Abstract

The use of video tutorial supports the practicum in the learning process. The present study developed a video tutorial on Agung Khas Buleleng bridal makeup as learning media for Balinese bridal makeup courses. This study was designed in research and development (Research & Development) using the ADDIE model. This study involved 4 lecturers teaching Balinese bridal makeup courses, 12 students taking Balinese bridal makeup courses, and 4 experts. This study used three instruments, namely interview guides, questionnaires, and checklist sheets. The data collected were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study show namely (1) Students who take part in the process of learning Balinese bridal make-up need learning media in an audio-visual form that is authentic and presents the steps for facial make-up, hair make-up, and Balinese bridal fashion using Payas Agung Khas Buleleng; (2) The development of the Bali Payas Agung Khas Buleleng bridal make-up video tutorial was carried out by adapting the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation; (3) Evaluation shows that the product developed has a good level of feasibility and gets a positive response from students.

Abstract

Inquiry-based learning (IBL) has been proven to be an effective approach to developing 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. However, the adaptation of inquiry phases to different levels of education and specific learning objectives remains a challenge that has not been thoroughly answered. This study used a systematic literature review (SLR) approach to review the IBL model with a focus on identifying the phases of inquiry, exploring the adaptation of IBL at various levels of education, analyzing relevance to learning objectives, and evaluating the effectiveness of scaffolding and research design. From an analysis of 2018-2024 taken from the Google Scholar database, it was found that IBL consists of five main phases-orientation, problem formulation, exploration, elaboration, and evaluation effectiveness depending on the educational context and level of scaffolding. For example, the 5E-Based Inquiry model strongly supports science learning in elementary school, while the self-investigation phase is more appropriate in higher education. In addition, scaffolding, such as the use of advanced organizers and digital simulations, was shown to support student engagement during the inquiry process. This research highlights the flexibility and effectiveness of IBL in supporting conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving and offers insights into the adaptation and implementation of relevant models for different educational needs.

Abstract

This research discusses the management of educational financing at the (STIQ) As-Syifa, a Private Islamic Higher Education Institution (PTKIS) under the auspices of the Yayasan As-Syifa Al-Khoiriyyah. The main focus of the research is on financial management, which includes planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising educational funds. A qualitative approach was used to analyze data obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the financial management at STIQ As-Syifa is conducted centrally through the Finance and General Administration Division (BAUK), supported by an internal audit system every six months. The primary sources of financing come from student contributions and donations from the foundation, managed with principles of transparency and accountability. Additionally, STIQ As-Syifa integrates formal learning programs with Al-Qur'an memorization, which affects the cost structure and financing model applied. However, the main challenges include budget limitations, minimal government assistance, and low participation from the private sector in funding. To address these constraints, STIQ As-Syifa needs to develop innovative strategies in fund management, such as diversifying funding sources and optimizing community participation.

Abstract

This study aims to develop E-Comics media for teaching social studies on social interaction topics for junior high school students and to assess students' responses to its benefits and appeal. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), the study involved seventh-grade students from SMPN 31 Muaro Jambi. Instruments used include a Likert scale questionnaire. Results indicate that the E-Comics media is feasible for use in learning, with validation scores of 85% from media experts, 92% from subject experts, and 99% from teachers. Field trials show a practical feasibility of 96%. The study is expected to contribute to the development of engaging and effective E-Comics-based learning media, offering an innovative reference for teachers to enhance student motivation and learning outcomes in junior high school.

Abstract

Bullying in schools, especially at the junior high school (SMP) level, is a serious issue that can damage students' mental and social health, as well as create an unsafe learning environment. Therefore, it is important to develop effective strategies, such as educational Games, to educate students about the impact of bullying and create a safe learning environment. This study aims to describe the planning, design, development, and feasibility of an educational Game for SMP students. The method used is Research and Development, with subjects being grade IX students of SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi. The Game development follows the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), with validation from content and media experts and field trials. The research results show that the educational Game has high feasibility: 98% content expert validation, 90% media expert validation, 99% teacher response, and 87% field trial results. The Game also received an 85% score for attractiveness, indicating that it is appealing to students. Based on these results, the educational Game is proven to be suitable as a solution to address bullying in SMP, while also serving as an effective and engaging media tool for students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the application of the group investigation (GI) approach method in improving the analysis skills of population mobility in Indonesia in geography learning class XI IPS at SMA Negeri 1 Ngraho. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pretest-postttest control group design, research data obtained through classroom action research conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Ngraho, Bojonegoro. The results showed that the GI method significantly improved analytical skills, with scores increasing from 60 initially to 68 in cycle I, 75 in cycle II, and 82 in cycle III. This shows its effectiveness in helping students understand migration, urbanisation and population distribution. GI also enhances social skills such as communication, collaboration and leadership. Despite initial challenges such as limited understanding of the method and discussion time, the students became increasingly engaged. This research underlines GI as an innovative approach to improving analytical skills in geography education.

