Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimization of the DPRD budgeting function in the perspective of good governance in the Batu City DDPRD. The problem is focused on optimizing budgeting which includes: community participation, accountability, transparency and value of money. As well as inhibiting factors that refer to the government's internal control system (SPIP). This study refers to the concept and elements of good governance as an analysis of the discussion of the problem. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by analyzing budgeting optimization using elements of good governance. Data were collected through interviews with Batu City DPRD Members, Mrs. Susanti Leverika, who serves as a member of Commission C. This study concludes that in optimizing budgeting, the Batu City DPRD has implemented the principles of good governance and there needs to be budget integration in evaluation.

Abstract

Government communication is essentially just human contact that occurs within the framework of government agencies. Because this process involves the exchange of messages through interdependent formal networks. The problem of the people of Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency who do not receive enough information from the government was the trigger for this research. Some examples of incorrect information include services with unclear completion periods, services that are not interactive, and services with service processes that are not transparent, whether displayed openly on information boards or provided secretly. This research aims to determine the relationship between government communication and the quality of public administration services to the community in Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency. This research uses a qualitative descriptive methodology and collects data through documentation, interviews and observation. Based on the results of the author's research, the PoncokusumoDistrict Office uses various communication techniques, such as choosing the right language and message style, choosing the right media and channels, and resolving communication barriers. The act of defending the rights and interests of other people carried out by an individual or group of people using certain methods, processes and tactics in accordance with standards is considered a form of public service

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the effect of working capital management on firm profitability. Working capital management is measured by five indicators: inventory conversion period, receivables conversion period, payables conversion period, cash conversion cycle, and cash conversion efficiency. Profitability is assessed using four ratios: Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Asset (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Return on Capital Employed (ROCE). This is a quantitative research using secondary data from the financial statements of 24 food and beverage manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2019–2021. The regression analysis results indicate that all working capital indicators significantly and positively affect all four profitability measures. The efficiency of receivables and cash management contributes most dominantly to increasing profitability. These findings reinforce the importance of working capital management in supporting short-term financial performance and achieving corporate profitability. Abstract

The advancement of technology and the widespread use of social media have contributed to the rising participation of young people, particularly Generation Z, in digital investment activities. However, this trend also presents challenges such as impulsive investment decisions driven by social influence and limited financial understanding. This study aims to examine the influence of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) behavior and financial literacy on the investment decisions of students in the Business Administration Study Program at STIA Malang. A quantitative approach was used, employing survey techniques with structured questionnaires distributed to 59 respondents. Data analysis included validity and reliability tests, classical assumption testing, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that both FOMO and financial literacy significantly influence investment decisions, both partially and simultaneously. The R square value of 0.440 suggests that these two independent variables explain 44% of the variation in students’ investment decisions. These findings emphasize the importance of financial education and awareness of social influence in shaping prudent investment behavior. Abstract

Abstract Administrative ethics plays a strategic role in determining the quality of public services, which should not only focus on fulfilling administrative needs but also reflect key principles such as justice, equality, accountability, loyalty, and social responsibility. These principles serve as a critical foundation for realizing good governance, particularly at the village (kelurahan) level as the frontline of public service delivery. This study is intended to analyze the role of administrative ethics in optimizing the quality of public services at the office of Tanjungrejo urban village in Malang City, focusing on four main dimensions: equality, justice, loyalty, and responsibility. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques, with the village head, structural officials, and community members as informants. The findings indicate that the application of ethics in the dimensions of equality and justice has been carried out optimally through services that follow procedures and are free from discrimination. Employee loyalty is generally well demonstrated, although issues of discipline remain. Meanwhile, the majority of staff show a strong sense of professional responsibility in carrying out their duties. These findings affirm that the consistent implementation of administrative ethics can significantly improve the effectiveness and quality of public services, while also strengthening accountability and public trust in local government institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy and fintech peer to peer lending on the decision to use Shopee PayLater. The population in this study was all 71 students at the School of Administration (STIA) Malang class 2019-2022 because there were less than 100 respondents. And the sample that meets the requirements is only 63 respondents. This study used a saturated sample.The results of the f test show that the variables influence Financial Literacy and Fintech Peer to Peer Lending simultaneously and have a significant influence on the variable Decision to Use Shopee Paylater with the result being Fcount > Ftable = 10,435 > 3.15 and a significance value of 0.02 < 0.05, which means the hypothesis of this research accept H1. From the analysis of the Coefficient of Determination (R2) it shows that the R score for this research is 0.705 or it can be explained that the independent variable model contributes to the dependent variable by 70.5% while the remaining 29.5% is explained by other variable models outside this research.

Abstract

Supermarkets and food retail outlets are essential for contemporary society to meet its demands. To spur competition among business people to expand their operations, businesses are developing from small scale to large scale along with the times. In the supermarket business, implementing good inventory management can have a significant impact on purchasing efficiency. This research aims to examine the effect of inventory management strategies on purchasing efficiency at PT Ratu Idaman Pratama. The population in this study were all employees of PT Ratu Idaman Pratama, while the research sample was 20 people who held staff positions or above. Inventory management is a process of arranging, managing and controlling the amount of goods or materials owned by a company so that they are always available when needed without excesses that can cause additional costs. Meanwhile, purchasing efficiency is the ability to obtain the goods or services needed with good quality and the best price, with minimal time and resources and as economically as possible. Data analysis in this paper uses data quality tests, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression, hypothesis testing, and coefficient of determination. The research results prove that inventory management variables simultaneously have a significant effect on purchasing efficiency. The coefficient of determination value is 0.174. This means that 17.4% of the dependent variable can be explained by the independent variable, namely Inventory Management. It is hoped that from the results of this research, the leadership of PT Ratu Idaman Pratama will always supervise inventory management so that it can increase purchasing efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the promotional mix implemented by STIA Malang in facing intense competition among universities in East Java. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was obtained through in-depth interviews and direct observation of campus promotional activities. STIA Malang utilizes various promotional media such as brochures, banners, billboards, radio advertisements, social media (Instagram and TikTok), as well as direct marketing via SMS and WhatsApp blasts, and school visits. The results indicate that the combination of conventional and digital media can increase campus visibility and attract prospective new students. These findings are reinforced by the application of the marketing mix theory (4Ps) and the promotional mix as a conceptual framework. This study recommends increasing the integration of digital marketing for optimal promotional effectiveness.
