Abstract

Community Service activities carried out by four lecturers of the Prasetiya Mandiri Polytechnic play a crucial role in the preservation of Palembang City culture and tourism, especially the Telok Abang Ship tradition related to the commemoration of Independence Day on August 17. This program prioritizes collaboration between the academic world and the community in preserving and promoting Palembang's rich cultural heritage. The Telok Abang ship is not only a cultural symbol, but also an important part of the identity and pride of the people of Palembang. The involvement of the younger generation in this preservation shows a strategic effort to instill awareness about the importance of preserving local culture and strengthening the spirit of nationalism. In addition, this activity shows the significant contribution of universities in supporting the preservation of local culture and tourism through community service programs. Thus, this program is not only successful in preserving cultural traditions, but also in developing local tourism and strengthening national identity.

Abstract

Instilling moral ethics based on Islamic values is a crucial aspect in the formation of student character in the educational environment, especially at SMP Muhammadiyah 57 Medan. This study aims to analyze the development of teacher professional abilities in instilling Islamic moral ethics values in the school. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the development of teacher professional abilities greatly influences the effectiveness of instilling Islamic moral values in students. Teachers who have a deep understanding of Islamic values and good pedagogical skills are able to integrate moral education into the curriculum more effectively. In addition, support from the school and a conducive environment also play an important role in this process. Challenges were also found such as the lack of special training for teachers in this field and differences in the level of understanding of moral ethics among students. This study suggests improving training programs for teachers, as well as strengthening cooperation between schools, families, and communities in instilling Islamic values holistically. Thus, it is hoped that a generation will be created that is not only academically intelligent, but also has high morals in accordance with Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Trust for wealth, if not implemented properly, can become a source of disharmony in human life in society. Interactions between poor community members can escalate into hostile attitudes and eventually disputes can occur. Islamic sharia has stipulated the rules of inheritance as best as possible with the rules of wealth clearly and fairly. This is because Islam recognizes a person's ownership of property, both male and female, through a path that is justified by the Shari'a, just as Islam recognizes the transfer of something that a person owns during his life to his heirs after death, whether the heirs are male or female, without distinguishing between children and adults. The noble Qur'an has explained the laws of inheritance, the circumstances of each heir with a sufficient explanation, whereby no one among mankind is exempt from the share or limitation of inheritance. For the Qur'an is its basis in determining the law and its part. And very few are set on the basis of Sunnah and Ijma'. And not found in the Shari'a, the laws explained by the Qur'an are as clear and detailed as these inheritance laws. Indeed, Islam's attention to the matter of inheritance is an extraordinary concern, so the noble Qur'an privileges its explanation with the clearest explanation and not vague.

Abstract

Stunting is a serious health problem in Indonesia, especially in rural areas such as Mugarsari Sub-district, Tasikmalaya. This condition is caused by a lack of adequate nutritional intake during a child's growth period, which can result in impaired physical and cognitive development. This community service aims to increase community awareness and knowledge about the benefits of Moringa oleifera, or Moringa leaves, in stunting prevention. Community service activities include education, training, and mentoring to the community regarding the planting, processing, and consumption of Moringa oleifera as a critical source of nutrition. The results of this program show an increase in community awareness about the importance of balanced nutrition and the potential of Moringa oleifera as a natural solution in overcoming stunting. In addition, the programme also succeeded in encouraging the community to independently utilise Moringa oleifera in their daily diet, which in turn is expected to reduce the stunting rate in this region.