Abstract

This study examines the application of science learning methods that integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics or what is called STEM in grade V students who study sound and light waves. The main objective is to determine the impact of this approach on the Literacy and Numeracy skills of students at Public Elementary School 1 Penganten, Grobogan Regency. The method applied is the pre-test, post test, and pre-experiment method through the one shoot case study design pattern. After being treated with the experimental learning method, the average post-test score of students is significantly influential, namely 85.55 and the pre-test score of students with an average of 43.66 using the PjBL learning method. The results of this study show that there is a difference between the pre-test and post-test results applied in measuring Literacy and Numeracy skills with the STEM approach and the PjBL learning model. The results of the t-test for two dependent samples show that sig <0.05 or 0.000 <0.05. Which means that grade V students at Public Elementary School 1 Penganten have increased their literacy and numeracy scores because they apply the STEM approach

Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is a learning method that prioritizes hands-on experience in completing projects. The purpose of this study is to determine how effective the use of the PjBL model is to improve students' understanding and learning outcomes on local network and internet material in class X SMA. The research method used was descriptive quantitative, and a pre-experiment design was used (One Group Pretest-Posttest Design). Students were given a pretest before learning, then the PjBL model was applied, and ended with a posttest to measure the improvement of learning outcomes. The study findings stated that before the application of the PjBL model, all students scored below the minimum standard of completeness. After the application of PjBL, 81.25% of students achieved learning completeness with a significant increase in the average score.  With a percentage increase of 71.8 percent, the N-Gain analysis showed a score of 0.71, indicating that it was quite effective. In addition, students' activities in learning showed positive engagement with an average of 78.5%, as well as 97.2% of students gave positive responses to this learning process. Therefore, the PjBL model has been proven to successfully improve students' learning outcomes on local network and internet materials.

Abstract

Science literacy is an important component in science learning to help students understand science concepts, build science knowledge, and apply it in life. Students' science literacy level is still low and requires further guidance due to learning that does not support students' science literacy skills. The research aims to develop E-LKPD based on Three Dimensional Thinking Graph that is valid, practical, and effective to improve science literacy in junior high school science learning. This research uses development research (Research and Development). The research procedure used is the ADDIE model with the stages of Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate. The product has been applied to students of class VII-C SMP Negeri 6 Jember, with the results that E-LKPD based on Three Dimensional Thinking Graph gets a percentage of 90.5% categorized as very valid, declared very practical getting a percentage of 93.27%, effective to improve science literacy by obtaining an N-gain score of 0.70 which is categorized as high and getting a very good response getting a percentage of 92.52%. This research indicates that E-LKPD based on Three Dimensional Thinking Graph has high validity, is practical in its use, and is effective in supporting junior high school science learning.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of learning using animated videos on students' science learning outcomes. The research adopts a quantitative approach utilizing the T-Test statistical method with the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) software version 22. Based on the analysis results, the mean scores for the pre-test in the experimental class and control class were 39.00 and 39.12, respectively, with significance values (sig 2-tailed) of 0.57 and 0.59. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference in the average scores between the experimental and control classes in the pre-test. However, for the post-test results, the mean scores for the experimental class and control class were 70.00 and 43.21, respectively, with hypothesis testing results of 0.00 for both groups. This indicates a significant difference in average scores between the experimental and control classes in the post-test. This finding demonstrates that the use of animated video media in teaching significantly improves learning outcomes in the experimental class compared to the control class. The experimental class showed better attitudes and achievements in learning compared to the control class.
