Abstract

Bank Sampah Mandiri is a waste bank established directly by the community of RW 4 Lakarsantri Village, which is one of the Zero Waste Villages of the Environmental Agency. One of the public services owned by RW 4 Lakarsantri to the community is waste bank management services. In Lakarsantri Village, especially RW 4, the waste bank management system is still manual and not computerized, so there is a need for an information system that can facilitate or streamline the operations of the Waste Bank. In addition, the existing savings book can only record the date and nominal savings. The savings book is considered less effective because the process of recording is very prone to loss and misrecording. To solve these problems, a Waste Bank Information System was developed using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) made for the modeling method, MySQL for the database and PHP for the programming language. With this system in the future, it is hoped that it can help Bank Sampah Mandiri in managing and operating efficiently and safely.

Abstract

The State Detention Center (RUTAN) is an integral part of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, which is entrusted with the responsibility for executing the main tasks of the Ministry in the aspects of placement, care and services for prisoners. A concrete example of a detention center is the Situbondo Class II B Detention Center, a correctional institution located in Situbondo Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia. Individuals serving a sentence in a class II B State Detention Center, including inmates or detainees, have the need to improve their skills during the period of their detention. One of the rehabilitative activities carried out in prison is the practice of hydroponics, where one type of plant grown is mint. So far, the harvest of mint plants has been sold directly to prison visitors and also promoted at car free day activities in the Situbondo square. It was revealed that the leaves of the mint plant have significant health value and can be processed into herbal tea. In this context, assistance was provided with the process of making mint leaf tea at the Class II B Detention Center in Situbondo as part of efforts to diversify medicinal plants. This program aims to achieve two main benefits. First, stimulate the motivation of inmates to develop entrepreneurial skills after they are released from punishment, with the hope of improving their economic conditions. Second, increase their understanding of the processing of agricultural products, especially mint leaves which are processed into herbal tea. Training and practical methods are directly applied in this empowerment activity. The results include increased knowledge and skills in processing mint leaves into herbal tea. The final product of this program is herbal tea with an attractive and informative packaging design.

Abstract

Many experts are worried that new voters will abstain or not vote in the next election. This is due to the lack of understanding by novice voters regarding the election implementation process. New voters are easily influenced by people closest to them such as family members and relatives. They also still do not understand the explanation from the KPU as the election organizer. (Wardhani, 2018) This is because the characteristics of today's beginner voters are very different from previous generations. Young voters or new voters are voters who have unique traits and characteristics. Most of them come from students, have good economic status, and generally live in urban areas. This group is very touched by advances in information technology. They use sophisticated technological tools ranging from laptops, cellphones, gadgets, and so on. They also connect with other people globally via Facebook, Twitter (now X), Instagram, LinkedIn and other social media. On the other hand, they face very serious challenges ranging from political changes and domestic problems with no clear direction, terrorism, virtual violence, free trade, the threat of nuclear war and a number of other problems. Abstract

The "Marketing Innovation in Encouraging Micro Business Growth in Sentol Pamekasan Village" Community Service Program (PKM) aims to increase the competitiveness and economic well-being of microbusinesses in rural Indonesia. Microenterprises hold significant value in both local and national economies. In an era of dynamic economic expansion and continuous social transformation, the growth and progress of microenterprises are of the utmost importance. The potential for micro businesses in Desa Sentol, Pamekasan, is substantial; nonetheless, proprietors of such enterprises encounter several obstacles, such as restricted market entry, intensifying competition, and a dearth of comprehension about efficacious marketing tactics. PKM places emphasis on marketing innovation as a potential resolution to this issue. The outcomes of this PKM initiative demonstrate a substantial positive influence. A 20 to 30 percent increase in the income and profitability of microenterprises contributes to enhanced economic well-being for microbusiness proprietors and the Desa Sentol community at large. Moreover, new marketing methods expand market penetration, hence generating more prospects for business expansion. Additionally, the results indicate that proprietors of microbusinesses in Desa Sentol have assimilated sustainable practices and a commitment to innovative marketing strategies. The significance of strengthening collaboration between microbusiness proprietors, local governments, and other pertinent stakeholders, as well as continuing to utilize marketing innovations, is illuminated by these findings. Ongoing support is provided through advanced training and technical mentoring. Future recommendations encompass the implementation of advanced training initiatives, continuous mentorship programs, enhanced cooperation channels, and the expansion of the range of products and services offered. By fostering ongoing assistance and expanding inventive capacity, Desa Sentol possesses substantial potential to emerge as a paradigm of achievement in the rural micro-enterprise sector of Indonesia. Additionally, this PKM program may serve as a model for other places confronting comparable obstacles.

