Abstract

This research aims to be an effort to improve students’ achievement in chemistry subjects, especially class XI MIPA 4 at SMAN 1 North Halmahera, especially in acid-base material. The type of research used is classroom action research (PTK), with a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in the form of a practicum. The results of the first cycle of research showed that 34% of students were able to achieve the KKM, in the second cycle after follow-up in the form of practice questions and practice, 77% of students were able to achieve the KKM, in the third cycle they continued with practicum and were given the task of making a report on the results of the practicum, 89% were obtained. students who reach the KKM. Based on the research results, it is highly recommended that the PjBL learning model be used in chemistry learning so that students can understand the concept and application of acid-base material in everyday life.

Abstract

Mosques are not only places of worship but also places of economic activity. The potential for economic empowerment in mosques has not been realized optimally. As part of strengthening the community's economy, the role of mosques in society needs to be expanded. So, this research aims to determine the role of mosque economic empowerment through Sharia microfinance institutions. This qualitative research is a literature study using data sources like reference books and scientific journal articles. The results of this research indicate that mosque-based community economic empowerment is necessary as a driving force for poverty alleviation efforts to improve the community's quality of life. Mosques' financial independence can be realized by establishing Islamic Cooperatives or Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT). By maximizing the function and potential of mosques, the Mosque's economy can be strengthened and used as a strategic location for the local community's economic development.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the relationship created between society, culture, and religion in the life of the To Bentong community. This research also clarifies the growing understanding that generalizes To Bentong and To Balo as different and independent cultural identities. The qualitative research model with a descriptive-study approach in this research is used to unravel narratively descriptively the interplay of culture and religion demonstrated by the To Bentong community. This research refers to two data sources. Data obtained from interview techniques as primary sources and literature, books, and journals are used as secondary sources. The collected data were then analyzed critically and carefully. The results of the study found two things. First, Massagala as a tradition of the To Bentong community directly intersects and has similarities with Islamic teachings. The substance lies in the fasting ceremony held once every three years which usually lasts a week or a month. Second, Massagala gave birth to a value system or religious philosophy that guides the To Bentong community in relations, socialization, and communication, especially with the universe.

Abstract

The evaluation of bureaucratic reform in the Ministry of Religious Affairs shows that its implementation has not yet shown significant progress, its application has not been evenly distributed throughout all work units and still needs to be improved. One of the reasons for the slow pace of bureaucratic reform in the   Ministry of Religious Affairs is a lack of supportive organizational culture. This study aims to measure the Ministry of Religious Affairs' organizational culture development using the mixed method with a sequential explanation. Quantitative data analysis uses descriptive statistics and multivariate Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) statistics, while qualitative data analysis uses root cause analysis with the fishbone analysis method. The results showed that the level of internalization of organizational values and work culture in the Ministry of Religious Affairs has become espoused values and beliefs but has not yet become an underlying assumption. The implementation of bureaucratic reform in the Central is still not a massive and systemic movement. This is because the Basic Values of the Ministry of   Religious Affairs as the basis for ASN behavior and code of ethics have not been well socialized. In addition, the formulation of Basic Values as a reference in bureaucratic reform is still overlapping and difficult to understand. Thus, a Grand Design of the cultural development program is needed to accelerate Bureaucratic Reform in the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Abstract

Mentally retarded children have weaknesses in learning that require understanding and memorization, one of which is in mathematics. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the contextual approach on material ratio values for mentally retarded students. The subjects of this study were students with mild mental retardation in class VII SMPN 15 Yogyakarta. This research method is a single-subject research design A-B. The research data collection technique is through documentation, interviews, and written tests. Data analysis in this study used analysis within conditions and analysis between conditions. The results of this study indicate that the average score obtained by mentally retarded students in the baseline phase is 32.5 and 95 in the intervention phase which is assisted by a contextual approach so that it is easy to understand the material. This shows that the contextual approach can have a positive influence in the form of increasing the ability to understand students' mental retardation concepts.
