Abstract

The author carries out this service activity with the aim of providing education to increase literacy to the visitors to the Maros Regency regional library. In addition, the author also contributed several anthology books with other author friends. This began when he received an assignment letter from the campus and then communicated with the management of the Maros Regency Regional Library. After being accepted, the author came to provide education in the form of brainstorming with visitors about the importance of increasing literacy. Because at that time there was still a Covid-19 pandemic, visitors were still limited, generally only students and students who were still in the online learning process. The educational process with visitors was not carried out simultaneously, but came one by one at the reading table. The author conveys material about the importance of increasing literacy, supporting and inhibiting factors for increasing literacy, solutions to overcome problems of increasing literacy. In addition, the author also prepared several short story anthology books to be shown and discussed to the visitors. After the implementation was completed, the Short Story Anthology book was handed over to the manager of the Regional Library of Maros Regency. This community service activity was carried out in May - July 2021 at the Regional Library of Maros Regency

Abstract

Dissemination of calligraphy workshop training to increase the creativity of TPA Musholla Al-Muhajirin students through workshops and calligraphy writing training. This training was attended by 50 participants specifically for TPA students who took place at the Al-Muhajirin Mosque. The results of these activities showed that some workshop participants experienced confusion when facing the practice of making calligraphy based on artistic knowledge. This workshop activity also carried out practices according to the art of calligraphy. The results of the practice carried out by the workshop participants showed that the participants experienced an increased understanding of calligraphy art material and were able to write calligraphy well

Abstract

The purpose of holding the Mendeley software training program is to make it easier for postgraduate students to write automatic bibliography as well as find references for reputable international journals and accredited national journals in particular and write citations. The method used in training activities is carried out by the team in the form of lectures, practice and question and answer. This training was conducted at the ITB Ahmad Dahlan Lamongan campus on Saturday 17 December 2022, involving lecturers from ITB Ahmad Dahlan Lamongan. The result of the training is to increase students' knowledge of using delay software and making bibliography using reference management. The implication of the training activities is that these activities can be scheduled for each batch of postgraduate students in the future

Abstract

Interest in learning and lack of motivation are the main problems faced by students at SD Negeri 054870 Tanjung Jati. It can be seen that children at this school have a lack of awareness of educational matters, therefore the importance of tutoring will motivate students to be aware of the importance of education for the future. So that the lecturers and students of Quality Berastagi University aim to hold tutoring activities to increase the learning interest of elementary school students at public elementary school 054870 tanjung jati. This service focuses on grade 4 students. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Based on the results of the service implementation, this tutoring activity has a significant impact such as increasing understanding, growing awareness in learning, children are more active in discussing and asking about material that is not understood

Abstract

Gadgets are media that are used as modern communication tools. Now communication activities have developed increasingly more advanced with the emergence of gadgets. Gadgets have an impact on early childhood social development. Excessive use of gadgets will have a negative impact on children's social and emotional development. The negative effects of using gadgets on children include children becoming closed personalities, sleep disturbances, being alone, violent behavior, fading creativity, and threats of cyberbullying. Abstract

Construction is hard work which involves many elements, from the use of heavy equipment to the involvement of large amounts of materials. This causes the world of construction to have a higher risk of work accidents compared to other types of work. For this reason, all parties must understand the importance of implementing Occupational Safety and Health (K3) in construction projects. Socialization of the application of K3 was carried out including the bridge project on Jalan Bilal, Medan. The service will be held on January 16 2023 at 11.00 – 13.00 WIB with the lecture and discussion method. In the early stages, the speaker gave a lecture by introducing the types of personal protective equipment and the importance of applying K3. Then a discussion was held, where the presenter gave the opportunity to the participants to ask questions about K3. In-depth knowledge of OSH and awareness of workers to implement OSH is the result to be achieved in this service

Abstract

English is one of the subjects that must be mastered by students from elementary and secondary levels. However, students often experience difficulty communicating due to a lack of mastery of English vocabulary. This is also supported by learning in schools that use more textbooks than using other more interesting learning methods so that community service activities need to be carried out at SDN 105308 Namo Bintang. The Community Service will be held on February 8, 2023. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The purpose of this community service activity is to train elementary school students to communicate in English to develop knowledge and vocabulary skills by using snakes and ladders media. The method of implementing the activity is carried out through training for children who live at SDN 105308 Namo Bintang. With the use of snakes and ladders media, students at SDN 105308 Namo Bintang are increasingly trained to speak English and master a lot of English vocabulary around their environment

Abstract

The purpose of organizing this service activity has the goal of increasing the knowledge of SMK Mandalahayu 2 Bekasi students on understanding Character Building. Juvenile delinquency is inseparable from the lack of parenting, so at school students must learn what is meant by Character Building in order to adapt and adjust their respective roles in society. The activity was carried out through the counseling method in the classroom where the implementation of the activity was carried out on January 10, 2023. Abstract

Menteng District is located in the administrative area of ​​Central Jakarta City, DKI Jakarta Province. Partners who become objects are MSME actors in the Menteng “Naik Kelas” MSME Community. Currently, the development of products produced by MSME actors has not been maximized. This is because partners have not applied the principles of the halal industry to their products. The goal to be achieved from this community service activity is to improve product quality by guiding partners to develop products based on the halal industry. In general, the method of service carried out to partners is in the form of socialization/virtual counseling related to the halal industry and their product development based on the principles of the halal industry. It is hoped that this training can improve competitiveness and product quality so as to increase the sales volume of products made by the Menteng "Naik Kelas" MSME group. Community service activities were carried out on June 18, 2022, attended by 62 “Naik Kelas” MSME participants. Based on the results of community service, participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the activity. Questions and answers and discussions between the abdimas team and the participants took place interactively and constructively. Participants are very interested in applying the principles of the halal industry to their products. The output of this activity is that MSME actors can apply the concept of the halal industry in developing their products independently