Abstract

English tutoring program comes to provide the English tutor for elementary students as one strategy to improve quality of English communication. The purposes of this program were to introduce the basic materials for children and to pronounce the basic vocabularies and sentences related to the daily life.This program was held at RT 09 and RW 04 Ngrayung, Ngadirenggo Village Pogalan-Trenggalek (East Java) and the praticipants were 20 students of class 4-6. The program was done during 3 months. The method used consisted of socialization, workshop and tutorial.The results showed that the students were interested in learning English. In the early meetings, students found difficulties to pronounce the vocabularies. The students were able to pronounce after 3 meetings even some students still make mistakes. In learning English; students were active in playing games, singing, spelling, pronouncing and role play. The results of pre test showed that only one student passed in the test, while nineteen students failed. The average score was 57.35. This means that the students must follow the English program. The results of post test showed that twenty students passed in the test. It was shown in the individual score. The data revealed that 8 students got 60-69 while 12 students got 70-79. The average score was 70. Therefore; the English tutoring program for elementary students can improve their learning achievement in English.

Abstract

Gender inequality is still a problem faced by Indonesian society, so efforts are needed to realize gender equality, one of which is through empowering women. PT Pertamina Patra Niaga DPPU Adi Sumarmo through the Sobokerto Community Cares for Cengklik Reservoir (Mas Sopili) program is trying to involve women through the formation of the Ngudi Makmur Women's Farmer Group (KWT) and KWT Bangun Sejahtera. In empowerment activities, participation is the key to determining the success of the program. This research aims to analyze women's participation in the Mas Sopili program. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research using primary and secondary data. The research results show that KWT members actively participate in various stages of activities, namely the planning, implementation, enjoying the results and evaluation stages. The form or type of participation provided is in the form of thought, energy, skills, goods, and money. There are factors inhibiting community participation in this activity, namely availability of time, lack of increase in income, and lack of motivation and awareness. Meanwhile, the driving factor is member motivation and encouragement from the chairman of each KWT.

Abstract

In this increasingly advanced era marked by increasing technology and demands for understanding science, the younger generation must study hard. At school, teenagers are often not ergonomic in carrying out an activity, one of which is carrying a bag on one side and maintaining the wrong posture for a long time. Wrong postural patterns can cause musculoskeletal problems, one of which is scoliosis. Scoliosis is a spinal deformity characterized by a sideways curved curve with or without spinal rotation. One of the ways to reduce the risk of scoliosis is by providing education. The aim of this counseling is expected to be able to provide education to adolescents in order to reduce the risk of scoliosis in Bakalan Krajan Village, Malang. The method used is to conduct education using leaflet media. The results of this activity were that the participants showed a positive attitude while participating in the community service activities from start to finish. This counseling activity can increase adolescents' knowledge and understanding of scoliosis.

Abstract

Health is a state of health, both physically, mentally, spiritually and socially, which enables everyone to live a productive life socially and economically. Public health is a condition that describes the level of health that occurs in society. Society is a group of individuals who live together, work together to obtain common interests and have an order of life, norms and customs that are adhered to in their environment. Public Health is a part of science that discusses and studies the prevention and treatment of disease in each individual. Some of the conditions found in the community include complaints of knee pain and back pain. The most common knee pain is osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis, affecting millions of people worldwide. This disease occurs as a result of degenerative joints that affect many joint tissues. This problem arises when the protective cartilage at the ends of bones becomes damaged over time. Osteoarthritis usually occurs at the age of 40-60 years. This is caused by the process of degeneration occurring in old age. Apart from osteoarthritis, shoulder diseases are also found, such as spasms and trigger points in the upper trapezius muscle. One of the interventions or modalities provided by infrared physiotherapy. Infrared is one of the physiotherapy modalities in providing services to patients with the aim of causing a relaxation effect and reducing pain. Infrared is a peacock wave that can relieve pain and stiffness in joints and muscles. The process of vasodilation of blood vessels produced by infrared light can accelerate the removal of several pain-stimulating chemicals including bradykinin, serotonin, histamine, and proteolytic enzymes. As well as prostaglandins and substance P which increase the sensitivity of the endings of pain fibers, so that ultimately infrared can reduce the intensity of pain. Apart from providing physiotherapy intervention, they also provide socialization or counseling to the community according to the condition they are complaining about. Providing explanations regarding conditions or complaints from each community by providing education and home programs.

Abstract

The community service activities carried out are in the form of assistance for MSMEs "Home Made Bread Business" in terms of promotion and marketing of "Home Made Bread" products through social media such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook. This assistance is intended to further introduce the product to consumers and expand the marketing area through the role of social media.

Abstract

This activity is motivated by people's low motivation to open a business due to their low knowledge about the business world, especially in the current era of digitalization. The PKM method used is the lecture method for delivering discussion studies and the discussion method for solving problems and finding solutions that participants are facing. This PKM activity was carried out in Batam City, especially at PKBM Friends of Cendikia. Results of PKM activities.
