular supervision is conducted to ensure all activities are in accordance with the plan and to identify and address weaknesses for continuous improvement of education quality.

Abstract

This research will discuss parents efforts in overcoming early-age children's tantrum character in South Pandian Village, Pandian Sumenep. In answering the writing context above the writer uses observation qualitative descriptive method. Exactly, process of writing is to describe and analysis the occurred phenomenon. The main source of this writing is parents in South Pandian Village while the secondary source in this writing is children in South Pandian, Picture, and the documentation. Besides, the way to aggregation data which is used is observation, interview, and documentation. The result of this writing shows that 1) parent effort in overcoming children’s tamper is intended to be calm, give a hug, and shift children's attention. 2) Thread which is faced by a parent to overcome early age children exactly decreasing education from parent in handling children tantrum tamper, decrease to fulfill children demand, the inconsistent parent, the unable parent to give attention to the child and control the emotion, decrease in giving commendation when the child is able to do something.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to improve fine motor skills through ronce activities at Cendrawasih Sukmajaya Early Childhood Education. The research was carried out with classroom actions carried out in two subject cycles for 10 students. The results of observations of initial abilities in the pre-cycle showed that there were 7 children whose fine motor skills had not yet developed (70%) and 3 children who were starting to develop them (30%). In cycle I, there were 6 children who started to develop (60%) and 4 children (40%) who developed according to expectations. Then in cycle II, 2 children (20% of children) developed according to expectations and 8 children (80%) developed very well. This means that there is an increase in students' fine motor skills in implementing classroom action research. This research was stopped until cycle II because it had met the success indicator criteria. Conclusion: meronce activities can improve and increase fine motor skills, namely being able to follow the size of color patterns and students' work.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to improve the speaking skills of children aged 5 - 6 years using hand puppets at Handayani Caringin Bogor Early Childhood Education. The research was conducted as classroom action research with two cycles on 19 children. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative by comparing data obtained from initial conditions, cycle I and cycle II with four stages, namely planning action, implementing action, carrying out observation, and reflection. Based on the results of the known data analysis, after the process of using hand puppet media, the child's speaking skills before using hand puppet media received a score of 52.63% with poor criteria and in the first cycle of action, they scored 63.16% with good criteria. In cycle II, the average child's speaking skills after using hand puppets increased by 84.21%.
